Harris is a phenomenal provider of initial teacher training. The personal care given to trainees is second-to-none from application to graduation. They really do take the time to get to know you and shape an experience to fit your needs.
The provider has forged strong links with the schools it works with to create cohesion between the training and in-school experiences. This allows the trainees’ development to accelerate at a rapid pace.
I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Harris Teacher training is an environment where trainees are supported knowing that there is someone, for example, your tutor and the team to guide you with your query. I have been supported from day one and valued as a trainee. Staff in my training school has been supporting me in my career path. I would recommend the establishment to any aspiring teacher.

I could not recommend to train as a teacher with Harris ITE more. Since the very beginning the whole team has been very supportive, helpful and professional. The one-year programme is meticulously planned to the need of the trainees, so that progress can be monitored and support can be provided accordingly. The tutors are experienced, passionate and enthusiastic. Undoubtedly a pleasant and stimulating environment in which to develop one's teaching practice.

If you are a career changer and looking to get into teaching; I would definitely suggest Harris ITE. With more than 14 years of global experience in IT consulting, when I chose to become a teacher, apparently there were quite a few options. However, interaction with Harris ITE from Day 1 definitely drew me to choose them for the School-Direct program. They are transparent and very cordial. Initial querying to the interview process, or document processing to day-to-day training they are very assertive. They handhold you in every possible stage and with constructive feedback. I was especially very touched when they individually called me to check on my health and wellbeing based on my old medical records. If you truly want to pursue teaching as a career for whatever your motivation is, you definitely need a good environment and nurturing by experienced professionals. Harris ITE and their tutors, their academies and the teaching as well non-teaching staff, mentor, managing mentor and the whole members of faculty produce a coherent, happy environment where you learn, unlearn and relearn to be the best of you as a teacher. Weekly 4 days of on-the-job training and 1 day workshop with their professional networks of various leaders paves your way in different aspects of education. It helps not only to increase the subject and curriculum knowledge, but also it allows to learn how to manage behaviour, include variation in pedagogy to reach every students in the class irrespective of their learning needs. Academically, there is also an extra carrot of having a PGCE awarded at the same time makes it further lucrative. I am 2020-21 trainee and enjoying every bits of it; the ride is definitely not easy but Harris ITE are always alleviating every bumps of the rollercoaster into a joyful ride. Definitely recommending.

This teacher training programme has built up a reputation for being one of the best in London. I applied upon recommendation from a past trainee (now head of department) and I can't fault anything! The multi-layered support, practical tips and exceptional curriculum have helped me feel confident in delivering lessons as a trainee. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who wants to become a teacher.

Amazing teacher training provider. HITE mentor's are very supportive, encouraging, and are always on call to answer any questions and assist with any concerns you may have. I am really enjoying my time with HITE so far and would highly recommend anyone who wants to get into teaching to check out their website.

A mixed experience.
The good
- Teaching from day one, so lots of practical experience
- Great opportunities to get involved at my placement school
- Second placement at a contrasting school was very valuable
The bad
- Training days were at an incredibly slow pace
- Training sessions were often patronising or condescending
- Lots of tockenism
- They have an annoying habit of witholding information

HITE is a highly professional and very supportive training provider. They provide access to excellent resources, opportunities for practice and look after the trainees' interest with dedication.
It is a nurturing and kind environment where I feel valued and supported.
