I have been studying Italian with Happy languages for nearly two years and their courses are fantastic! I really enjoy the lessons, they make a wealth of resources available on their website and the teachers are very helpful. Their courses prepared me very well to present the B1 Cittadinanza exam, which I recently did and passed successfully.

I have taken two italian evening courses so far and enjoyed them both greatly (I am now waiting for the start of the third one)! I would like to specifically praise Eleonora, our teacher! She was wonderful at explaining all the new concepts, while leading very engaging and fun lessons. Eleonora is able to explain the rules in a clear way and always goes an extra mile for her students. I will highly recommend her as a teacher for both total beginners and more advanced students as well. The school itself has also been great and very accommodating. All in all, wonderful experience and I can definitely see a great progress in my Italian!

2 years ago I decided to re-start my journey of learning Italian. I initially started my lessons face-to-face with Eleonora at the start of 2020 and continued online throughout the pandemic. Eleonora quickly grasped my capabilities and adapted our lessons effectively to my needs. Now 2 years later I have progressed tremendously and Eleonora has been a nothing short of amazing. She has always been attentive, supportive and understanding. I would highly recommend her and the other services from Happy Languages.

Two years ago I decided to learn Italian, not least because my wife is Italian. I loved the sound of the language, but I didn’t know more than ten words of it. I was recommended to try Happy Languages, which quickly set me up with a tutor. I had weekly sessions with her, initially face-to-face in London but then (in lockdown) on Skype to her in Tuscany. She was an excellent teacher, always encouraging me but quite willing to point out my many shortcomings. I wanted to take the B1 exam, for citizenship, and was relieved to discover that Happy Languages handled all the formalities for that. As the exam date got closer, I heard the bad news: instead of the conventional mixture of reading, writing and comprehension, the exam was going to be only conversational (my weak point). My tutor wasn’t despondent. She quickly helped me to raise my game, and when the results came through, I had passed. Thank you, Happy Languages. Fantastic classes! Learning Spanish with Clara was fun, challenging and great value. I've done two Italian courses with Happy Languages and just signed up for my third. In light of COVID-19, Happy Languages have temporarily transferred to offering online classes. Obviously both teachers and students would prefer to be classroom based but I think they've done this transition well. The teaching is of a high quality and classes are small enough that you get to know the other students. I also find the materials to be engaging and the courses are very reasonably priced considering what you get.

I followed a beginners Italian course, delivered online by Eleonora. It was good value, practical and friendly. We made a lot of progress for a 10 week course. Eleonora was extremely diligent and made it easy for us to learn. When we didn't understand something during the lesson she followed up with additional materials afterwards. The homework burden was about right. One of the best language courses i've followed. I will be back for more!

Happy languages is a great school, led by a fantastic team of educators. I had the chance of doing the Italian Citizenship preparation course with them and undertook the Siena's University exam in 2020. The classes and materials were really well prepared and focused, the school provides you with all the support to subscribe and prepare for the exam and there are online zoom sessions organised with students and teachers to practice together. Despite the pandemic, I was kept informed at all times of date changes, exam instructions, results and certificate availability. I passed the exam 1st time and highly recommend their programme to anyone going through the same process!

My best experience learning languages in London! Happy Languages has a dedicated team and well-designed programme. The class sizes are small so you never feel overwhelmed. If you miss a class, the website contains all the notes so you can easily catch up. I spoke no Italian before and by attending the beginner classes, I am now able to understand and hold conversations. The thing I've enjoyed most is the friendly class atmosphere. Our teacher is excellent and everyone in the class is kind and supportive. I hope to continue learning!

I took the Spanish Beginner 3 course with Happy Languages and had a great experience. Vanessa is an excellent teacher who puts a lot of energy and enthusiasm into making the lessons informative and enjoyable. We had a lovely small group, and every week we did different interactive exercises and were set homework tasks. I feel like I learned a lot on the course and made new friends at the same time. I have just finished the 10 week beginners 1 Spanish course. Our teacher, Vanessa, was really excellent and full of energy. I knew absolutely zero Spanish before I started, but now feel like I have a good basic knowledge and am looking forward to doing beginners 2. The We Work offices are a great place to learn - modern and free coffee! The class sizes are perfect, too. There were usually about 6 people each week, which is enough that you can practice with each other but not so many that you get ignored.

We covered so much and it gave me a firm grasp of the basics needed for a solid foundation in a language I've not had the chance to learn before. The best language school in London. The class sizes are small, so you have a good opportunity to speak and be involved in the class, and the teachers are very supportive. Paolo runs a tight ship here at Happy Languages; I love it! My teacher is very experienced and passionate about Italian language and culture as she studied it for her masters in Italy. The teaching materials are designed to layer each part of grammar together and in each lesson there is time dedicated to practising oral, aural and written Italian. The classes in Aldgate East are in a WeWork office so it’s really lovely to be able to have free refreshments and a nice, relaxing environment while you study. I highly recommend learning Italian with Happy Languages.

Best Italian language school in London. I have been taking Italian lessons with them for over 4 years. They have helped me pass my CILS level B2 for competency in Italian as a foreign language and now helping me with the next level. It is difficult to find another school which has so much energy, willingness, enthusiasm and competency in teaching. If you are interested in learning any of the languages taught at this school, I seriously recommend them!

In terms of the lesson fees, I think it is reasonable but high quality. The location (Aldgate East) is also convenient for people who work in City of London because there aren't many good schools in the East London area.

I took Italian A1.3 here because I want to take the CILS exam. The class is really nice, teacher is very friendly. What I like the most is that the course is well-structured and the way they taught grammar is very clear, which is what I am looking for. The only shortcoming is that the class only last for one and a half hour and normally we don't have much time to practice speaking. However, as far as I know, Happy Language provided conversation classes as well so I think it really depends on what you're looking for. Anyway, I definitely recommend this language school. :)

I did an intermediate level Italian course here, and I found that we were taught in a small group, eg five at a time. The class was well-led by our teacher, meaning that the attention and energy was kept up, and the overall atmosphere is positive - or "happy", as the name says!

I did my DITALS II 'Corso di Orientamento' here. I would strongly recommend it. It takes places on Saturdays. It is very intensive and there is homework between classes but it absolutely worth it. The trainers do their best to give you a method and will guide you through the huge amount of work that is needed in order to prepare for the exam. You will be participating from the start and the atmosphere is peaceful and encouraging. Best decision ever!
