B. M.My twin sons have recently joined this central London school and are thoroughly enjoying it. They are much more engaged and motivated to learn than at their previous British school. They find the teachers supportive, the curriculum challenging and are happy about the friendly atmosphere, where all the children know each other and seem to get along extremely well.
J. L.My daughter is thriving at Halcyon, excellent use of tech for education, but even more importantly, the teachers are superb as is the Director of the school. Halcyon "walks the talk"- committed to igniting the spark to learn from within each student - it sure has in mine! As the mum of a girl in her middle school years, I'm also appreciative of the social culture Halcyon promotes in a myriad of ways. This school's got it right, committed excellence in education and its core values while truly open to innovation.
A. L.My daughter is in her first year at Halcyon after being at other IB schools in UK and abroad. The progressive way of teaching is really bringing out her potential and she is now enjoying school which is perfect :-)
I find the teaching format open and inclusive.. more like a Scandinavian or good US style. I believe Halcyon will produce young adults very well prepared for the way of the modern, globalised way of the world. As a Brit, I am hopeful Halcyon will bring next generation leaders (in all fields) far more diverse and open to those churned out of the more traditional stuffy British schools.

S. A.Innovative, forward-thinking school with dedicated staff, engaged students, and a welcoming community. I believe they launched in 2013. This school is growing, albeit carefully and wisely!
Some space restrictions in the building, but they take advantage of their location and connect locally (Seymour Leisure Centre, for example).
The lunches are included in the school fees tuition and the meals are all vegetarian.
They are using technology in exciting ways; all students have ipads or macbooks/laptops, and the school uses mostly digital textbooks and technology learning platforms.
The school follows the highly regarded IB program. I would highly recommend this school!
B. B.Halcyon is a truly welcoming MYB-IB co-ed school in central London. Here our child 'learns and applies' (more than studying for tests!) and this is the essence of the IB education we chose for him. The fact that they are innovative and tech advanced is a natural consequence of their wish to engage with the kids of today!
P. S.I recently spent a few days working at this school as a temp. I couldn't believe how lovely and polite the kids are – gone are the days of “grumpy teenagers”! The school has a very happy and friendly vibe and I hope I get the chance to work there again as it was a genuinely enjoyable experience.
