The whole day ran so smoothly and was the cold weather was helped by the fact that all the instructors were really friendly, funny and helpful. I spent a lot of time with Rob who also helped talk me through taking the next step with my motorbike license and helped recommend bikes that I was interested in. Choose A2Z if you want your CBT or to take up a motorbike license.

Best place and team to do your CBT. Everyone is friendly, understanding, helpful and very skilled. I felt welcomed from the start to the end. I gained loads of confidence. The whole training day is amazing, very detailed and all the instructors are super patient. If you're not very good at one exercise they will make sure that they spend some extra time with you until you feel comfortable with that exercise and only then move on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IT!! Calm and relaxed place to get your training done. The roads are open. So if you are new. It will be easy to start your day from that location. Also the instructor is a great guy.

Came from another CBT (Where I failed .. and the instructors there were impatient and snappy), these guys however are really patient with you. If you mess up or take a bit longer to get something down they're calm about it and will encouragingly show you how to do it properly. You feel like they want you to pass just as much as you do. My experience of A2Z Rider Training has been fantastic. I could have never asked for more whilst training for my DAS. From Tina handling my initial phonecall and the administration to the guy's who all participated in my training which i got to pass first time was amazing. Being that I was somewhat nervous, I felt in good hands and they got me through my 2 modules 1st time. They are all a fantastic bunch and I would highly recommend them to all. Many thanks to the team ! I completed a cbt 2 years ago and have been on a scooter since then, had to retake the cbt as I want to get the a2 so they recommended I do it on a 125 geared bike in preparation . Ozzie was friendly and patient and taught me how to ride the geared bike from the basics and not long after I had gotten the hang of it ! No complaints great trainers and I’ll definitely be doing my a2 with them as soon as I can ! I've just completed my Direct Access course with A2Z Rider Training, and delighted to have passed my motorcycle test first time! From the moment I first called them, I knew I'd made the right decision. Tina was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Ozzie and Shane, my two instructors were seriously helpful and have an excellent style of instruction. The bikes, Yamaha ML07's were brand new, and a perfect choice as a learner bike. And with only 2 students per instructor, it was a perfect ratio to ensure I got the most out of the course. I would highly recommend this company.

A2Z is a great school to work with! I did both CBT and Direct Access Scheme with them. Ozzie and Tina are great to give advise and the best plan of action, thank you both! My Direct Access Scheme was done with Fluffy and Shane. They are amazing teachers, they don’t just teach you how to pass, they teach you how to continue riding safely and prepare you for your life on the bike. This is the main reason I recommend a2z, as someone who commutes in London daily I find this experience vital. I am confident to say that I am a much safer rider now! I did my MOD1 and MOD2 in one day, which is how A2Z recommends it, as everything is done all in one go and no need to wait for mod2 for weeks. I have passed both mod1 and mod2 with my first attempt with only few minors. The lessons were extremely hard, but who cares when you get a full licence in just 5 days? If you do everything they say, you will pass! As I passed, I went straight to the dealership for a test ride and picked up my new bike the next day. Thanks Fluffy (especially Fluffy) and Shane! Was (tough, but) amazing working with you! All the best and I hope to see you sometime in the future, Igor

I took a DAS course with A2Z rider and passed Modules 1 and 2 on the same day. Tina, Ossie and Shane were extremely professional and got the best out of my riding skills. Training is really efficient and practical: on top of regular rides, we did a mock test for Module 2 and went to the test center to practice for Module 1 on a Sunday. So when I took the test I knew exactly what to do and felt confident and passed! The training bikes were brand new and enjoyable to ride. Not only the training is top notch quality and rigorous, it was also a lot of fun. The whole team is friendly which made my training a real positive experience. Would definitely recommend.

Great school, I did my DAS with instructor Fluffy who is passionate about his job and bikes (he is also very funny). He will see all your mistakes and teach you how to drive safely (it's all about "observation and planning")... He will require the best from you but the day of the exam you will be more than ready! Only negative comment was about his brand new radio which needs some adjustments to hear well his instructions while riding. Tina has also been amazing, making this all experience very smooth. She will find a solution for each request. Overall, highly recommended.

I finally have my full motorcycle license all thanks to A2Z. At every point through this journey every member of staff treated me like a valued customer, matching my own motivation to get my license. Tina who booked in my classes and my tests was an absolute gem (she became my rider mum). Fluffy and Shane my instructors were not only experienced, knowledgeable but taught with an exceptional balance of toughness, humour and genuine care! They were hilarious. Loved the fact that Fluffy could pin point why my U-turned totally sucked and with a few words of advice I nailed it. They really looked after us learners. It was such a privilege to be taught by them both and to be consoled by Tina when I needed that extra motivation...it's a shame I passed. There is a real family feeling with A2Z which is often lost in just providing a service. And they did more than just offer a service. Thank you, truly, A2Z!

I've done CBT and DAS with A2Z and had great experience with both. Not only I learned how to pass the exam and ride safely, I also had a lot of fun. A2Z is a family business and all the instructors are friends for ages. For the student it feels like joining a group of friends who are having fun time challenging each other to be better. Well, they will mostly challenge you, but you can also make them guess why in hell you've done that crazy thing on a roundabout/junction/pedestrian crossing :) If you think that riding is easy and you will have no problems whatsoever, then ask Fluffy to be your instructor. He will calibrate your perception with his tough couching style. If you feel like you will benefit from teaching style more then Shane is your man. John is doing CBT only but he is a great teacher as well. I haven't had an opportunity to spend a lot of time with Ozzy, but he was using every occasion to check whether I have any questions and give useful piece of advice. Tina was doing a great job arranging everything and making sure my busy schedule is taken into account. Overall, I had great experience with this company and happy to recommend them.

Tina was great at helping me get my course booked and information sorted, always responding quickly whenever I had a query. The course itself was exactly as I'd hoped. Passed full motorbike Mod 2 test after training with Shane from A2Z! Fantastic experience: Tina made a real effort to find me training and test dates over the last 2 months - she is really well spoken and helpful. Shane is a brilliant instructor - seldom gets visibly frustrated or annoyed while you repeatedly make the same mistakes, does not berate you over the radio while on a ride, calmly points out your mistakes after the ride and tells you what to do, makes a real effort to connect with the riders and really encourages you before the test (hiding his personal doubts about your ability to pass - I know he was surprised that I cleared :) Fluffy who was the other instructor I met was also really helpful and his banter helped create a relaxing atmosphere. These guys are very good. I also renewed my CBT with A2Z and it was again very professionally done. I can honestly compare with a much worse experience at Advantage Wimbledon last year - where the instructor did the opposite of everything above. No wonder I didn't go back and would never recommend them to anyone. If you are looking to train and qualify, go with A2Z...you will be in good hands.

I just passed my Direct Access test this morning after a four day training course with A2Z Rider Training. I did my CBT with these guys 2 years ago and liked them so much that I did my full licence course with them too. I found my experience of the training course to be very fulfilling. I had two instructors over the four days, Ozzy and Shayne who were both really good, patient and knowledgeable. The bike I used, Yamaha MT-07 was brand new, a really great bike. The test itself is by law hard to pass, however I felt I had been given all the skills and tips to pass first time and in my case I did so with zero minors, an A* test result if you will, which I think says a lot about the level of skill they got me to. I would strongly recommend the course to all friends or family who were looking to take out their full licence. I’ve not been able to stop smiling all day. Go with these guys, you won’t be disappointed.

I have done my CBT with A2Z Rider North London Motorcycle Training School today. Experience was amazing!!! I never ride motorbike before and just made it done in one go. Specially I would like say thank you to my 2 instructors who put me on the 🏍 vehicle with zero to fully confident. Trust me, how they both do demonstration and explain in order the complete training process, you have to say just one word “WOW”. Damn experienced, super talented on what they are doing. ***I can’t believe it, I have done it**** I couldn’t be confident enough to show my performance as expected but they made me do it multiple times and make me more confident to be on main roads. Just loved the complete training. Really grateful to my instructors. You don’t need to know anything, Just see and follow their instructions. If I can do it , anyone can do it. Respectful people and they make you feel the same way.

Great riding school, managed to get me through both Mod1 and Mod2 from the first time. I wasn't great on a bike before the course, so I took the longer version. Tina managed to adjust the schedule to help with work and I started very soon, which fit just right. The plan was to learn a lot and pass the tests before my theory test expired, two days after the Mod1/2 date. Thanks to the great instruction from Shane it all worked out perfectly. The bikes are quite new and easy to handle. Also, practicing on the exam location helped a lot, both for Mod1 and Mod2. I'd have probably failed on the swerve of Mod1 if I hadn't done it several times before the test. And for Mod2 I was out mostly on roads which we had covered during the training, which helped immensely. Can't recommend them enough, very patient, level-headed, very good at helping me at build confidence with the bikes and on the road, great instruction.

Couldn’t be happier about my riding experience with A2Z, taking my DAS and passing MOD1/MOD2 first time. From the moment you book your course with Tina over the phone, you know you’ve made the right choice. Tina is considerate and always trying to help, managing course times around your schedule. Once you start your course things get even better. I was training with Rob who not only has bucket loads of experience, but is also a great guy to spend time with, making the training days very enjoyable and educational. Rob trains you well above test standards and prepares you for every elements of both tests. In parallel to my training with Rob, I also had the pleasure of spending time with Shane who made sure everyone was having a good time and sharing his own perspective on the test. All in all, a great team and a fantastic atmosphere. In fact, even in the stress-inducing environment that is the test centre waiting room, you could easily tell Rob and Shane were the two instructors there with the most rapport with their students (by a mile..). I passed MOD1/MOD2 first time and on the same day, and would recommend A2Z to anyone interested in taking their test. Thanks team!

Booking and organising of everything was done by the lovely Tina and a brief phone chat to her kids who were super sweet! Absolutely a great family run business. My experience on geared bikes was nil, but Ozzie was really, really friendly, funny and supportive. His instruction particularly getting used to the gears was fantastic, as was his help through the radio when we were out on the road. He didn't get frustrated with all my annoying errors and instead tried to see the funny side. Seeing him support and motivate others in the group was really encouraging too. Outstanding riding school. My instructor, Rob was as much a guardian as a mentor on the road. Detailed, comprehensive and relaxed training and instruction. You could not be more ready for the tests after spending the course time with these instructors. Passed first time out in the most appalling weather conditions. Rob and Shane's attendance with us on test day was confidence inspiring and helped a great deal with the nerves. A school by bikers for bikers. From the excellent and seamless administration by the lovely Tina, supportive assessment of my riding ability by Ozzie to the instruction by Rob, I cannot recommend them more.

Having never been on a bike prior to doing my CBT just over 3 months ago to now having successfully completed the Mod 2, I cannot highly recommend A2Z enough. The DAS course was very well structured to get a novice biker like me up to test standard and beyond. Both Ossie and Shane are a wealth of knowledge and are very approachable and friendly. Their teaching techniques are simply amazing and they have such an eye for detail in moulding you to be a better rider. The Yam MT07 bikes are all new and make a lovely bike to learn riding on. Did my CBT on a geared motorcycle on a saturday and it was an amazing experience. Compared to my first expired CBT over five years ago with a different school which was miserable, crowded and unprofessional these guys are setting an example as to how to run a rider training. Absolutely fantastic day out and Shane was the trainer who handled learners with the most patient and professional manners. Highly recommended, these guys are the best, don't look elsewhere for your training. So impressed I will be booking my DAS with them next month. There are toilets nearby and a petrol station next door to buy food and drinks.

I've done a number of courses with this brilliant training school. The training I received was consistently clear and easy to understand and the team is very friendly. If you've been on the road long enough to have good road sense and are confident on two wheels, renewing a CBT can be quite a bore, to say the least. The guys at a2z make the course seem like less of a tedious chore (dare I say fun?) and are very informative. I was quite nervous starting my A2 licence training, having little experience on a geared bike and none on anything bigger than a 125. My anxieties were quickly dispelled by Ozzie who has a knack for restoring your confidence and adapting his training depending on your abilities: cementing strengths and improving on weaknesses. He is also very patient and extremely supportive- both important qualities for teaching. Though you may find a cheaper course elsewhere, you feel like you get your money's worth with these guys- it makes all the difference to train with friendly staff who believe in what they do. I’ve just completed the CBT course on the Honda 125 having had no experience of motorbikes. The training team were really good, guiding me through all of the basics before taking me out on the roads around Wood Green. The guys are all very professional, but also good fun; I felt that I was in really safe hands under the guidance of Rob, Ozzie and Fluff??? There was another trainee who took a little longer to master the bike, and it was good to see that he wasn’t pushed into going out onto the roads; instead given the time ‘off road’ to get to grips with the bike. I shall definitely be following up with the Direct Access Course as soon as I can convince my wife that it’s a good idea!

I recently completed the full access course with Ozzie and Tina. I have to say that the experience was first class. Ozzie is a great instructor; very knowledgeable and patient, but also great at making sure you actually enjoy the week! The course with A2Z was a little more expensive than some of the other local providers, but the main reason for this is that Ozzie hires out the actual DSA test centre to train you for mod 1 - an invaluable part of the course and worth every penny. Getting a motorbike license can be a time consuming and costly process these days, its really worthwhile finding a decent training school to give the best chance of passing. I'd definitely recommend A2Z

I booked a CBT course with a2z based on the great reviews I read whist trying to decide which school to go for and I couldn't have hoped for any better. Despite being an experienced road user, I had no prior experience on a scooter. With help from all three instructors on the day (Ossie, Gen & Richard) I managed to go from novice to feeling very comfortable riding on the roads. Needless to say, I passed and will be back in two years to renew. Everything from calling and booking with Tina to getting my certificate was very professional and easy to understand. First class, and professional throughout. I did the CBT and then the Direct Access Course to get a full license, and from beginning to end it was everything they promised. Tina was great with communication and admin, and worked with me to accommodate a difficult schedule. Ozzy and his team doing the CBT were all ex-military, paratroopers and marines, with decades of experience, and they were great at giving clear instructions and working with all kinds of people. I had some riding experience, but 20 years ago on a learner bike, and I was very pleased that they helped me regain my confidence and quickly recognised that I didn't need every last bit of the basic training in the CBT, and worked with me to get my confidence back. I was very impressed with the direct and honest way they dealt with another rider whose skills didn't match his ambitions, and they obviously had his best interests at heart in helping him to adjust his ambitions to his ability. When I moved on to the Direct Access Course, I had Shane as an instructor, and couldn't have asked for anyone better. He was patient, clear, and having been an examiner in the past, brought an insiders view to the whole testing process. I liked the way they took us regularly to the test centre, and got us familiar with the roads around there, and also the atmosphere inside. That meant that when the day came, there were no surprises, and I'm grateful to have got through first time. I met others who were retesting after making unfortunate mistakes on the day, but they seemed, like me, to have been thoroughly impressed with their training and the friendly banter. By the end of what was a very short course, it seemed like we were all leaving as friends. Well done Tina, Ozzy, Shane, and "Fluffy" -- yes, that's what they call him, but he's about 6'3" and an ex marine, so I guess he get's to be called what he wants!

I've just finished a 5 day Direct Access Scheme with A2Z. It was a fantastic experience and took me from total novice (never sat on a big bike) to passing my module 1 & 2 in a week! Organisation: Thoroughly professional and reputable organisation. Tina organises everything and will sort out a program that works for you! Bikes: Lovely new Yamaha MT07 bikes. 700cc with ABS. Perfect bikes, very easy to ride and mechanically sound. ABS was essential for my over zealous right foot in the emergency stop. Trainers: Motorbike training comes down to the trainers. Shane and Fluffy run the DAS training and are simply phenomenal. Hugely experienced and very patient teachers. They look at your riding personally and will pick out the details that will catch you out on test day. Shane is an ex-examiner so knows all the tricks to get you through & Fluffy is brilliant at getting your head around the mental side of the test. Overall: 100% recommended. Awesome.

I recently passed my Module 1 & 2 first time after completing the 5 day DAS course. The whole experience was great from initially arranging appointments with Tina then riding with Ossie and Shane. For the road training the instruction I received from Shane was outstanding, he is very experienced, knowledgeable, informative, calm and patient. Shane was previously a DSA test examiner which is a great advantage having someone who knows how to train you to ride safely. It was beneficial that most of the time on the bike was like a mock test, preparing for the real ones. Some other schools may appear less expensive but may not state you need to hire a bike and also have an instructor with you on the day of your test so this must be factored in. The bike was a perfectly maintained new Yamaha MT-07 with ABS which was a great bike to carry out the training and tests on. Another main difference is that we carried out a morning training session on the module 1 course at the Enfield test centre. I would not hesitate in recommending A2Z for any form of rider training and will be taking some advanced rider training in the near future. Thanks again to Tina, Ossie and Shane. Passed both Mod 1 & 2 (DAS geared big bike) today at first attempt. My principal trainer was Shane who as an ex-examiner speaks with authority. However he is human and has been known to smile. His cohort Fluffy got me out on the road on the 700cc last Saturday week. But don't expect to just do this in 4 days and pass this test. I did 2 extra lessons on big bike and hired a 125 for 10days. These guys are ex military so just take orders and get on with it. If a contrary 57 year old can pass this test: anyone can!

Words cannot explain fully just how good A2Z Rider Training services are! From my first phone call to Tina to the successful passing of both tests with Ossie, I was looked after superbly. No matter what type of person you are, Ossie will quickly understand the best way to teach you and cater the course to your needs. Having experienced a few different instructors in my time I feel I should say that none came close to the effectiveness of Ossie's style. He is infinitely patient, answers all of your questions by explaining theory, gives you enough freedom to find your own riding style and in doing so builds a great affinity between you and the machine. Myself and another learner called Tom had an awesome time on the course, having great laughs and fun as well as all the learning, it is pitched just perfectly. I honestly don't think I'd have passed first time using one of the other schools, A2Z's service is so welcoming and comprehensive I would not hesitate to recommend them to others looking for the DAS. I chose A2Z because of both their location and their reviews. I took my CBT through them, which I thoroughly enjoyed, closely followed by my Direct Access. Tina's guidance on the phone was invaluable, with advice on when to book which course/theory test etc. The Direct Access instructors approach could possibly be referred to as 'direct', but with good reason. My advice: Choose A2Z for your training. Whatever you think of their approach, leave your ego at the gate when you go in, and do exactly what the instructors are telling you. By around day-3, you'll realise why. Very glad I chose A2Z.

I completed my CBT and DAS course with A2Z and passed all first time! The CBT is an hour in a car park followed by 120 mins on the quiet residential roads around Islington. If you're doing the DAS then you can complete the CBT on a manual geared 125, which is a good starter towards the big bike. CBTs are done in groups of 6, which can split to ensure groupings of similar ability. Tina did a great job at scheduling the DAS course around my diary, which was 4 days training (6 hours a day) followed by both mod 1 & 2 tests on the 5th day. Day 1 is an introduction to the big bike, of which A2Z have a fleet of brand new Yamaha MT07 ABS which are great to ride a look wicked (so much so I picked mine up yesterday!). You'll spend the first day riding around Islington learning junction discipline and then the remaining days are up around Enfield, Waltham Abbey and Chingford which are where the mod 2 test routes are, picking out specific tricky potential parts of test routes to practice. The great approach to the training is that time isn't spent riding around cones in preparation for mod 1, it's spent riding on the roads of which the scenarios you ride are then related back to the types of maneuvers on mod 1 exercises, killing two birds with one stone. Every day will rendez-vous at the DVSA test centre, to get used to the surroundings of the test centre and where the mod 1 test is held - there are opportunities to watch each exercise in test and on the 4 day A2Z take you onto the Mod 1 yard to do practice runs of each exercise before the test on day 5 (not all schools do this). It's clear that A2Z really commit and pride themselves on a 95%+ pass rate on mod 1! The DAS is completed with 1 other student, so 2 students to 1 instructor. Ossie and Shane are absolutely fantastic instructors - clearly are both experienced, safe and credible riders and instructors (Shane used to be an examiner, which is great experience for mock tests). But mostly, they're a good laugh, patient and tailor the course to your needs and areas of development. Tina runs the show and all runs brilliantly! My mod 2 test got cancelled by the DVSA but Tina managed to get me rebooked in weeks rather than the 3 months the DVSA were quoting! Overall, if I could give these guys 6 stars I would - the whole course from start to finish was enjoyable, great quality and without any issues. My perception was that A2Z are head and shoulders above the other schools you see up at the test centre in professionalism and genuine care for students success. Thanks a lot, guys - I'll definitely be seeing you in the future for some advanced training!

I’m that person who reads reviews before I go somewhere...I look at the good and the bad to make a first judgement...Yes you can get fake reviews but with this place in particular It favours on the positives so I decided to see for myself...Upon arrival I was greeted with ozzy who was very kind and welcoming like he reviews state. He asked all the right questions as I was doing a automatic to manual conversion course...I had my cbt on a automatic and wanted to make the transition and this place had the course to offer at a good rate! Automatics are modern 50ccs and geared bikes are modern 125ccs My instructor for the day was Shane, he asked me wether I have ridden a manual bike before, my reply was no but he reassured me that it was not a problem and took the time to go through the very basics. Within 10minutes of having Shane’s time and patience, I already caught onto the basics. By the time a hour came I was ready to go on my own motorbike! The reviews are definitely legit, very friendly, patient and professional staff all around. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is new to riding who want to take their CBT...Anyone who want to do a gear conversion course, and anyone who wants to take their A1&A2 course because I know I definitely will be back for that! Taking my motorbike licence was something I'd wanted to do for years, but had always been worried about the safety of a bike, feeling vulnerable and making sure I found a riding school that understood that. I booked my CBT with these guys and was taken out on the road by Shane who as well as being an absolutely great guy, was incredibly helpful when it came to making sure we did things thoroughly. CBT passed, job done. I decided then to take my full licence through their DAS scheme to progress onto the bigger bikes. Again I requested Shane but also had contact with Ozzie during this period. Both these guys put safety at the forefront of teaching and not once did I have to worry about riding on the road. It's very easy to think of an instructor as the guy who has to say specific things to you, guide you, and ultimately that can make people nervous. By creating a warm teaching environment, both Ozzie and Shane helped myself relax and riding a bigger bike became natural in no time. They were thorough in making sure that I was prepared for riding a bike on the road as well as under exam conditions and ultimately I felt confident going into my test. Can't thank these guys enough for a great learning experience! Far more enjoyable than my car licence! Recommend to anyone!

After doing a decent amount of research into where to do my DAS, Im glad I chose A2Z, after being recommended by a colleague. Myself and a friend went along to do the free assessment and almost immediately I could tell this was a good place. Great atmosphere, well maintained bikes, friendly, knowledgable guys who obviously cared about the job and getting us trained, rather than just churning out people constantly. Shane was our instructor for the majority of the time, along with Ossie, both of who were able to answer all our questions and suitably prepare us for the tests, which we both passed first time. Plenty of communication and feedback on our progress/performance, so I could really feel my progression during the 4 days training. A2Z are one of few schools which hire out the mod 1 test course for a practice session, which really was invaluable to me, I was more nervous about mod 1 than mod 2, but I passed (both modules) with no faults, which I certainly couldn't have done without the practice session on the mod 1 course and the guidance from Shane and Ossie. A big thanks as well to Tina over email, who helped us getting everything booked. It's always nice to have a quick, real reply rather than a "copy and paste" reply sent to everyone. During my CBT with A2Z I got very impressed with the level of commitment from all the instructors and chose to stay with them for my DAS training. I certainly did not regret the decision as the 4-day course enabled me to pass both modules 1 & 2 first time. The training schedule was customised to accommodate my work calendar and Ossie (the instructor) covered every single detail that counts on test day. The intensity of the 4-day course is just about right: we went straight onto the big bikes, spending the first two days on slow roads in Islington. This enabled me to get used to the machine and build confidence to move onto busier roads on days 3 & 4. Ossie is very thorough and did not let me develop any bad habits I would have inevitably picked up while riding on my own. The entire training was designed around test requirements while progressing at my pace and making me feel safe on the bike. Best thing about the whole experience was the free evaluation before I booked anything to make sure I was ready, they are not looking to just take your money, they care that you'll be able to pass and their pass rate shows it. What a great team at A2Z, after completing my CBT 2 years ago at another school I decided to get my full A class license. I chose A2Z because of the reviews and it's all legit. Tina was really organised and got me an assessment pretty quickly with Ossie, her partner in crime. Ossie's teaching methods are basically: get to know the bike and then learn the manoeuvres. Makes total sense, and that's why after 4 days of lessons I passed my Mod 1 test and Mod 2 test on the same day in heavy rain, first time. There's no better review than that.

I recently completed a 5 day DAS with A2Z and was fortunate enough to have passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time. Most of my training was with Shane, who was an excellent teacher, good fun and provided great individualised advice. For example, Shane took extra time covering u turn manoeuvres with me as I was struggling at the beginning with these. Coordination from Tina was superb - not only did she time my days around a challenging work schedule, she promptly rescheduled my module 2 test when the DVSA cancelled it last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. This level of organisation is especially great when you only have a few weeks on your CBT and theory test left! Other fantastic pros of A2Z include training on modern Yamaha MT-07s, spending a day on the actual module 1 site before test day and the central location of Islington for all training day starts. As a Driving Instructor of 23 years but with limited bike skills Ossie concentrated more on my slow speed riding technique. Practicing on the pad at the test centre site for mod 1 was invaluable as there is nothing like a dress rehearsal. The instructors were beyond experienced. Stuart is an ex-examiner, and knows what he's chatting about. Rob was an ex-police motorcycle rider and I think he had more years under his belt than I've been alive!! I'm pretty sure the school is the only one that allows you to practice on the Mod1 site the Sunday before your test. So you're literally test-ready not suggestively test ready. Of the 3 others I did my Mod1 with 3 of us got no minors and the other guy got 1. They prepare you for the Mod2 thoroughly basically testing your testable ability on every road ride and providing truly thorough feedback on your ride. I can't fault them, they block book so if you pass your mod1, you'll be taking your mod2 the same day 😊 Ultimately I passed, so I have much love for this school!!

I started with A2Z with a CBT back in July 2016, I contacted Tina and was helped with all the questions I had. With instruction from Sebastian, I completed the course first time. (If you want to take your CBT on a geared bike make sure you mention it when you book the course) After completing my CBT I knew I wanted to take my full licence. I had never ridden a motorbike before so I wanted the best training possible. I looked around. And I mean looked around! I wanted to find the best cheapest option for tutelage. After months of research; my previous experience with A2Z plus the reviews on and off their site I knew it was best to stay with them. They are not the cheapest, but as they say you pay for what you get. I also took a Gear conversion course with A2Z to get some more experience on a geared bike. I did my CBT on a scooter. During my Gear conversion course Ossie kept an eye on me since I had my DAS a few days after that. After my Gear conversion Ossie recommended that I rent a bike during the time I had leading up to my DAS to ensure a first time pass. While I didn’t bank on renting a bike it was good advice and helped tremendously towards me passing my DAS on November 2016 first time. During my DAS I was trained by Shane, Shane bestowed his sage wisdom with a tough and fair assessment throughout. He really helped iron out the kinks and prepare me for test conditions and road riding. I would wholeheartedly recommend A2Z to anyone sitting on the fence. For any newbies I would recommend talking to Tina about renting a bike; also do a lot of research about common rider mistakes online, if you intend to do your full licence for a smoother transition. I decided to go with this school because of the good online reviews, where ppl stated that although the price isn't the cheapest, it's definitely worth it. I had an amazing experience from the moment I spoke with Tina on the phone all the way through the lessons with Ossie and Shane. Although I had a couple of thousand miles of experience riding in the USA, I had close to no experience in UK and went with the 4 day DAS course on the brand new Yamaha MT-07 ABS version (amazing bikes). We did the tests in the Enfield test Centre and I passed my Mod 1 1st time and Mod 2 2nd time (probably failed Mod 2 because I didn't do the 5th day of the DAS course, which was a mock Mod 2 exam!). I took the DAS for 5 days with Fluffy in Islington. Fluffy was great, being a scooter driver I had way too many bad habits but fluffy wouldn't stop nagging me until he put me straight and he did not give up on me! The practice at the mode one test center was very helpful as both Shane and Fluffy observed and it gave me so much confidence but unfortunately I got unlucky and failed on the emergency swerve on my first attempt ( so dont look at the inner cone)! I rebooked the test for the following week and passed both Mode 1 and Mode 2. Tina was also very prompt and efficient with communication and organising training and test dates leaving me to focus on the bike riding. I would definitely recommend A2Z they do their best for you to pass. 5 Stars all the way!

Utterly flawless from start to finish. Passed first time, both Mod 1 & 2. I was incredibly nervous due to poor experiences with other London based schools, but as soon as Tina picked up the phone and talked me through the process, and ways that A2Z differ from other schools, I felt at ease. The unique part about A2Z is that they welcome you to visit their Woodgreen site for a free assessment (on a 125cc) and then Ozzie will recommend (based on that and previous experience) how to proceed. I felt instantly more relaxed with Ozzie who wasn't salesy, wasn't pushy and was always smiling! As for the actual training, I was assigned Fluffy who ,on first appearances, is a big dude who looks kinda scary! But in reality, Fluffy is incredibly funny with an amazing sense of humor and great stories. During the training he was firm but fair and what I liked in particular was HIS ability (not ours) to adapt based on how I was progressing. In my instance he noticed I needed a few more breaks to not 'burn out'. Fluffy was often accompanied by Shane (another instructor) and both of them combined has a wealth of advice I struggle to see any other school being able to match. They between them also had good banter which was hilarious to watch! I was fortunate to pass first time, both Mod 1 & 2 and couldn't quite believe it. I regularly doubted myself at the start but Fluffy is quick to get that out of your brain and work with you so you can pass. Look no further and book with A2Z!!

This is a really easy decision. Do your Advanced Rider Training with A2Z. Full Stop. I've just completed my unrestricted Mod 1 & 2 via A2Z and it has been nothing but a flawless experience. Let me go into detail: Let's get the boring part out of the way first. Yes, these guys charge more than other companies in the area... but that comes down to the old adage 'you get what you pay for'. A2Z don't teach you to 'pass a test', rather they teach you to be a confident and safe rider... which makes passing the mod 1 & 2 test easy. I'm sure you'll find cheaper options, but I saw so many other riders using other companies fail their test ... and having spoken to a couple, they said their course was designed to help them pass a test. They hardly spend any time on the open road. I did my unrestricted rider training with only 1 other person... that meant I had so much one on one time with Ossie (the instructor). And having only one other student meant that we bonded quickly and helped each other learn as we went along. As for Ossie... well apart from telling bad jokes, he is a top shelf bloke. He is ex military, so he is a no nonsense instructor, clear communicator and a very very good rider. He makes the whole experience fantastic. He and his lovely wife are the whole business, so they are a small independent London company who rely on referrals... so it's in their business to make you pass the 1st time. Let's talk bikes. The bikes are a year old at best... and to be honest, they ride themselves. ABS, smooth handling and a bit of grunt as well. Ossie often was telling me to "get on with it" which meant we often pulled the throttle back on the carriage way. We spent quite a few hours on the actual Mod 1 course the day before. That meant by the time I did the Mod 1 course, I'd already done the circuit about a dozen times. So passing with zero minors was easy. So if you want to take your chance with a cheaper company, be on a course with 5 + people and simply learn how to pass a test, and potentially have to fork our more money if you fail then go elsewhere. If you want to learn how to be a confident rider, safe road user, and have fun then A2Z is your answer. But I think the reviews on this google maps page have told you that already. Good luck.

I really can't see how they could improve! I can't have been an easy student; I have a short concentration span, bad habits from years of riding a scooter the works. But these guys handled everything amazingly and I PASSED (this morning). I would honestly have given them 5* if I failed both modules (DAS scheme) today though. They recommended the correct amount of days for me, 4 lesson days and a test day (5 total and even on test day there is a bit of training) others I met did 3 plus test and passed, so they had assessed me and them correctly, no money grabbing. Also, if you call around and look at prices, you can't see immediately the £ per road or bike mile of different places. So one centre will say a "day" but they might mean 2-4 hours. These guys I did a few days 7am - 1pm! with a few breaks obviously, but you need that time, to adjust and settle in. Anyway, do your training with them, it is the best, I wish I had done my geared CBT with them too, but this was a very good product. P.S. 2017 plate 700CC bike with ABS. Nice clutch.

A2Z Rider Training taught me for both my CBT and Direct Access. Ossie is a very skilled instructor, friendly, attentive and clear in the way he communicates. The CBT quickly got me up to speed with the basics, and a more intensive course built more advanced skills for the Direct Access. Ossie made both fun, interesting and with just 2 of us learning for Direct Access every minute of training was highly productive. Ossie was great at making us feel comfortable with the bike and developed our control with simple exercises. He drilled us on the Module 1 test site so we were familiar with it and had confidence for the test. Taking us on all kinds of roads, we gained a detailed understanding of what to look for, how to judge each situation and how to stay safe and in control at all times for Module 2. His wife Tina was a great organiser and fitted the training around my sporadic work as a freelancer. The course is simple - one price includes training, kit hire, bike hire, insurance, DSA fees and refreshments. I genuinely feel like a safe and experienced rider now even though the intensive course was only a few days. I have the skills and the reflexes to go on and learn more from the road and enjoy the independence that biking gives a rider!

What can I say? A superb company providing rider training at the highest level. Ossie, Rob and Fluff were patient, relaxed and funny. Although I had booked a CBT course with the amazing Tina it was not really my aim. I have never been on a bike and I wanted to see if it was something I wanted to do and get a full license. I chose to learn on the 125 geared and as mentioned by a previous reviewer (Hi Rob) I was not exactly taking to it. Rob and Ossie took me to the side and suggested that it may be prudent to spend more time on skills training rather than hitting the road. This was music to my ears! I was given plenty of one to one instruction by Ossie and by the end of the day I felt more confident with gear changes, clutch control etc. If you chose to book your CBT with these guys you will be confident in the fact that they don’t just tick boxes and pass everyone. You must get up to the required standard before being let out on the road. This is for your safety and the safety of other road users. I will be retaking my CBT and going forward with the DAS. I got both my CBT and my license at A2Z school and I recommend it to my friends. Ossie, who taught me how to ride, gave me lots of good advice and made sure I passed the test (on the second attempt but when I failed the first time it was completely my fault). Now when I ride around London, I still hear Ossie's voice in my head: "Every junction tells you something... No unnecessary lifesavers..." :)

I did my CBT here. Even though it was a freezing January 8AM Saturday start, it was a lot of fun. Great instructors and team, very helpful throughout the entire day. I learnt a lot, got back on a bike for the first time in years, and now have my CBT! There is many rider schools out there and choosing right one isn't that easy. I have decided to go with A2Z as they had best reviews online. Now I will happily add another 5star rating. Professional, straight to the point, no bulls**t, fun, friendly, patient, I could go on forever. And I passed first time with 2 minors. Tina is very helpful with booking and information, Ossie must be the best instructor I've come across in my life, and the instructors I met on CBT are top quality as well. What else do you want ? :) I have done both CBT and (3 months later) DAS with them. Both courses are pretty much tailored to your needs and requirements (for example - being car driver for over 8 years I picked up some bad habits - as courses passed, I was getting them sorted one by one) CBT was good fun and VERY good preparation to get me going, worth every penny (great instructors, quality motorbikes). 5 days DAS was even better. In fun and professional way, step by step I learned how to handle big bike, how to respect and tame it's power. From slow speeds to national speed limits, all repeated practice made me feel confident, pass DAS without a problem. I would say that A2Z is an example how motorcycle school should look like and motorcycle training should be conducted. Whoever you are and whatever your needs are - look no further, because this is THE BEST school you can find around. They are initially slightly more expensive than competition, but worth every penny and - if you think about it - all it takes to fail once with other school and you already pumping more money into it. I can't thank or recommend Ossie and Tina enough. Following an accident on my 125 I was absolutely petrified of getting back on the bike, but really wanted to get over that. They gave great advise, got me down to the yard to chat, back sitting on a bike and eventually I passed my "big bike" test with flying colours. I was looking for a small, family-run MCT school with great reviews. I found A2Z on Google Maps and saw their 100% positive reviews. Honestly, I don't think I could've found a better family-run school for my training. Tina is a pleasure to talk with over the phone. She's well organised, friendly and we instantly got on well both having Irish families. She recommended I come to Islington and meet Ossie and have a quick assessment of my skills to see which course would best suit me. Ossie is ex-military so he's very meticulous and professional but not at all intimidating. He's patient, up for a laugh and won't rush you through each stage of the learning process until you're comfortable with what you're doing. My course was with 1 other student. 2 days in Islington practising the fundamentals of bike control on quiet, safe roads. 1 day up in Enfield learning the main roads where we would be doing our Mod 2. 1 morning renting the actual Enfield Test Centre to practise the Mod 1. and 1 morning of doing the Mod 1 test then straight away going out and doing the Mod 2 test. Unfortunately my partner student failed his Mod 1 so he lost the fees for the Mod 2. That is the slight risk of doing both tests on the same day. The reward for doing both tests on the same day though is not dragging it out over two days stressing you out, and also if you pass both you're done in one morning and ready to go out riding on a full license by lunch! :) I had a great time learning with Ossie. He's a lovely fella. We joked quite a bit which relaxes you and eases any nerves you might have. The bikes were in very good condition and totally neutral and easy to ride. Yamaha XJ6n. If I had to nitpick for a negative comment. I would admit I was disappointed that on the 4th day of training. (the renting of the Mod 1 Test Centre) we barely had a morning's worth of practise. (I do think we had plenty of Mod 1 training within that time). But we were done by 11:30am. And I would've preferred to have spent some more hours after that practising the Mod 2 route roads some more. Like I said, that really was the only negative I could find in an otherwise faultless training experience. And I passed with ease, so it didn't matter anyways. I would highly recommend A2Z rider training. It was a pleasure to learn with them. Tina & Ossie are fantastic and I wish them all the best!

I did my CBT (twice) with A2Z and pootled around on a 125 for a couple of years. Then this year decided to do the 5-day DAS and move up to something a bit bigger. Ossie, Tina and the rest of the team were fantastic and made learning fun and (most importantly) safe. The DAS was a great experience. All riding after the initial slow riding is done on the roads around the Enfield test centre, which means that come Mod 2 day I was riding roads I knew. There is also an opportunity to practice Mod 1 on the test site itself, which is really helpful. After a silly mistake on my first Mod 1, Ossie really helped me to regain confidence and get through the subsequent Mod 1 and 2 on the same day. I chose to learn to ride a motorcycle with A2Z because they are the only riding school that I could find consistently good feedback on, and I wasn't disappointed! I have done my CBT and my Direct Access Scheme with A2Z and passed everything first time thanks to their tuition, so now I'm eligible to ride any motorcycle I want which is an amazing feeling. A2Z is a family run business. I was taught by brothers Ossie (for the Direct Access Scheme) and Gen (CBT and gear familiarisation), and everything was expertly organised by Ossie's wife Tina. You get a very personal service, unlike the big driving schools like I did my car test with years ago. This is a definite bonus because it's obvious they want you to do well and do everything they can to give you the best chance. Ossie's method for passing the DAS is simple and effective but appears to be virtually unique. You book in to do both your Module 1 (manoeuvers) and Module 2 (road riding) tests on the same day (which is unusual - most people take the tests a few days apart) and he trains you for both tests at the same time over the course of 4 days beforehand. This meant I spent plenty of time bonding with the bike so when it came to manoeuvers like slalom, figure 8, etc. it was a relative breeze. I gather that most riding schools train you only for an afternoon before throwing you in to the Module 1 test, which means you've had minimal time on the bike. I'd also done lots of research on models of motorcycles so I was pleased to see we were using up to date Yamaha XJ6s for the DAS which have a reputation for being excellent learner bikes. All I can say is these guys (and gal) took me from never having sat on a bike to getting a full licence within a matter of weeks. I'm not normally moved to write reviews but A2Z made a nerve wracking process as smooth as possible and got the result I wanted, so I had to share my experience.

From the day you initially book your CBT until the day you decide to complete your full license, you can rest assured that A2Z riders will be with you for the journey. I was apprehensive at first. You see, I love motorcycles but I also had a slight fear of them. So I called up A2Z Riders and spoke to the lovely Tina. She explained the whole process which put my mind at ease. CBT booked, I arrived on the day and completed a series of onsite skills followed by an on road ride. By then, the bug had truly bitten and I opted to book my Direct Access Coarse for an unrestricted license. Once again, Tina talked me through the whole process and explained that I would be completing my course with Ossie. So the course dates arrive and I meet Ossie for the first time. He’s a short chap (he'll hate me for saying that, sorry Ossie! ) but super friendly and extremely good at what he does. I believe it’s a combination of those these two things that result in Ossies high pass rates. He's so easy to get along with that it doesn't ever feel uncomfortable. Well to cut a long story short, A2Z riders comes very highly recommended. I passed both modules 1 and 2 first time. Ossie and Tina, both went out of their way to make the experience extremely enjoyable. As I mentioned earlier, you go through a journey together to get "you" the skills you need to ride safely. If you’re still not sure, my advice is pickup that phone and have a chat with them. Ossie, Tina and the rest of the crew at A2Z Riders, it’s been a great experience from start to finish. Hopefully catch you guys out for a ride sometime! Oh and Ossie, thanks for all those coffees you bought me. Worked a treat!

I renewed my CBT with A2Z almost a year ago then went on to do DAS with a different school - unfortunately had a bad experience and failed my Mod 1. Their methods were awful and I did not continue. After building my confidence back up over the year on my faithful scooter with L plates > I went with A2Z for a 4-day DAS course... and what a difference! All my apprehension and nervousness, fear of making mistakes and being told off, were all wiped away. Ossie took me through everything like I was new student, explained what to be aware of and what to know without the demoralising process of waiting for me to make the mistakes on the road and correct me then; he just got it all out of the way. Each day made me more confident, no question was ever a stupid question, no bad habits couldn't be fixed and no mistakes couldn't be corrected for the next time. He armed me with everything I needed to know and instilled a lot of good methods. I went on to do both tests on Tuesday 28 May and was done by 10.30am ...PASSED! So excited to be picking up my Kawasaki Versys 650 today!! Thank you Ossie and Tina - a true family run and close knit friendly neighbourhood business.
