Best academy ever. My life completely changed after I started training there. All the professors with an A* attitude all the time. Great environment, even the students have a great vibe. It becomes like a second home to many of us and you will only understand it once you become a member/student yourself. Words cannot explain how it feels to be there learning Jiu-Jitsu and at the same time becoming a better person with great people around to share this experience with you.
If you want to change your life for the better, give yourself a try. The first lesson is free and I promise you , you won’t regret it !

In less than 10 months at Gracie Barra Fulham I achieved: 1- A huge loving family 2- self confidence, 3- friends whom after choking you, they give you plenty of hugs, 4- courage to go to compete and come back with a gold medal, 5- strength and fitness.
And I lost something as well, I lost 10 kg.
I am so grateful to GB for welcoming my deftness and encourage me and my son to get better each and everyday.
I love my new family!!!

Signing up to this BJJ gym has changed my life forever. Starting off with the amazing atmosphere. Every single person in that gym is friendly and polite. Everyone respects each other and makes sure no one is left behind; meaning if someone doesn't understand a move, they point out mistakes and make sure that in the end the person does.
Secondly, the amazing professors. Each teacher has a different style and approach of teaching BJJ. Some are more technical being able to explain in immense detail concepts and moves. Others are more practical and are able to perfectly demonstrate. The professors are very patient with the students and also make sure that everyone understands what they are doing. They do this by walking around and observing each pair of students as they drill the given move. Any question related to BJJ can be answered by any of the professors for top quality responses.
Thirdly, safety. The staff members make sure that everyone is training responsibly, but at the same time being pushed to their limits. This is a hard task to do, yet GB Fulham seems to have that mastered. On the rare occasions that incidents happen, the staff members are always prepared to act with the most reasonable solution to combat the problem. One time I got a somewhat severe burn on my foot and I asked one of the professors if there are any plasters. Not only did he bring me tape he bandaged my injury for me.
Lastly, the approach towards new students. Professors make sure whenever they can that new students are paired up with a higher belt student. This is in order to make sure the most efficient progression of the students. You will rarely see two 0-3 striped white belts being in a pair when there are higher belts available to ensure the most rapid progression! (talking based on personal experience)

This Jiu-Jitsu Academy is all about family. The inclusive atmosphere brings people of all ages and from every walk of life into the Gracie Barra family. Core values of respect, perseverence and learning about yourself underpin the professional approach of the coaches and professors. And you learn to fight (hard)! Couldn’t recommend it any more highly! My kids love it and my wife is more confident and can pin me down!

More then just a jiu jitsu club, the atmosphere and the people that work and train there make it a family unit more so then a regular BJJ club. Coupled with real world class professors such as Lucio "Lagarto" Rodrigues amongst others and all the coaching staff, i have a smile on my face every time im on my way to the club, throughout class and after. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This academy is an incredible place to learn BJJ and be part of. A welcoming gym, the training is world class, and attention to every member from the professors and coaches is focussed and personal. You can train with peers, and regional and world champions all in the same session. I whole heartedly recommend everyone to come and try for themselves. GB Fulham is a must for anyone wanting to follow the Gracie Barra way.

I had never stepped into a gym in my life before I went to GB Fulham. Now, I'm a BJJ addict and I still don't know what hit me! Well; I guess I do. Everyone there is super friendly and make you feel you're part of the GB family. The teachers are great and make the learning so easy and fun. I can't recommend it highly enough, so if you're having doubts about which sport to take up or which BJJ gym to join, just pop in and you'll be amazed.

I have done classes at 2 other clubs in London, while they were both good and I couldn’t say anything bad about them, Gracie Barre in Fulham is on another level.
You get a lot out of the classes and the professors all pay attention to detail of each student, going around giving pointers on how to improve or correct techniques and letting you know when get it right. The professers all create a positive environment, explaining everything from why we do the basic drills at the start of a session to the use of each move and variations of the moves.
This is the place if you want to train authentic BJJ, it is an inspiring place thanks to professor Rodrigues and his team.
