Small but very nice children's centre. They offer baby massage class for babies under 6 months and cooking class for older babies and toddlers. The massage class has great atmosphere and a nice place to meet other mums and babies. The room is normally clean and has a lot of interesting toys for the little ones.

My son has finished reception at the school and has had a great first year- in particular he has enjoyed the outdoor space and the nature garden; and has had opportunities to bring his joy of nature into the classroom. The school is friendly and open to parental involvement along with staff who are accessible to parents.

Our son has been studiying at Heathbrook for 1 year now, and we are really happy and impressed by the teachers and staff. Their level of commitment and caring is exceptional. We also find that the academic program is rigorous and really like the emphasis that is placed on treating others fairly, equaly and respectfully. A wonderful place.

My child's happiness and success was at the top of my wish list when choosing a school and I am as pleased as I am relieved that I chose Heathbrook. It is a wonderful school with a really dynamic and conscious team of people running it. I have a child in year 4 who loves to go to school and is upset when she is too ill to go! She loves every class teacher she has ever had and even enjoys the school lunches! And when you think of it as really an inner city school that serves a richly diverse population, creating such a warm and genial community is a magnificent achievement. I know children who go to fee-paying schools who don't shine the way my daughter does. Academically, although the classes are mixed ability, the teachers pay attention to stretching the achievers too. I can't recommend it enough.

My son attends Heathbrook (he's now in Year 3) and he loves it. His learning has progressed very well in the time he has been there. The atmosphere around the school is very convivial - children from across all years play together in the park after school - I have found that the elder kids not only know those younger than them by name, but also show respect to, and support them. I think this says a lot about the kind of school Heathbrook is. The headmaster is very open to parent input and makes sure the building is a welcoming place. The school also has a very active PTA. I recommend it highly.

Heathbrook is a fantastic place, with a really strong community feel to it. The school focuses really hard on giving the kids opportunities in music, art, sport and learning outside, and has an amazing nature garden where all the pupils spend time doing forest school. However, importantly, it also gets good results in English and Maths and gives the children a really good grounding for their learning. The curriculum is interpreted really creatively and the pupils are challenged and encouraged to achieve their best. If you're considering sending your child here, go and take a look, it is a really lovely school.

I would urge parents to visit Heathbrook and see all the impressive qualities for themselves. My daughter started here in the nursery and is now nearing the end of year 4. She loves school and all the varied after-school activities.

Anyone who is looking to send their child to a school where teachers know your children as individuals, there is a strong sense of community and a body of parents who will be your friends both inside and outside the grounds, should definitely go and take a look at Heathbrook. After two children, and eleven years, we are very sad to be saying goodbye.
Both my children felt valued by the other children and staff (teaching and non-teaching), and were encouraged to 'be the best that they can be' while they were there.
It is a place where differences are celebrated – children from many backgrounds both cultural and economic forge firm friendships that continue long after moving onto secondary school.
Heathbrook is a safe haven where you can be yourself, whether academic, musical, sporty, arty or just like being in nature in the Wildlife Garden.
My daughter is about to enter Year Ten in secondary school and now volunteers at Heathbrook once a week, my Year Seven son is already talking about when he can go back and do the same.

Great school - genuine emphasis on outdoor learning, creativity and nurturing the pupils through their early school years. My children enjoy it and they are learning very well. Great group of teachers developing too.

This is a great school that makes great collaborative individuals. Our son has thrived here, and with some sadness he is now leaving, and we are leaving the area - we will miss this pillar of our community.
In spite of some legacy issues that the head inherited, the school continues to make good steady progress, and the head has his team well managed, working hard for all.
Kids here have confidence. It's always surprising to see the cross year friendships. This isn't a place where each year is isolated. Across learning, sports, and just being around most kids could name most other kids in the school. It's impressive that they learn and share well.
How many permission slips have we signed? This school certainly utilitises what's available in London. It's not just the usual trips to Parliament, it is broader than that and it's about getting deep into the subject. The response to "lets learn about drama", is to go to the Royal Opera house and discuss drama and choreography. When they did a project on Ancient Eqypt, they spent a few days on the bus to and from the professor of Egyptology at the British Museum. The cricket competition at the Kia Oval (which they won), "Dad? who is Alex Stewart? he just tweeted us". So if you want your kid to be kept still and kettled in a classroom, this place might not be for you.
The parental network varies from a few completely detached to a few heavily involved. It is comforting to see that when an interesting issue or opportunity arises, then the parents and teachers always collaborate well, and they continue to produce a good and improving outcome for the kids. School, Parents and the community are all knitted together well. I'm sure that sometimes the parents over zealous support of the school brings some comical embarrassment to the kids. "Laughing over goat curry at the school fair again mum" won't be a surprise to hear. But you will hear Drum n Bass at the school gate from some parents, whilst waving to a member of the House of Lords as they drop their kid off. This place has as much range as society has.
So "Heathbrookish" should be added to our local dictionary... an inclusive, cross cultural, can do, individual who has been nurtured across a spectrum of learning, a context of sports, music, science, field trips, residentials. A Heathbrooker knows how to listen, work hard, have fun, but above all, he knows how to be heard, and will strive to get what he wants. Heathbrook is a great local preparation for life.

We could not be happier with the start that Heathbrook has given to our son. He started in Reception this year, and under the leadership of the current Head, Ben Roberts, the school is really thriving. An amazing find; a school that nurtures the holistic development of every individual child as its core priority, no matter what their starting point. Just been recognised within the Top 100 Performing and Improving Primary Schools 2016 in the whole country which is very impressive and in our experience thoroughly deserved!

A great school that has a massive focus on art, music, sport and outdoor learning in addition to the emphasis on reading, writing and maths these days.

Moved here from America and found the perfect place for my kids to grow and learn in an amazing friendly environment. Thank you Heathbrook!

As a slightly older mummy, beginning school life with my daughter was a little daunting to me, however from the beginning off her half days in nursery to present day (year 3), I have watched my daughter grow into a positive and independant child, I have taken part in group sessions for parents, which has helped me understand how maths and english are now taught ie: number crunching??!!, taking from (not borrowing)??!! and Phonics, sounding out the Alphabet letters rather than just say A, B, C. all new learning and teaching techniques to me and I love phonics! Parents are encouraged to get involved in all aspects of school life and I so do! You could too!
