Am really enjoying learning Spanish with Hackney Spanish and have made great progress since I started in early 2020 in the beginners class and am now upper intermediate. I have experienced both Julio and Fernando as teachers and they are equally great. It is a mixture of grammar and conversation and works well. I started off in face to face classes which then moved online to accommodate lockdown but this worked well and I felt part of an online Spanish learning community. But also looking forward to being back in a real classroom soon! I would highly recommend Hackney Spanish.

I would highly recommend Hackney Spanish! The classes are very easy going and fun and Fernando has been a great teacher. You get to learn a lot in a very relaxed atmosphere. The class is something I look forward to every week and will definitely continue!

Great place to begin learning Spanish! We have a good mix of different writing, listening and grammar exercises and Fernando explains it all clearly, with a nice bit of humor on the side. Highly recommend

I have been taking Spanish classes online since the beginning of the pandemonium and I'm absolutely thankful to have chosen this school. I have tried so many times before, with language apps, university courses, and other personal tutors, and it's always been one frustration after the other. Fernando, my tutor, is incredibly experienced, patient, and cultured. His classes are well-structured and fun. I always know what I'm doing, what I'll do next, what I've done. In just over a year I went from almost a complete beginner to someone able to have a social conversations with natives, without being all nervous. I'm starting to read literature now. It's been an amazing journey so far and there's still a lot to learn. Highly recommended.
