Amazing experience at LingoClass. I started Korean Beginner Level 1 and I am very much looking forward to continue with level 2. We progressed quite well and our teacher Yerin is fantastic! She makes learning a new language fun and has good rapport with all her students. I am so glad to have chosen LingoClass. Really great for learning a new language next to a full time job or degree. The lessons are divided in manageable units and do not seem overwhelming. I am recommending it to all my friends!

I just completed Korean Beginner Level 1, the small numbered class gives more individual focus, the lessons are really well structured and interactive and our teacher JiYeon is a true star. I've been able to retain so much about vocabulary and grammar and learned about culture as well (highly recommend the kimbap party!). There's a really good community at lingo class, and I love how these East Asian languages are taught in the same building, it's very open minded! Absolutely one of the best learning experiences in my life. As someone with a phobia of learning foreign languages, I am amazed by how much I enjoyed my lingoclass experience (Korean Beginner Level 1) and how much I learnt. Absolutely the best decision I've made all year. I took the beginner Korean class with Jiyeon Kim, and was truly impressed. The classes are small and structured in a way, where learning feels very engaging and fun- and time flies! No one gets left behind. I feel I know a lot more than when I initially began and am hoping to join the next level as soon as I can to continue my learning journey. I'm generally quite intoverted but I actually really enjoyed the interactive element. They also have nice amneities on site, like tea and coffee. I have wanted to learn Korean for years, and after a friends told me about LingoClass, I signed up immediately. The classes are so interactive and help you learn the overall structure of sentences. I enjoyed that we learned in more of a conversationalist approach. Our teacher, Kate, is by far one of my favourite language teachers I've ever had! She is so supportive, encouraging, and really makes sure to take the time on every lesson to ensure that we all understand the material. I am really impressed at the amount of Korean I have learned in such a small amount of time, yet it remains fun and not overwhelming. I am always looking forward to the next session. Kate is absolutely amazing, and really makes these lessons a pleasure. She is always encouraging and available for help. I completed my Korean Beginner level 1 last week and I almost cannot believe how quickly these six weeks went by! Yuna was so lovely, always helpful and smiling, and she made the whole experience of learning a new language so easy and fun with so many interactive activities that involved everyone. I still can't believe how much we learned in just six weeks! I tried learning Korean by myself for fun last year during lockdown but learning from a native is 100% better. The small group classes are brilliant, it was so much easier as this way Yuna had time to focus on each of us and what we needed help with. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and always there if there was any problem. I cannot wait to start the next level, I really enjoyed the classes!

I've been attending 1 to 1 Korean lessons with LingoClass since last year and I'm glad that I found it! I used to have lessons at Mansion House and the location was fantastic -- very friendly location for people studying/working in Central London. All staffs here were very welcoming and course arrangement was quick when I looked back to the trial lesson I had last year. They were prompt in replying to any concerns I had. In terms of the teaching, my lessons have been moved online since earlier this year and I enjoyed them a lot! The teachers I have had since I joined LingoClass (currently Kate, in the past Sera and Emily) were all very nice, patient and professional in teaching. I really enjoyed my current lessons with Kate as they were very well-planned and organised. Kate explained the complicated grammar thoroughly and helped me to prepare for my coming TOPIK I exam in November. Highly recommend LingoClass for people at any language level.

I have been studying Mandarin Chinese in 1-to-1 classes with Lingo for nearly two years. The two teachers I've had in that time, first Clara and for the last 12 months, Sandra, have been great. Really friendly and always happy to work with my sometimes unpredictable schedule. I'm studying both for personal and professional reasons and they are great at tailoring the content to my interests while still making progress through the HSK structure. I am one week from completing my 6-week Japanese Beginner Level 1 course, and can say that I am glad that I signed up to this course with LingoClass. One of the aspects that made me want to sign up with LingoClass was the offer of flexibility in the way you wish to attend the course (either in person or online). I also liked the added flexibility of when the courses are run, there were different session slots that you could choose from either during weekdays or on Saturdays. As a complete beginner to Japanese, I really liked how this course was structured and run, it had the right balance between fun, engaging and educational, without been overwhelming. Our teacher, Mami, was always very welcoming, resourceful, supportive, patient and professional. I enjoyed Mami's lessons because they were always fun, interactive and very educational. I also liked the time spent in ensuring that we learned Hiragana and that we were tested on our previous lessons at the start of the new lesson weekly. I also liked how Mami ensured that all students were actively engaging in the lesson (regardless of them been 'online' or 'in-class' students) and she was always attentive in ensuring that students' questions were answered and that they fully understood the new contents learned every week. All in all, I have enjoyed this course and I'm looking forwards to starting Level 2 of Japanese Beginners course. :)

I've been doing Korean group classes with LingoClass for almost 4 months now, both in person and online. I completed Korean Beginner Level 2, I've just finished Beginner Level 3 and in 2 weeks I am starting Upper Beginner Level 1. LingoClass is an absolutely fantastic company, my teacher Yerin Lee is brilliant. She makes our lessons very interesting and interactive and explains grammar concepts very well, I am learning so much from her! If you want to learn an Asian language I strongly recommend LingoClass. My Beginner Level 2 group lessons switched to online group lessons halfway through due to COVID-19 lockdown but it was a very seamless transition, the online lessons are just as engaging and effective as the in person lessons so I had no hesitation in signing up for the next Korean course this week. Thank you LingoClass (especially Yerin!) for helping me learn Korean!

I joined LingoClass after having unsuccessfully tried to teach myself Korean via a language app. While I did learn a brilliant amount of vocabulary (I can now write “the dog sings in the library” in Korean) the app failed to explain grammar rules or teach pronunciations. Looking for an alternative, I stumbled across LingoClass and booked a trial lesson. I was more than just happy! Kate is really brilliant, has a wonderful energy and explains things in an easily comprehensible way. Furthermore, conversation is key in her classes and with the small class sizes—I really get to talk a lot. I like the homely atmosphere… it feels more like meeting friends than going to school. Everyone here is a welcoming ball of energy. I can only recommend it to anyone playing with the idea to pick up another language.

Languages in "easier" bite-size chunks! Having had a few weeks of classes, I feel that I can give a more holistic picture. I have tried different classes to find the one that suits. Mandarin class - 121 I wanted to find a teacher to help me with improving my conversational skills at specifically my work. Perhaps at some point, I might go back to learning the basics about buying a ticket for a train to Beijing or ordering some food. By having a specific goal on what I want to achieve, it gives me the motivation to learn. Sophie Kwok is my Laoshi (teacher) and she is absolutely brilliant. She has an excellent command of both Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese (and of course English), which is really handy when I could end up asking how to get the right translation for putting an idea across to my clients. She is so patient and she picks up on every word I say, so she can correct me immediately. Although I didn't think I was going to worry about writing originally, she has somehow brought that into the mix, so that I can appreciate the difference between speaking and writing structures. It also helps that she isn't the stereotypical "stern teacher" that you might expect from seeing what Oriental teachers are well known for! Japanese class - Group I grew up with a lot of manga cartoons. Although they were all dubbed, I really love the Japanese culture. Needless to say, I love the food too; so after another recent visit to Japan, I decided that I would give it a go and learn the "lingo". I had a trial lesson with Natsu Owada, who was really energetic and friendly. The lesson had a mixture of vocabulary, grammar, culture as well as practical things...including origami (which I think I really qualify to get a belt in.) You get a lot of opportunities to practise the sentences with your classmates to help with the learning experience. If you are looking for a fun class, look no further. Japanese class - 121 Absolutely no fault to others, but i felt that I needed a more focused approach. I managed to get Yuki Hoshi to teach me as a private Sensei. Like the other teachers, she is very knowledgeable. Each week she helps me to learn various elements of the language by splitting up the class to a few minutes of "Japanese letters" (but i would probably call characters;) then words and finally phrases. She will interject with some cultural references (which are fascinating). Yuki also shares a passion for manga and food, so she often add some of the manga characters that I know into my learning material. It's surprising how it keeps my mind linking to the learning material. Conclusion As well as having met these amazing teachers, I have to give a special thanks to Claire Wang who created and managed all this. She ensured the class environment is relaxed and conducive to learning. From answering queries, to booking classes, she has made everything so easy! (OK, I have to admit, the actual revising of the words still takes a great deal of effort on my part.) If only learning a language at school was as fun, then I might have done a lot better. For anyone who either wants to try something new or to improve on your language skills, try it right here! Keep at it! 加油！がんば!
