LCS has clearly focused on providing a comprehensive and fully loaded study covering all aspects of delivering a successful Personal Styling business. I was part of the Foundations of Fashion Styling course for three months and It really prepared me to step out into the world and follow my passion. The London College of Style is a fantastic place to learn about what sort of creative you want to be. I have been able to explore my fashion styling abilities and learning the magic behind how important personal styling is. You are treated like an adult by most tutors which is an important way to feel when studying. I have been excited and looking forward to projects I have and even the work I have to do outside of class. I do wish however, that we had more class time as I felt that the schedule was sometimes not as compact as I thought.

LCS helped with providing so much industry experience from the beginning which is a very important thing in this field, so I am really glad for that. London College of Style is a truly amazing place to learn about all aspects of fashion and styling, from makeup to photography to fashion styling, social media and blogging and so much more. I studied Personal and Fashion Styling. It’s a very practical course where you have lectures but also go out and do apply what you have learnt. I was always excited for the next protect and was always really happy with them. The tutors put a lot of thought into every shoot and always have an amazing team and location for us. We get so much support in how to be successful in the industry including working opportunities where we can go out and work with established stylists and I even worked backstage of fashion week! I graduated from the London College of Style with a Diploma in Fashion and Personal Styling. I arrived not knowing what to do in fashion, just that I wanted to be in the industry. The courses were very hands on, and they were not afraid to let us have a swim in the deep end to push ourselves. In March I finished Advanced Fashion Styling course. It was absolutely a great experience for me! Before I had a zero background in fashion field, so taking this course was a kind of challenge for me, but Vaanita and Dan were very supportive and helpful enough. What I really like in this college is that lecturers encourage their students by pushing them to believe in their talent. They provide different working opportunities like Fashion Week, TV shows, fashion fests, assisting shoots etc. which give you an idea of what Fashion industry is and how everything works. I completed Fashion & Personal Styling foundation course in November 2018 and Advanced Fashion Styling in this March. During those 6 months I had a chance to attend two London Fashion weeks in Sep'18 and Feb'19, Julien Macdonald Fashion show, the "Bachelor" tv show, two press days, Zeynep Kaplan fashion show, X factor and many many others. Overall I had about 10 photoshoots, some of them were even published by respectful magazines. Thus, I made a stunning portfolio and got a invaluable experience which will help me in my future career! I'd definitely recommend this college for not only fashion kinds like me but also for people who just love fashion and who want to do some creative work! xx

I completed the Fashion Photography Foundation course, which has given me a lot of experience and skills for the industry. The course covers a wide range of photography, (commercial, journalism, etc) not just fashion, which is very beneficial. Taught us about developing our personal styles and how we can apply this to our work in a different field and in work for others. The lessons are a mixture of lectures and active/hands on teaching, which gave good balance. Our lecturer, Kenneth Lams, was very good at teaching us how to start off and develop in the industry, has a very down to earth approach to teaching and is easily approachable which I appreciated a lot. We had a very small class which meant we were all individually supported and seen to with any queries etc. Only thing that I wish was improved was the overall course organisation, and some of the time management. Other than that, I've had a great time !

Totally amazed by London College of Styles high standard and how they provide you as a student with industry related jobs from the first week. I had the chance to work for London Fashion Week and meet so much talented people that I think I never would have meet if it wasn´t through the college. As a mature student going back to college, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed my time at LCS and learnt so much in a short space of time. I took the foundation diploma in fashion and personal styling as a Mum looking to go back to work, personal styling is something I can do based around school hours. I was pleasantly surprised to be introduced to so many aspects of the fashion styling industry that I hadn't explored before that it really opened my eyes to the opportunities available to me as a stylist. My background is in fashion buying but I have always been interested in styling which became apparent after I ran my own independent shop. I studied with LCS from January to July on both the Fashion & Personal Styling Foundation Diploma and Editorial Styling Advanced Diploma. I was a complete beginner with no previous experience in styling, but LCS made sure I was fully prepared to begin my styling life by the end of the course. From the moment I first got in contact with Wendy at the London College of Style I knew the Diploma in Personal Styling Course was the right one for me. I had been thinking about becoming a Personal Stylist for a while but knew that I needed to get properly qualified to have the confidence to set up a business on my own. During the week I was there I learnt so much. All the tutors were very knowledgeable with years of experience and it really showed. I was like a sponge soaking up all the information and as a result I know that I am running my business in a much more professional way. For example, going through the process of a wardrobe edit bit by bit with a real life client (who brought all of her wardrobe into college) was incredibly helpful. I have just completed the Advanced Editorial Styling course and I would recommend it to anyone. I throughly enjoyed myself and gained great experience. The tutors helped us to gain contacts, get work published online and in print and prepare us for life after the course. Since the course I have interned with a handful of stylists and done some exciting jobs with celebrities and on music videos etc. A year and a half on and I am still in contact with them and can always ask for advice and help if need be. LCS was a great course for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a start as a stylist in the industry.

I finished Fashion & Personal Styling Foundation 3-month Diploma and I can recommend LCS to anyone who would like to be introduced to the Fashion industry by real, passionate professionals. You have classes once a week (Wednesdays) and apart from that you complete various tasks in Westfields shopping centre, you have photo shoots to create your own portfolio, you visit fashion exhibitions together and also you can do additional job opportunities - which is actually working as Stylist Assistant at various shoots for real magazines, look books and sometimes even TV commercials. Thanks to LCS I also had opportunity to both WORK & ATTEND SHOWS AT LONDON FASHION WEEK MEN'S in June '17 which was my BIG DREAM and I still can't believe I was actually there!!! :) All of that gave me INVALUABLE experience in both Personal, Commercial and Editorial styling and also it helped me clarify in which area I would like to specialize. Lecturers are real experts so apart from knowledge they give you practical tips & industry insights. Dan is amazing and always friendly & supporting students on daily basis, while Wendy gives you amazing guidance & support in starting your own Personal Styling business. I started the Photography Course at LCS, without expecting anything more than a course on how to use a camera for beginners. And I was extremely surprised and pleased when I actually learned how to perfect my photography skills to a point where we actually had to shoot agencies models, and organise our own test shoot from scratch. A very scary experience at first but completely worth it. I thought I was good at taking pictures but this course helped me hone my skills to such extend that I feel better showing my work and contacting agencies on my own. I am now also able to use Photoshop in depth when I could only use Lightroom previously. The teacher Kenneth, although very sassy, is actually incredibly Kind, and an amazing teacher. He's the main reason I feel so comfortable and confident about my work. He taught us how to create everything for a Fashion Editorial, from the conceptual idea to the finish product. Our other teacher, Tiffany, was just as great, she taught us how to approach commercial photography, teaching us about clients and how to get stunning results. After attending many fashion courses with modules of fashion styling, there was a lack of information and substance to lead me on the creative path. After a few detailed searches on google I found LCS. I was excited while reading the course description and the training methods, from then I was sold. I was coming from a luxury retail background, working with clients providing great customer service with the store experience. But I always knew there was much more to styling than just clothes, so I studied personal styling at LCS in 2015. I'm a practical person so my first day I was nervous at the thought of being back in the academic environment, but there was absolutely nothing to worry about, as everyone was happy to be there with joy and smiles! ambition was everywhere and that was enough to settle me. I learned about body shapes for men and women, how to conduct and wardrobe consultation and colour analysis. All of theses coupled together has given me a life skill-set and to style with confidence. Life Skill - i.e Colour. Now I'm trained in colour i'm visually aware of what colour can do in general, how it's used, what is the right colour for other people and myself also. This has helped me in so many ways and not just in fashion. The course gave me the most support to help build upon my weaker areas which quickly developed. This was a real life styling course that equipped me with the right tools the dos and don'ts and key fundamentals for a stylist to survive. On the course I was vocal that I wanted to specialise in menswear. By the end of the course I was interning at the Idelman for 2 months. I went back to LCS, and studied the advance editorial. I was taught everything to a professional standard with in depth class training on styling, PRs, business and career development. This course was intense and I learned a lot about myself, It was a real test of endurance of how bad I wanted it. I got my first editorial work published by Boys By Girls magazine then followed by Fault magazine. It has been an amazing opportunity to start building a strong portfolio, and work with fashion photographers and MUA's. I have made really good connections from this course and thankful for Dan and LCS to guide and support me throughout. Since the course I have been working more with Boys By Girls magazine, and other publications to keep the creative side of my editorial work flowing. Now i'm working as commercial stylist and a personal stylist part time. Without LCS this wouldn't be possible!!!!
