For £3000+ a year in fees, things need to change in the school. I have my utmost respect for Mufti Sahib and his father, who run the school, but my personal experience at the school has been an absolute nightmare. I respect the teachers, so I won't be giving any names, but £200+ spent on textbooks, and they just read through the textbook so quickly within 10 mins, and tell you to work for the remaining 40-50 minutes. And then they set you a years worth of homework, expect it to be done in 24 hours, and then give you a 2 hour detention The teachers have failed us. They do need teach up to the required standards.
The detentions are a joke. Students have after school Madrasah, and they're kept back until 5pm for detention nearly every week. The owner being a Mufti, I would appreciate if you took into consideration the students who need to be in Hifz classes at 5pm, instead of sitting in the school hall, doing absolutely nothing for an hour.
For a Muslim school, that is absolutely no way to discipline the students.
If you ever read this Mufti, please could you look into changing detentions into lines. Get the students to do 100 lines for example. That takes 1 hour anyway, and can be done at home.
Do anything wrong, and you're not allowed to do PE. If the school wants to act like a private school when it comes to PE, and disallow students from doing PE, then you can easily make some other rules of your own.
11 years of age, students are coming from primary school, and into a new environment in LOK. They don't know any different, which is why they don't speak out about the school being to such a low standard. I'd have left the school after a few months in year 7, if I could have my way, but as a 11/12 yr old, you can't have your way.
Better off sending your child to a state school. For many reasons, but if you can't find a good let me tell you now...
Muslim students at Lantern of Knowledge use the computers in ICT to search up soul violating things.
This doesn't happen in state schools. These such sites are blocked, but in LOK, you can access such filth, Astaghfirullah. If you want your child to be protected, send them to a state school, and use your £3000 fee money for Zakat, or for Africa, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan etc. You can pay for hundreds of students' education with £3000

I have been going to this school for 4 years and not once have I been given a detention that lasts until 5 pm. The education is outstanding and i have never been in a situation that I have no pe.
All the teachers are outstanding. I have learned things that my friends in state school havnt even touched yet.
Everything u have said is a lie and you are just taking out yr anger here cus u got detention. That's simply what has happened here

An excellent school with great teachers and students willing to learn. The members of staff try their utmost best in order to allow us students to have an enjoyable time . The school calendar year is filled with a variety of trips and all students try their level best in order to achieve their grades thanks to some very hardworking staff. The head teacher Mufti Imran is excellent headteacher and inshalah will continue to be. Much credit should go to Sir Abdullah who despite all the odds at one time made this school what is regarded as ‘outstanding’

The teachers are too good to be described in words, especially Maths and English.
