Comprehensive, well structured, and easy to follow. It helped me understand, exercise and improve lot's of sounds I have studied before but did not get right. It has carefully structured and illustrated explanations and follow up exercises. The illustrations helped me a lot, every other course on pronunciation I tried before did not have them. This course is the best investment you can make to learn how to speak with a modern RP accent. It is absolutely worth it and it has helped me improve my accent a lot, as a French native speaker. First of all, it is very well-structured and thought out. Unlike some other pronunciation courses I have seen, this course is NOT a bunch of long videos offering a variety of random tips. Improve Your Accent is a very logical, detailed and structured course and it is obvious Luke is very knowledgeable and has put a lot of work into it. The course is tailored to your own native language, so that you can directly focus on the sounds that are challenging to you. This helps you notice which sounds you should pay attention to, and focus on them in priority (it might even be issues you hadn’t noticed yet). The course covers everything you need to know to improve your accent significantly, from rhythm to stress rules to different types of consonants and vowel sounds that might not exist in your native language, among others. The progression is logical. Each lesson is divided in several parts which explain how to make the sound, and then practice it (with videos, figures, recordings, IPA transcription of words and sentences, etc.). It is easy to follow along and I quite enjoyed it. Although I have a long experience in language learning (I am a professional translator and have majored in 5 different Asian languages at university), I have never been particularly interested in phonetics, as most of the phonetics classes I’ve had at school were painfully boring or failed to teach students how to make sounds properly. This course is different: it explains clearly (with figures and short videos) how to use your tongue and other body parts to make the sound come out; it is never boring; it teaches the difference between each sound; and it gives a lot of tips on what to work on and how to improve as a whole (not just your pronunciation, but also your mindset and approach to language learning). I finally understood a lot of things that I had never learned or understood at school, and it made pronunciation fun and interesting. My expectations for this course was just to help me speak with more ease, as I tend to feel tired quickly when I have to speak English. It definitively helped with that, but it also helped me beyond English. For example, I developed a better ear and pronunciation for different types of “o” sounds in other languages, and I also understand better how to pronounce other sounds in other languages. As for English, it made me aware of a lot of things I need to work on and it greatly improved my understanding of modern RP pronunciation. I am sure anyone who works on it would definitely benefit from it and start sounding more British. Some sounds have become easier to pronounce, and as a result, I enjoy speaking English much more than before. Consequently, I also love English even more now. I highly recommend this course to everyone.

I have been studing English for many years and I use it every single day for work: accent-wise, however, I always struggled to fill the gap between a good foreign speaker and a native. This course is simply amazing and it's truly bringing my pronunciation to a level I had never been able to reach before: the materials are clear, well organized, brand new in their approach and ultimately very effective. Another point I like a lot is the price, coming as a monthly fee: this means that the ultimate cost of the whole course will grealty depend on your commitment and regular training, which is really fair and boils down to an additional stimulus to go on. I have taken 15 lessons with Luke and will certainly go back for more. Luke's extensive experience lets him easily identify your needs, the mistakes you make and tailor the lessons around those.
