Tom and Nathan provided me with all the tools necessary to combat my university economics modules, educating me in both the areas that were not taught sufficiently by my university lecturers and polishing off the others. Nathan went above and beyond to even provide me some last minute reassurance before my exam, which was highly appreciated and settled my nerves. Tom went above and beyond helping us when buying our first home. He not only helped with finding the right mortgage but he also helped us weight up the positives and negatives of each house we wanted to put an offer in (was it worth the money, would it be likely to make or lose money on the property). He was also able to point us in the right direction for a solicitor and surveyor when completing our purchase. After all Tom’s help towards buying our first home we have just been in touch again to sort our pensions out. Which again we couldn’t be happier with. His approach and explanation is second to none. Had Tom during my undergrad career once in first year through to my final year (just a few weeks ago) He’s been great, helped me understand economics and bring my average up from a 2:2 to a 1st. So when I was the Head of the Economics society at Uni of Liverpool, I had him teach me and some peers when he opened his company, the MBE academy. He taught me and my peers, who have since gone on to do health economics, general economics and finance at masters level, as well as consulting jobs which he helped them in deciding their field and career based on their interests. Tom is capable, smart and genuinely cares about your progression, being late night library studies or working his day around you, he’s a really delightful person to have been tutored by and I don’t think me, or any of my peers that were struggling would be where they were without him. I initially got in touch with MBE academy to help me with some 3rd year undergraduate economics. Not only did he further my understanding of the mathematics involved, he really went out of his way to make sure I was feeling confident before my exam. When you ask for his help, it doesn’t feel like you’re just paying for some service to help you understand your course content, it feels like you’re getting to know a guy who’s properly invested in your development. To illustrate what I mean, although he mainly specialises in tutoring formal maths/economics/business to all levels, he’s not limited to those fields by any means: after my exam he insisted on chatting for an hour (Free of charge) to go over some financial advice for when I graduate. These were all very welcome tips from a guy who formerly worked in the financial industry. As I said you’re not just paying for help on with your course/syllabus, you’re paying for all the extra wisdom that he provides. 10/10 would recommend, and I’m looking forward to keeping our financial literacy lessons going 👍
