Took the knife skills course last week. Instructor was great at teaching techniques and food was varied. Highly recommended for all!

After taking an excellent sourdough baking course at the Cookery School over the summer, I returned yesterday for their fish and shellfish course, which I enjoyed even more. Over the course of four hours we learned in three teams how to make nine different dishes from scratch (including how to clean, prepare, filet, etc. various seafood), with each team then making three of the receipes and observing the other two teams cooking the other six.
The instructor John was outstanding, and at the end of the course we spent an hour eating everything we had prepared (plus a meringue dessert John had prepared using the egg whites left over from our hollandaise sauce). Hands-down the best cooking course I've ever had the chance to attend.

Totally recommend Cookery School Little Portland Street, London - we had a fabulous day learning how to make many different styles of Dim Sum (and eating a LOT of Dim Sum) - good to see the excellent quality of the ingredients, the sustainable management of any waste, and good ventilation and health and safety throughout. It was fun and informative, Stefan was an excellent teacher and host - we will come again and try other classes soon.

Organised an incredible corporate team building event at Rosalind's cooking school. So much detail went into the evening and Rosalind was incredible throughout the planning and execution of the event. We prepared a delicious meal with aid from all of Rosalind's amazing team including a team competition. The overall evening was a massive success for our company and we would definitely come again.

My husband and I went on the Knives Skills course. We had a great social time and ate good food at the end of the session. The staff were lovely. The only criticism we have is that it was not really a knives skills course but a cookery demonstration where you cut up some veg for the meal. At the start it was just one carrot and the odd vegetable. We were expecting to be taught how to cut, with somebody training us by watching us and showing us what to do and how to do it. Instead, the chef does a demo at the front of the class and then we are give only a few vegetables to cut which is to the meal. We were not checked on our technique and there wan't that much cutting of food. I do more for cooking my family meal at home. We came out of the course having enjoyed it but none the better in our knives skills so we were disappointed about this.

Today, my husband and I completed The Healthy Eating Course as his Fathers Day surprise. It was sensational. I feel so inspired and we have learned so much. Linda is an amazing and experienced chef and a great teacher with oodles of patience and know-how. Between 11 of us we created 13 dishes and they were all delicious. I feel confident about Pollock - who knew! I feel differently about fennel and I can create chopped market salad that will make you want to come back for more. I have two go-to fantastic soups, namely a Herby Tomato that tastes really great and a Pistou soup that is a total winner. All in all, we are absolutely delighted and naturally husband will do all the cooking for a month, just out of complete gratitude. Our thanks to everyone involved. You are a wonderful team. Plus I have come home and ordered recycled foil and will use the last of my cling film as I have also learned more about how to cook more sustainably by the example you have set. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

I just finished up a sourdough bread making class with Dan Lepard and his partner, David. Both of them together work so well to make, what is a very long day, pass ever so quickly. They are fun, informative and so helpful. We made three breads: sourdough (of course), focaccia and an olive and dill loaf. Dan guides you through how to make each type of bread ... which is shockingly easy. (No kneading needed!) once you make all the breads you sit down with the class and enjoy some of the breads which had just been made, along with some other delights that the previous class cooked. After that there is still baking time needed for the remainder of the breads and Dan fills the time by allowing you to pick his brain about all things food. We picked up some incredibly helpful tips n tricks along the way. I would 100% recommend this class to novice and seasoned chefs alike. There is something for everyone to learn (and eat!!) they even send you home with a bag full of treats.. dreamy!

I bought my mum for her 60th birthday present 'The Best of Jewish Cooking' class. It was the schools second day of reopening since lockdown and I must say, the class was exceptional and we had a great experience. Rosalind and her team did a great job teaching the class to the highest of standards. We learnt everything from making traditional Chicken Soup, Latkas, Kneidlach (Matzo Balls), etc. This was a great present for mum and I highly recommend this course. I am looking forward to booking another class with them. Thank you.

We did the Fantastic Fish course and loved it. Would highly recommend. They take all covid precautions very seriously and it felt very safe. Great tuition, great recipes and nice facilities. Will hopefully be coming back for more courses soon 👍

I had the most amazing time today learning about sourdough bread with Dan Lepard and his partner David. Despite the fact that I trained as a chef, making bread has always 'scared' me a little but Dan's course has given me the confidence that making good bread is not rocket science but more trial and error (and persistence). The course has given me a reniewed confidence and knowledge to make 3 different types of bread and to use my own creativity with the doughs that we learned to make.
We were served an amazing lunch with home made pates, cheeses, chutney, salad and rosemary focaccia which Dan made during the course.
In the afternoon, tea and coffee were served with home-made white and dark chocolate truffels.
I would seriously recommend this course to anyone, beginner or advanced as the depth of knowledge which Dan and David have about bread making is second to none.

In October 16 I attended a Sauces course which was excellent. It was packed with so many sauces literally you could make at least 9 dishes with them all. Really great value for money. I really learnt how to improve and perfect a range of sauces. We all sat down for a feast after. It was a lovely friendly inclusive atmosphere. I also did the Pastry course the week before my sauce course on a Sunday which was so good, making outstanding puff pastry, choux and shortcrust which I used to make cornish pasties. Again lots to try at the end as quiche, apple pie, palmiers, cheese straws that really excited you. Sunday was a great relaxing day to do the class. I will be returning to to try the Cakes class. The teaching and support staff were great. I highly recommend the place.

I did the Perfect Cupcakes course and had a wonderful morning here. It's a excellent venue: just 2 minutes from Oxford Circus tube, in a large and modern kitchen space. There's a camera over the chef's demo station so you can watch on the screen if you can't see closely and the chef circulates to help all too.

I took a boutique cake decorating class with Victoria Glass at Cookery School in order to prepare for making my cousin's wedding cake (!) It was a fantastic session packed with so much learning and lots of tips that I would be lost without. A delicious lunch was served and we all left with a fully decorated two tier cake!

I attended the most fantastic fish & shellfish class. The chefs were great....I will never be afraid of cooking fish again! I can't wait to do the level 2 class next month. Brilliant location, 2 mins from Oxford Circus.

Even though the course has "Absolute Beginners" in the title, I wasn't sure I would qualify.
However, within minutes of the first evening, I knew that it was a good choice.
I can't imagine a better introduction to cooking: the instructors and assistants were highly capable, patient and humorous; and I was fortunate to have enjoyable fellow students.
I'll now need to practise, but I wouldn't be surprised back at the school someday, for the next level.

I learned so much at cookery school! It was an inspiring and fun day, learning all about different aspects of chocolate making and production. The staff are highly professional, knowledgeable and fun to be around. There's great emphasis on the quality of ingredients and they try to source as locally and as sustainably as possible, which is really important to me.

My second visit. This time for meat and poultry. Reunited with John who did the fish and shellfish one for me before.
Again excellent. Whole new set of anecdotes and new techniques. Very informative and entertaining. Great logistics too thanks to him and Aga.
I thoroughly recommend it.
