Reviews of London Fight Factory
N. M.
So I joined London Fight Factory, end of 2018.
Best decision of my life. Not going to say you don’t have to put the effort in. Not in the sense of motivation, but discipline, being consistent. I have failed a lot, but learn more. Also, LFF coaches developed me into taking onboard criticism to develop myself better, something I struggled with my whole life. ~This team is a really awesome and clean environment.
I think the only way you really see how far you can go, is if you remember, as much you can: why you signed up that very first day. hearing the pads, the work, the sounds, the fear. the purpose.
Coming into 2022, alot has happened in this world- alot. And that purpose has helped me.
I walked in the club met by Vado. Who from the get go, though I was fearful, was so cool, and polite. Yes, having *some* martial arts but post 30+, I needed to be more confident. Life can hit you when your low, and it did. But the team here, at LFF, have picked me up over and over again. Real talk.
The lessons I have learned here have helped me develop as person and decisions I make working towards goals, and effectively my career.
I also have had the opportunity to meet athletes I only dreamed of, when watching on you tube.
These included in November, the club hosted former Bellator Middleweight Champion Raphael Lovato Jr and the greatest grappler in UFC history, mixed martial artist Demian Maia.
The very best in combat hold reverence to LFF and coaches that include Current Contender’s Featherweight Champion: Canadian fighter, Jeremy “Ninja” Petley (who operates the MMA program + He has fought in Bellator and BAMMA, also), Silvio, Tiago, Luis “Manxinha” Ribeiro and many amazing coaches. Really awesome who passionate and talented. [Sorry I haven’t mentioned all the coaches-]
This is my experience, and I won’t say anything I wouldn’t hold to my chest. I met the best people in my life here. Throw out all the preconceptions that people told you who are when you were down. Be who you want to be, beyond belief. This is the place.
Really worth a visit.
Any questions you can ask Raphael or Helen, who are always the MOST helpful. Thank you.
The whole team make *ME* feel like *WE*. Always.

This is definitely one of the best gyms I’ve ever trained at. There is a heavy focus on technique before rolling or sparring. Which means for a beginner it’s great because you feel a lot more confident when you get thrown into the deep end as you built up a good base of technique. All the coaches are invested in students getting better. Definitely recommend

I really enjoy going to LFF and particularly my Muay Thai classes with Anton ! Great atmosphere and amazing classes! It's a very safe environment where no one judge anyone as well and everyone respect eachother. Thank you LFF and thank you Anton ! 👊🏼

Best gym ever! I love this place - it is so welcoming and fun, the instructors are fantastic, and I have met great friends. I train BJJ with Luiz who is a brilliant instructor - I am proud to call myself his student. If you’re thinking of coming to train here, do it! You won’t regret it.

I’ve just recently joined LFF & I’m having the best time. Nothing is better for me then going there and releasing all the stress from the day. Although that place seemed scary for me in the beginning, the people there, staff, trainers are so welcoming and kind. I recommend this place especially if you’re starting from scratch. They lead you through it, teach you all the basics as they have classes from absolute beginners to pros. 100% recommend this place.

Best Martial Arts academy who will ever find in London, top facilities very experienced instructors and great atmosphere all round. Hard training sessions getting the most of every student as it should be! LFF all the way!!

Wanted to start BJJ late last year and decided to trial class at LFF as the location worked for me. Good size gym for classes/practice. More importantly really liked the team! Guys are passionate about what they do and that shows. Everybody’s friendly and willing to help with questions if you missed something in the class. So been coming to classes since then. Would gladly recommend to come and try it out if you haven’t already!

I’ve been going to this place for 7 months!
When I first joined I was nervous and shy. But they were very welcoming, they made me feel comfortable and they understand how treat everyone. Ever since the first time till now I’ve never had any negative experience always a positive ones. There so much to say! If you feel a need to place to go and to do mma, boxing, jiujutsu and etc this is the place! I really really recommend it!

Trained Muay Thai at LFF for the better part of 2 years. Instructors are friendly and approachable, but likewise they take their responsibilities and the gym very seriously. The community around the gym is also very friendly. Great place to train!

As a Jiu Jitsu player in my golden years (40+) I find classes physically demanding but rewarding. Expert tuition is provided by Professor Luiz and a good number of coaches. Mats and facilities are super clean. Everyone is friendly and inclusive. Great club!!
S. A.
Cancelled my contract after 2 months as they were closed during lockdown. Expressed that I was cancelling explicitly in the email and cancelled my direct debit. I now get a letter a year later from a debt collecting company telling me to pay an outstanding balance of over 400 pounds in the next two weeks or face further action. Other than that quality of coaching and facilities were good when I used them.

I joined London Fight Factory at the beginning of autumn and it was a fantastic experience ever since. I mainly do Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and our team and Coach Luiz are both one of a kind. The wisest man I have ever known; the team is assembled in a way that all levels feel included and receive knowledge to progress at a pace. I have friends who went to other classes such as Muay-Thai and they were equally delighted.
The gym itself is spacious and well-ventilated, which is a major factor in London.
T. W.
I train BJJ at London Fight Factory and its amazing. Luiz is great and the atmosphere is really good for people of all abilities. Would highly recommend anybody to come and train here!!
G. A.
Honestly, there's nothing more to say other than I loved it. I was there half a year before I moved abroad and I was very upset to leave. I only did Muay Thai and the coaches were great, very patient and friendly. They took the time to correct me and help me improve. But even everyone else working at LLF were welcoming and great to hang out with, I will dearly miss it.
A. R.
A great place to learn BJJ... 3 in & hooked!! Luiz and the coaching team are friendly and approachable, classes involve drilling fundamentals and building context around moves which progress and evolve in to new and then different moves every week or so...
8 months into a journey now, it's great to learn new techniques and learn lessons from valuable mistakes 🙏
C. M.
LFF was an amazing place to train in. Staff was always helpful and every coach was extremely helpful and paid attention to detail. Although I mostly trained in Muay Thai, where Anton focused on every single detail of standup striking, all classes I tried were both fun and insightful. I will definitely train again whenever Im in London

Jiu Jitsu as a metaphor of life.
Practicing Jiu Jitsu you will learn that failure it's a natural thing, as success is too. You fail, you get up, fail again, and so on. What you will learn is that, once you fail, you don't have time to complain, but you will have to react and get up fast. You will learn how to be comfortable in an uncomfortable position, how to react under pressure and how to be humble.
Luiz, the coach, is very passionate about what he is doing and you will see this with every technique he teaches. His classes are not a place of comfort, but a place of discipline and pushing to the limits to get the best version of you.
So, if you want to become a better person inside and outside the mat, I definitely recommend this place.
C. L.
Review is entirely based on the BJJ beginners classes for the last few months.
London Fight factory is located through an small easy to miss door on a cobble street, heading down the stairs past photos from the club as well jiujitsu legends you get to the matted areas where instruction takes place. There are two sets of mats, the first primarily for grappling and the second that also has hanging bags for all your Boxing and Muay Thai needs.
There are changing rooms and bathrooms for both men and women along with showers if you wish to be kind to your fellow passengers on the underground on your trip home after training.
As far as BJJ prices go in London the price you pay is good. £65 for 8 classes a month and £80 for 12 classes a month and the level of instruction is high.
Beginners classes are often very busy but the level of instruction is very high. Sometimes at busier classes like in many gyms the instructor Luiz can't get around to every pair of people that are drilling and rolling but if you ask questions either during the demo's or while you are drilling he is always willing to answer and demonstrate. There are also a talented, friendly and helpful group of assistant instructors who do a great job of helping students when Luiz cannot be everywhere at once.
The approach to beginners classes is quite systematic with each week building on the last. Usually each week will have a main focus such as Guard, Half Guard, Collar Choke and so on with the more times you go that week the more chance you will have to develop that element of your game.
The gym is really big on hygiene which is incredibly important, so please do listen when you are told to wear shoes or flip flops when off the mats and to only stand on the mats in bare feet (Or dedicated shoes that are not worn elsewhere in the case of boxing.
If this rule isn't followed do not be surprised if you are told quite sternly to put your shoes on when off the mat or to remove yourself mat if you walk onto it with shoes or socks on. If you have seen the effects of staph infections you will appreciate how seriously this is taken.
If you want to train BJJ in London I can recommend this gym. The level of the other instruction that I have seen but have not yet been luckily enough to take part in has also been great.
C. O.
High level of coaching and a really friendly environment that will make you achieve your goals!
I started training at London Fight Factory in June 2021 mainly with boxing and MMA and then thanks to coach Luiz I started falling in love with Jiu Jitsu and I haven’t stop training it since then!
The intensity and quality of training is impressive, all coaches and staff are always ready to help and make you improve if you are ready for it. The gym community is also growing a lot and they are all really respectful and friendly - big shout out to Coach Luiz for always pushing us to socialise and build up relationships between us.
Last but not least, the gym has very high standards of hygiene in every areas such as toilets and the mats and there’s a great timetable with classes for every level!
So… If you're looking for a place where you can learn Mixed Martial Arts, improve your lifestyle and make new friends, London Fight Factory is the place for you!
Just one thing to remember… NO SHOES ON THE MAT!!! ⛔️👟

Joined LFF in September 2021 and it has been like a second family to me. Great club and great coaches. Anton attention to details and his coaching abilities have allowed me to improve my muay thai considerably.

I joined LFF like a year ago. And let me tell you how amazing this whole experience has been for me. Learning so much each week and I can see the progress I made over the year. It’s never too late to start. And trust the system that’s in place.
D. K.
excellent gym. when i started here i was introverted and shy, and less than a year in i'm completely changed, i'm confident, extroverted, and able to fight, the training here is top notch, boxing, MMA muay thai, sambo, bjj, wrestling, all of it's great for any skill level
N. R.
Have been all around the country over the past few years and trained in numerous BJJ gyms.... This is still the best, with such amazing coaches. Just glad to be back in London and training back here again!
For those who wrote some of the more negative reviews here I would say; please don't confuse being passionate for being rude!
G. F.
Spacious, clean, tidy, top trainers, great atmosphere.
C. N.
I visited for a week and this place could not have been nicer. This school is special with a perfect balance between discipline , technique and fun. If you are thinking about BJJ or MMA, no matter what your level, this is your place.
P. H.
Had never done any martial arts training, tried boxing and BJJ, coaches were amazing with beginners and were great at introducing me to their respective disciplines.
A few years later, it's still a great environment to learn and improve; coaching staff are amazing and facilities are always clean.
Weights area is good if you use barbell/dumbbells (25kg max)/kettle bells etc. Highly recommended.
J. F.
Train BJJ and boxing at this gym every week day. Instructors are great and welcoming and the classes are a great mixture of hard work and fun learning. Weights area is well equipped and the gym is always very clean. Booking classes through the app is super easy and the timetable is great for 9-5 workers with early morning, lunch time and evening classes. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Oss.

Joining LFF has been the best decision since I came to London. Both the quality of training and the people I'm meeting there are great!
C. D.
Started training MMA in 2019 and haven’t looked back. Now I train both MMA and Jiu Jitsu. Training at LFF is a staple of my week! Thank you!
L. J.
This gym it’s absolutely fantastic!!! I started in 2018 and then I had to take a break during the lockdown but now I’m back.
All the masters are very friendly and professional especially Raphael the guy that also makes inductions at the door.
The place is kept spotless and has a nice changing room with showers.

Been coming for Beginners BJJ for three months, love the attitude and passion of the coaches and the spirit among everyone who trains here. Definitely recommend for anyone starting out in martial arts or who wants to try something new.
C.
I have been attending the Muay thai classes on and off since October 2020 and have loved it. The Coaches have a good balance of pushing us hard, encouragement and rest. The staff at the door like are friendly and always make you feel welcome whenever you come to train. I definitely recommend it
B. S.
London Fight Factory is a great welcoming place. Went for a free jiu jitsu trial and I’m hooked! Highly recommend!!

Have been doing the Beginners Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class for close to three months now and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Liuz, the teacher for every class I've attended, explains things in an easy to understand manner so I've never felt lost. All the instructors are very professional, help keep you motivated and provide great tips and pointers to perfect your technique.
All the other students I've sparred with are always keen to see you do well and succeed. It's an all-round great environment to learn in.
Also, if you're looking for a good workout, you won't find much better than one of the BJJ classes. The sweat will be pouring off you!
e. s.
I have trained in other BJJ gyms over London, but none pushes you like LFF. Luiz is very thoughtful and an excellent coach who will most definitely help you achieve your goals if you trust the process.
The whole team in the gym is very welcoming, providing the perfect environment for you to learn, train or work out.
In a convenient location, seconds from the station, the facilities are also excellent, well-cleaned bathrooms, with perfect hygiene, the mats always clean and a fully equipped gym.
R. M.
Competitive classes whether one is training professionally or just to keep in shape, great coaches and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Hey!
I recently took a trial MMA session. I already have ten years experience in Tae Kwon Do both a black belt, but I haven’t trained for about 9 years. I thought it’d be fun to start up a different sport, and found London Fight Factory.
Helen and Luiz were both super lovely and helpful, and the rules regarding shoes/mats and COVID-19 precautions were very clearly explained to us.
Jeremy the coach was incredible and really welcoming. He made a clear effort to come and help me out if I needed it, he was motivational and when I was slowing down he was really encouraging!
I ended up going home happy (but exhausted haha!) and signing up for a membership that night. I’ve now been to a few classes, already bought myself a pair of LFF shorts and can’t wait to continue training here!
PS, I really don’t understand the bad reviews on here! Helen and Luiz are lovely, and the rules about shoes on and off the mats isn’t hard to grasp! You gotta keep the germs off haha!
Thanks LFF!

I've been training at LFF for the past 10/11 months, primarily Boxing and Wrestling but more recently BJJ too. I've trained at a handful of Boxing gyms across London and can honestly say the quality of coaching by Silviu is by far the best I've experienced. I'm new to Wrestling and BJJ, but the classes ran by Ioan and Luiz have been just as enjoyable and engaging.
Great atmosphere, great place.
T. C.
Began training here in 2018 and have not looked back since. Started with a trial class in MMA where Jeremy made sure (and continues to make sure) who the newcomers are so he can give them dedicated attention in lessons.
After a few months of MMA I began the BJJ classes in tandem. I've continued with both for the last two or so years. The coaches are always super stoked to see you progress and are quick to give you breakdowns and constructive feedback (shouts out to Danny for his saint-like patience in our one-on-ones). Outside of the formal classes everyone from the lowest to the highest belts is ready to offer informal tips and guidance so it feels like a genuine team.
Super positive and professional vibes throughout, have met some great people here, and have always left the gym feeling better than when I came in - just annoyed at myself for not starting earlier! Oss
S. F.
Wide selection of classes catering to every ability. Really good for both those getting back into martial arts and also novices, and great value for money.
A. R.
Great gym! Still a beginner but so far has been an excellent experience. Everyone from LFF is accomodating and helpful the other members and the facilities are great. Would recommend if it’s your first time doing BJJ or another martial art.
M. S.
I've been training at London Fight Factory for several years now, taking boxing classes with Silviu and previously MMA classes with Jeremy. Both are excellent trainers who really push you to continually improve and are extremely knowledgeable. It's a great gym, I've always found all the staff and other members very friendly and would highly recommend.
J. B.
I've been coming to LFF since early February and I'm so glad I took the initial step to come. The coaches, and other people training, are so friendly and knowledgeable and have really made me feel comfortable. I'm here most days in the week now and I really love it. I'll continue coming as long as I can.
T. L.
It can be quite daunting as a beginner coming to an MMA gym but I could not have asked for a better experience, even during lockdown. Everyone is incredibly welcoming, helpful and considerate of your abilities. Classes are fun and engaging and demonstrate a real knowledge of LFF's passion and knowledge of the various disciplines they teach. Big props to my boxing coach, Silviu, the Zoom classes through lockdown have kept me sane and I can't wait to get back in the gym again.
G. K.
I've been doing boxing with Silviu and BJJ with Luiz for 2 months now since reopening, I can tell this is one of the best places in London. For me it sticks all boxes - very friendly people and positive atmosphere, but strict when it has to be. If you really want to learn grow and make yourself better - these guys are happy to help.
Thank you guys for what you're doing!
P. L.
My 7 yo son has been attending BJJ for 2+ years now and in this short span, we’ve grown to love everything that LFF represents. The skills and discipline the coaches instil in the kids are great life skills and we’re really happy with the way the coaches treat and care about the kids. My son looks forward to all his classes, loves his coaches Luiz and Daniel, and that speaks volumes of the heart and soul of this gym. I definitely recommend sending your kids for a trial class, cos like us, you’d be hooked after!
G. A.
London Fight Factory, it’s like my 2nd home an excellent place to go to if you want to learn martial arts or work out. I’ve been to many places before and done many martial arts but they never felt right, it always felt as if something was missing. Until, my friend told me about LFF and how it was and the atmosphere so I couldn’t resist. I was 12 when I first entered LFF and I’m 16 now, so let me tell you. Once I entered LFF it felt like that emptiness was filled, all the people here were so nice and friendly always willing to help you with anything. It was the greatest decision of my life because coming here and training BJJ gave me the confidence and the strength to stand up to all of my problems and worries, if it were at school or with friends or even if I felt helpless.
So I thank my coaches and the people here for everything that they have done in my life.
J. O.
Humble and respectful atmosphere, coaches that are really passionate about martial arts and making classes fun.
Highly reccomend for all skill levels as they are very welcoming to first timers.
R. G.
I have been a member of the gym for nearly 6 months now attending the boxing classes each week coached by Silviu. I have found the gym to be a great community of people of varying skill levels trying to improve themselves each session. I cannot recommend the gym highly enough; it's affordable, attended by great people and lead by exceptional coaches.
Silviu's experience and passion for coaching is clear, he has found a great balance of making the sessions fun whilst also pushing everyone who attends to better themselves each week - this has been evident even in the Covid-enforced Zoom sessions. Thank you coach.
H. &. A.
If you want to reach your goals in a great environment, this is the place for you. Luiz and his team make you feel very welcome, there is a great atmosphere and you achieve new fitness levels & skills. Thank you!
T. F.
I’ve had a great experience here. All staff have been friendly since I first contacted them for a trial session and I have not stopped training with them since. Silviu, the boxing coach, has done an excellent job of maintaining the quality of training during lockdown with zoom sessions.
R. V.
Joining LFF is like joining a family of like minded individuals and it for sure has changed my and many others’ lives. It definitely is NOT just a gym (like most weightlifting gyms) it is a great place to learn how to fight/defend yourself, meet new people and have fun while doing so.
The training is second to none. Jeremy (MMA coach) was my first teacher at LFF and studying under him has changed my life no doubt. He’s very patient when you try and grasp a technical concept. I see him get along with all students and you’d never think that he is one of the toughest and best fighters in the world (since he is very very friendly and down to earth). I will always stay in touch with him as a mentor, brother and close trusted friend.
Everyone at LFF has made an effort to use online zoom classes during lockdown showing that there is nothing that can stop you if you want it! In particular, Helen (Co-owner) is truly great and ensures the day to day activities go ahead! Without her, I don’t know where we’d be in lockdown! She’s also the best person to speak to if you have any questions about what to expect from LFF and has a million emails sent to her at once but finds a way to get back to you asap !
Luiz (head BJJ coach) is an excellent mentor and I aspire to have his mindset. He not only teaches you great techniques, making sure you grasp it before moving on but what stands out to me is how he instills the right values of respect, hard work, teamwork and passion - you can tell he is truly proud of LFF and seeing his students progress! I want to earn my stripes under him and no one else.
There are also plenty of other coaches and students I’m grateful to who always are willing to help!
I encourage anyone reading this who is sitting on the sidelines unsure of giving it a go to at least come down for a free trial!
E. P.
The reality it's not just to find a gym where exercise with amazing teacher also to find a big family that want you to grow up as much as you give the effort, that teach you the respect and discipline for go and realize what you have in your mind.
I deeply recommend to join us for see and believe what I'm saying!
A big thanks to all the team and coach!

As someone who never did any sports, I found the class (boxing) very welcoming and accommodating!
All coaches and reception staff are always very nice, encouraging and helpful. Great place for all levels.
S. S.
Superb gym, high quality tuition and an extremely welcoming atmosphere. I'm currently training at the BJJ morning classes let by Luiz and loving every minute of it. Luiz runs superb sessions. It starts with a nice warm up, then a technical breakdown of some techniques before moving on to some sparring/rolling. I've trained judo for most of my life and have therefore spent a lot of time at different gyms, so I know a good one when I find it. London Fight Factory is one of the best gyms I have trained at. The facilities are superb, the mats are probably the cleanest I have ever trained on and as mentioned before, the quality of training is fantastic. You can feel that each instructor truly cares about his/her students' development and the entire atmosphere is extremely encouraging and feels like you're training alongside family.
S. V.
I'm the Boxing and Sambo Coach at LFF and this review isn't for me but all my students. Thank you for sticking with us over the last year, I give you five stars for your efforts, determination and consistency in training during the pandemic and through the lockdowns. You've made me a very happy coach, seeing you evolving despite everything - using Zoom classes - and working outside of classes as well has been really positive and motivating for me. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you soon. Silviu
G. A.
London Fight Factory is like family for me, because when I was feeling down or depressed or even stressed, LFF reliefs me from all of that and the atmosphere is like nothing I've even seen. Everyone there is so friendly and is a great place to go to if you want to get physically and mentally stronger. Would recommend to every person I know :) Also even if you are on zoom you can still feel the atmosphere of learning and everyone's passion to learn. The teachers there also teach just as great online so you don't have to worry about not learning as much as you would in person. A real great learning environment :) Osss
M. O.
I was recommended to join LFF's boxing classes by a friend – and it has definitely exceeded my expectations: the sessions represent a perfect mix of cardio and skill training; I found the drills aimed at conditioning basic boxing moves/punches particularly helpful – I feel like getting the basics right and making them into a habit is a bigger focus at LFF relative to other martial arts classes I had taken before (many of them are more good HIIT exercises rather than skill training, to be frank). You know that you are in very experienced hands with coach Silviu. I’d also highlight the way LFF has tackled the pandemic, with Zoom classes offering a good opportunity to focus on particular skill elements and providing good refreshment for the body and mind in the work-from-home environment. In a nutshell – an amazing school, and I can’t wait to get back on the mat.
D. C.
I have been training at LFF with Silviu for 5 years and that in itself says it all.
If you want a place where you turn up and have your ego massaged, and relax in a sauna afterwards, LFF is not for you.
If however you are willing to work hard, want learn combat martial arts from true pros who have 'walked the walk', and truly care about your progress, you won't beat this place.
LFF has beginners and pros training here side by side - as long as you have the right attitude, you'll be looked after by everyone and soon become part of the LFF family.
Silviu himself is a legend, and you'd never know all that he's accomplished because he's so humble.
If you want to learn or improve your combat martial arts, book and turn up, and be prepared to never look back...
T. c.
I have been training at LFF since 2014 and never looked back. I would recommend anyone from beginners to professional level to train martial arts here. Also, the friendships I have gain over the years while training are truly priceless!
G.
Been here for 3 years now mainly for boxing and sambo under coach Silviu. Coach Silviu has a wealth of experience and teaches with a purpose - to make yourself a better fighter and a better person.
I have also been for BJJ/MMA lessons with Coach Luiz, Jeremy, Galinho and they are all great people too with a passion for making their students better. All in all a great experience!
A note to newcomers: Coaches/students might look intimidating but ask and they will definitely be more than happy to help! The people who train here are serious about the sport but know when to have fun when the time comes. Respect that and you will be fine!
S. R.
Been training with London Fight Factory for two and a half years. It is a combat gym with experienced, motivating and committed instructors, top quality training, family friendly & clean environment and friendly diverse community. The coaches have absolutely gone the extra mile during lockdown with a timetable of Zoom training sessions and a creative program of exercises and drills specific to the various combat activities for which the gym is well known. I am very grateful to them for this daily training schedule which has helped us all maintain a high level of fitness and, just as importantly during a worldwide lockdown situation, for maintaining a positive, motivating and uplifting community. Couldn't have asked for more. Great job guys!

Awesome gym with great instructors, brilliant teaching and amazing facilities. Wide range of martial arts on offer and various times to fit into your schedule. World class competitors offer seminars which demonstrates the calibre of training. All the coaches have high standards and there is a really positive vibe. I would recommend everyone to pop down and see it for themselves, just don't wear your shoes on the mat! Jag

Great environment, staff are extremely warm and welcoming and the quality of the lessons are unrivalled!

I've been training BJJ at LFF for about ten months and think it's great. I find all the instructors really friendly and knowledgeable. It's a really nice community they've created, the people who train there are super nice.
They're also doing a great job with offering Zoom classes during lockdown.
Highly recommend this place :)

I've recently joined London Fight Factory and i can comfortably say its everything i hoped it to be, the facility and equipment are excellent and the coaches and staff are even better making me feel welcomed making sure every class is enjoyable.

I have been training BJJ at LFF for 2 years now and absolutely love spending time at the gym. Since the very beginning of lockdown the coaches have hosted daily BJJ classes on Zoom, the classes have been an excellent way of keeping fitness levels up and keeping everyone in touch, the coaches are doing an amazing job and I can't wait to get back to training in the gym with everyone!

Been training at London Fight Factory for a little over a month now in the beginners BJJ classes, two to three times a week.
Having done a few weeks training at a different gym out of town, ive been so impressed with the quality of teaching, patience and overall great community of good, hard working guys and girls that train here.
It's a no ego environment of people that want to learn and improve every day.
Yeah for the first few weeks the warm ups suuck but you get used to it and get in killer shape.
And yes, you'll probably get told off if you walk off the mats without footwear, it's for the benefit of everyone and a reason why the gym is so clean 😉
Cheers!

I have been training bjj in this gym for 2 years an 1/2 but my first class was 5 years ago. There are many reasons why I have been coming back here every time I come to London. Here some of them:
-cleanest mats (a couple of months old/cleaned everyday)
-best coaching in each of the different sports (I tried them all)
-full day timetable
-really good relation with the rest of the members that I eventually call friends.
If you are willing to do some sport, compete, get fit or the 3 at the same time while learning some self defence and meeting new people this is the place to be.

I've been training at LFF since the beginning of the year, enjoyed every day, people and staff are extremely professional and friendly. I've trained boxing since day one, attending the sessions on zoom 3 times a week. They are amazing and a blessing, coach Silviu Vulc is very professional and attentive, always making sure that we make the most out of every session. Keep up the great work!
V. M.
Ive been training there for over 5 years now. I'm doing boxing and will not train anywhere else.
Due to the covid pandemic situation we had to switch our training to zoom classes. At first when they introduced us to that idea I was a bit perplexed about it.
Anyway I tried a session and I've been hooked since. I think they are great and I personally do enjoy them and hope they will continue doing them even after they re-open.
I really encourage people to participate to the zoom session as it will help you to improve your technique and confidence like it did for me. I can't wait to fight again. Thank you to coach Silviu as he is an amazing trainer 🙌🏿👊🏿

It's great to find a place that feels like a gym and a little like a home... The coaches are all very attentive and the training is passionate. One of the things that I was happy about was the hygiene of the place specially for the grappling martial arts like Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Wrestling. I have been training at LFF for the past 3 years and other then making good friends and learning new skills I got the chance to meet famous world champions in jiu-jitsu and be trained by them.
D. L.
LFF has been there for all students during lockdown, with a full and growing schedule of Zoom classes. Because of work and family commitments I do BJJ 6pm Monday, and 715am weds and Friday which gives me a great mix of technique, fitness, flexibility and mental focus.
Really impressed with how Luiz and the coaches have kept the community and spirit of the gym alive during lockdown through the Zoom classes and other events. I can’t always attend but there have been team challenges, regular yoga for BJJ, and BJJ rules discussion, kettlebell classes, special guest interviews, social gatherings...... all in addition to the regular Zoom classes which take account of everyone’s circumstances, use equipment available at home, and work with and without training partners.
All of the above has been a lifeline for my sanity during lockdown and I’m sure many others.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I love LFF. This is what martial arts are about. Luiz and all the coaches are all excellent and dedicated - discipline is fundamental to all their teaching. I started BJJ a few years ago and never looked back. I guarantee if you commit yourself, listen to the coaches and have respect (for the coaches, your team members, the gym, your martial art and yourself) you will love it too. You become part of the family.
R. T.
My nephew is doing jiu-jítsu in the last 3 years and it has been clean to me and his parents how this martial art has a power to give to your supporters discipline, education and respect and it has been no different to the kids. My nephew is 6 years old and like every single other kid he is doing all his activities at home due the pandemic and the lockdown. The zoom classes every Monday and Wednesday have made him pro active and getting a normal life as a kid. The classes of jiu-jitsu have worked on his body condition also his ludic part. Daniel the coach is super friendly and attentive with all the kids. I am super glad that even in this moment of the world the London fight factory found one way to keep looking after their kids..

The best place if you want to learn how to fight!
Started a few months ago, it was my first time trying fighting classes and I did not know what to expect but everything is just awesome. Also, being a girl, where MMA classes are mostly full of guys, here at LFF does not make you different, which I love.
Jeremy, the coach, is great and everybody is nice and hard working.

I’ve been training jiu jitsu for about 4 years now at 4 different gyms (I’ve moved a lot) with two of those years at LFF. LFF is by far the best gym I have ever encountered. This gym has truly changed me and has grown to become my family away from home. Not only has my jiu jitsu improved but who I am as a person has as well. Luiz is tough but you know that he wants the best for his students. He wants their skills to improve and he wants them to find their true potential. LFF will always have a special place in my heart. Oss! - Jon Jitsu

This is what a real fight gym should be. Just had a trial session. Gave me absolutely no special treatment as a newcomer, I was put straight into the deep end with all the other students. This is by far the best experience as a newcomer as it is the best way to learn. Everyone is there to learn a new skill and not sit around and mouth off. There is an underlying notion of respect and discipline. People have their stuff lying around in the locker room with no worry of anyone stealing their belongings. It is a very “work orientated” atmosphere with no frills and I will most definitely be returning to fine tune my skills.
E. A.
I have been a member of LFF since the start of the year and really enjoyed the training and atmosphere in the gym. Due to the unforeseen and forced closure of the gym the classes taking place on Zoom have been excellent in the mean time.
The boxing classes with Silviu are fantastic and during lockdown have improved both my fitness and technique whilst away from the gym. I am looking forward to returning to the gym but can't recommend the Zoom classes enough
B. S.
They say true character is shown in times of adversity and that’s exactly what LFF has done during this period of Corona Crisis.
It would have been very easy for the gym to simply shutdown and await reopening, however almost immediately LFF set up daily Zoom classes for BJJ which focused on learning new techniques, practicing solo drills and improving fitness (with serious motivation from coach Luiz to make sure we all return to training fitter than when we left). Nothing beats training Jiu Jitsu in real life but the Zoom classes help fill the void left from not being able to go to the gym, they are fun, engaging and have helped develop my understanding of specific positions and BJJ as a whole. The classes have also helped keep the community together during this difficult time.
In addition to running the online classes of the classes usually held in the gym LFF have also added new classes to the schedule like Swing to Win which is a kettle bell workout run by Danny in the morning, which is a great full body workout which helps to build strength and endurance for BJJ and sets you up for a great day. Along with Swing to Win, LFF have also set up Yoga classes for students ran by fellow student Iona, which has been a great intro into Yoga and greatly improved my flexibility.
The thought of having 3 months away from training Jiu Jitsu at the start of lockdown truly scared me, it has been difficult but LFF has helped me cope with this difficult time. When you’re training locked in your house on Zoom, you don’t feel like you training alone - you feel like you’re training as part of a team, inspired by your teammates even when it’s difficult and you may want to quit.
I’m not surprised but LFF’s response, LFF is not just a gym, it’s a team and this virus was never going to stop us from improving and getting better together!
K. F.
Don’t usually write reviews, but I have been a member of LFF gym for a few months now and can definitely recommend it if you are considering taking a visit/joining. The gym itself is the friendliest and cleanest you will find and the level of teaching is excellent. Each class I find I learn so much....just wish I had joined sooner! I recently completed a block booking of private sessions with Luis (aka Wallid) and to anyone looking to take private sessions then he is your man! I found I learned so much and advanced my BJJ skills/knowledge thanks to his friendly and clear teaching methods! I would definitely recommend taking a session or two with him. All in all. give LFF a go, you won’t be disappointed!!

LFF has been a training ground for me to build the body, mind, and character since 2018. The coaches are a lovely bunch, passionate and excellent at their game. They've created an atmosphere of camaraderie and great team who push each other to excel. The coaches have really supported everyone during this pandemic and continued their training over zoom classes, keeping everyone's morale high. I can't recommend them enough if you'd like to train with them when lockdown is lifted.
C. N.
Hello,
I've been training here just over a year now and must say its possibly one of the best decisions i've made. The coaches and the team are all a fantastic bunch and you are treated like family. I train here almost everyday doing BJJ, Thai and MMA and can absolutely say the coaches here are amazing and constantly pushing everyone to hone their skills and progress as they all want you to grow as individuals.
I have to say that honestly words cannot describe the teaching and atmosphere in this place as its one you should experience first hand.
There's so much more i wish to say but it's best for you to experience what LFF has to offer yourself!!
J. M.
I trialled the wrestling beginners class and it was fantastic. Instructor was great for a busy class. Session was lots of fun. Learned a lot.
Looking forward to going to a few more classes in the future.
EDIT
I went to a BJJ class afterwards before lockdown. It was very good, they kindly asked if there's any new people and then some experienced guys helped me train the basics by drilling a full guard arm bar which was fun. Good vibes.

LFF is bloody amazing !! (Especially the BJJ classes)
I’ve been training at LFF for around 8 months now and can honestly say it’s one of the best decision I’ve made. Prior to joining I wasn’t in the greatest space (I won’t bore you with the detail) but being apart of the LFF community and beginners BJJ classes has had such a positive impact on my life.
It may feel daunting at first but once you start training you’ll start to meet new people and feel more and more apart of the team.

I’ve trained with LFF for 3 years now and it’s been fantastic. I train Muay Thai with Aaron as my head coach. He’s exactly what I needed in a coach at this age. I was even part of the first Thailand trip which Aaron organised, which is one of my lifetime highlights. Through this Covid situation our training has changed to Zoom every evening. I have to say that I’m 100% in better shape coming out of Covid than before. I actually super enjoy the Zoom classes but of course looking forward to getting back in the gym.
H. K.
I've been training BJJ and wrestling at LFF for about a year and this has been my experience during the lockdown period:
The coaches have kept pushing us with zoom classes for fitness and solo/partner drills and have even taken advantage of the time away from the mats to set up a rules/match analysis class on the weekends. They've been delivering remote classes for a range of abilities and for kids as well. All said, they did a great job of adapting their training to the circumstances.
Beyond that, they've made an outstanding effort to keep the LFF community together and looking after each other.
Can't wait to get back to the gym and get rolling again, I hope this convinces some of you to join us!
B. M.
I've trained at a few different gyms, but the level of jiu-jitsu here at LFF is extremely high. The training is tough and unrelenting, but you are rewarded with regular seminars from the best in the world, as well as coaching from the high level black belts that attend the gym on a regular basis. Luis has a love for both his students & jiu jitsu and only wants the best for those he coaches. If you're respectful and work hard, you will be rewarded with a superior level of training on the mat as well as life skills off of it!
J. B.
Been training here for two months now and am kicking myself I didn't start sooner. I have mostly taken part in the MMA classes but have recently started Muay Thai and last week had my first BJJ class.
All the instructors are friendly and approachable. Luiz was the first person I met and convinced me to join after my free trial class.
Everyone is cool. There are no egos and there is patience and understanding for those (like me) who are new to Martial Arts as long as you are respectful, follow the rules and listen to instructions.
Shout out to Jeremy and Nick whose sessions I attend regularly and they are brilliant.
If you have ever thought about giving MA a go but aren't sure, I cannot recommend LFF enough. Will for sure be training beyond the initial 6 months!
Ooos!
B. M.
I've trained in boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here for three years and love it. Everyone is friendly and encouraging and its great to have so many other girls/women to train with. One warning. You are expected to listen to your coaches, respect their knowledge, respect your team mates, try your best and to work hard!!
J.
I have trained in gyms all over the world (I'm a BJJ brown belt for those of you that may judge my opinion on this criteria), and spent several months at Fight Factory when I was in London. Not only is the gym spacious and clean (no shoes on the mats people!), but Luiz and the team were welcoming and provided an excellent training environment that helped progress my grappling substantially. I continue to recommend this gym to people who ask me where to train in London.

I just experienced my first complimentary trial Muay Thai session (the Basics) with instructor Aaron and assisting instructors.
Granted this is my second ever Muay Thai class, the experience went above and beyond my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised and comforted by the familiar tone of professionalism, discipline and attentiveness that one associates with martial arts, having grown up with my siblings and parents involved in Karate; yet still remaining very friendly and affable.
Being a fresh beginner, I was initially teamed up with an assisting instructor, who was exceptionally helpful in advising me on my form ('as best to avoid injury', were her wise words). Throughout the class, Aaron was very attentive and supportive in his instruction, yet still made the class feel at ease and really enjoyable with his humour and approachability.
Needless to say - what an incredible workout!
The gym itself has small, but importantly clean and neat all-you-need/expect showers and toilet facilities, which is definitely a bonus compared to other similar gyms I have experienced; and a friendly and helpful reception team. I'm only interested in the Muay Thai classes, though there is a section facilitated towards strength & conditioning which resembles all the apparatus associated with Cross-fit'.
I'm definitely joining up and becoming a member.
A. B.
Have been doing Muay Thai classes here for a few months, good atmosphere, good coach, a variety of people at different levels so there's always something to learn from each other. Gets a bit busy on Mondays. Saturday sparring sessions are really fun.
G. D.
I am training BJJ in the club for almost a year. One of the best things are the members. Everyone is friendly, humbled and we all have the same goal - to learn. But that will never come without the proper management. Saying that when I started the beginners class I found them quite challenging as I was out of any physical training for years. Everyone helped. Now looking back I am glad and thankful I was pushed beyond my limits each time. It prepared me for the rolls and helped me get through some drills I wouldn’t be able to do otherwise, as also preventing injuries. It really made me aware what my abilities are and areas of fitness improvements (all :)). All along the you learn top class jiu jitsu. So if you go for that class, just give it a go, don’t give up and in couple of months you will be grateful.
The other best thing are the coaches. I have never ever seen in even one occasion someone to ask for the drill/move to be explained again and again or whatever and to be refused. The explanation is very well detailed and is at least 3-4 times shown so we can get it. It also varie on tehniques and new ways of learning. In the advances/intermediate classes there are rolls at the end or you can stay after class to drill. There is the stick and the carrot of course, and in fact both pushed me to do just a little bit more each time and to improve. The head instructor Luiz is there everytime teaching himself the classes and there are always his assistants as well to help. There are also many other classes you can attend, so it is really great value.
Facilities are the cleanest I ever been to. The bathroom, the toilets, the gym area. The mat is new and always very clean. No dust, no hairs. I understand some of the frustration of people when they get told of for steping barefoot outside, but there is much more to it. We are all there because we wanted to try and or love and are hooked to the sport. I don’t want to lose a single day I am able to train, because I got a skin or other disease. Even if there is a slim chance for that I am glad that there is someone to take care and protect us and someone who never takes chance to compromise on cleanness and wellbeing of the students. Don’t forget Every part of the body is on that mat. No one want to walk into a gym and found out that his teammates are missing because of spread skin problems. So don’t get offended and follow the simple rules to protect yourself and others.
M. T.
Awesome staff that all very obviously have a great deal of experience. Techniques are taught clearly and practice is actively encouraged. Even though many classes are large and it would be totally understandable for the teacher not to get round to you, at fight factory they usually do so. Don't know why some people think that Luiz is rude he isn't at all, he just adds humour to the class and he tries to motivate people in what is a tough sport and sometimes people like me need a kick. The gym is very well stocked and most importantly clean, as they emphasise shoes off the matts. All the instructors I've worked with so far Luiz, Enrique and Nick are great and Helen at the front desk is most kind and helpful. For those who think it is hard to get to Old Street there is the option to train at Golders Green if you are in North London like me, but only for BJJ.
K. L.
Tried a few places with their free trial lessons before going to the London Fight Factory to try their beginner Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. In truth they weren’t on my short list but I decided to try it as my options were limited (within 30 mins from work). Tried the first lesson and was completely out of breath but now that I have continued training I am enjoying it more and more! I chose it because it had the right ‘culture’ for me.
Luiz is full of heart when he coaches people. It’s not about vanity when Luiz coaches you. He is trying to develop the team together, no one grows on their own, we all develop together.
Right culture, family atmosphere and plenty of training space: what more could you ask for!?
Come for a trial lesson in BJJ. No regrets!
D. L.
An awesome gym and very welcoming - I first visited LFF to work on a BJJ short doc I was shooting, Luiz and the team couldn't have made me feel more welcome. Since then I have relocated to London and continue to train BJJ at the gym.
The facilities are second to none and the standard of training is high. Luiz is a good guy who pushes everyone on the mats on a daily basis and is always bringing over World Champions and top BJJ players to help his students learn more and improve.
If you ever looking for a place in London to train I'd definitely recommend London Fight Factory, regardless of level there are classes that cater to everyone and the atmosphere is great.
B. A.
Been here for just over a year now, practising Muay Thai. Great atmosphere, you actually feel like you're learning a skillset. The coaches really motivate you to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and the other members of the gym go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
S. T.
Loved every session of boxing with coach Silviu , from the warm up to the drills , the energy , the push . The recent online zoom sessions for boxing during the lockdown was amazing too .
It could be a little intense for me at times but that’s how you grow and become stronger .
Nonetheless it’s always a good time . Good vibe and energy .
God bless & stay safe everyone .
S. I.
With anything In life, I think you've got to work hard to earn it and not expect it no matter your experience or level. That's what it is like at LFF and the instructors expect no less because they want you to be the best version of yourself. That's what makes it LLF and that's what makes the coaches great. These guys spend all day doing what they love ... not respecting that is rude...
TIP: Hygiene is a big deal here and they really take it seriously so don't ignore it. We roll around on the mats and the last thing we want is to have to stay off it!
Moreover, LFF is a great gym with good coaches (highly experienced and respected in the game) and helpful staff despite some hateful reviews. The BJJ coaches are highly experienced blackbelts who push you to the absolute limit because that's how you get the fight out of the fighter! They do it out of love and passion for their sport and to watch their students blossom.
Take this as a positive because it'll only help you. Patience and consistency are key to gaining anything including respect :)
Great team spirit, amazing and friendly assistant coaches and staff members.
M. A.
I quite liked the place, done about a month of wrestling there and saw a good diversity of skills, and the coaches were knowledgeable and led the classes well. There's also a decent gym but you gotta pay extra to use it. Was neglected as a newcomer - I have no problem with that but other people generally like special treatment. Showers and bathrooms were fine. Also, would've been nice to have a protein/snack/beverages stall but ya cant have it all - it's just something I'm personally used to.
The guy at the front desk (one of the bjj teachers i think) was pretty rude once. Honestly this is probably the worst encounter I've ever had with a member of staff of any organisation. Not sure why, it was my first time speaking to him and maybe he was in s bad spot today.
w.
The greatest place to train in London. I trained here for 4 years solid in boxing, muay thai and bjj before moving out of town. My only regret in leaving London in fact is leaving this great team. Luiz is a brilliant teacher and a very nice guy. I (and I'm sure 99% of the people that have trained at LFF) am taken aback by one of the reviews here saying he was treated poorly. There is no pleasing some people, I suppose. I doubt any other gym in London is friendlier and more supportive, whatever level you are.
S. T.
I've been a member for nearly 5 months now, and I wish I joined earlier. I'm mainly practicing muay thai, the instructor knows his stuff and we're in for a though hour every time mixed with technique drills, I see myself progressing every week. The staff/reception is always helpful and smiling, and the other more experienced members are very helpful and ego-less which makes it for a family like atmosphere, everyone's here to progress, and the competitive side is strong, really proud to be part of it
P. H.
Not going to lie, I was nervous the first time I came here. I had never trained martial arts before and didn’t know what to expect. I almost turned around halfway down the stairs and left. I’m very glad I didn’t. What did I find? A professional training environment run to high standards, with welcoming coaches and fellow students. MMA coach Jeremy is a badass - he is passionate, very knowledgeable, great at explaining things and holds you to the highest standards, while also being kind and funny. This is a very good place. You have to trust your instincts and the vibe here feels right. There is no reason not to get involved.
PS. If you do something stupid or don’t try hard enough you might get shouted at, but this comes from a place of passion and caring about students and the facilities. Ultimately you are learning to fight so it’s not all going to be smiles and hugs.
T. G.
Been training MMA here for 8 months in Jeremy's class and absolutely love it! Great atmosphere, great people who are there to help you progress and answer every question. All students are encouraged to cheer on fellow teammates when they are representing the club in fights across London and the UK. Unfortunately I'm leaving the country but this place will be sorely missed. Thanks for giving me my start guys.

London Fight Factory is amazing! I was skeptical at first as it was my first ever time stepping afoot into a martial arts gym. One of the best decisions I've made in my life. I joined LFF late September 2016 and it's been my second-home ever since. I regularly train Muay Thai here and Coach Aaron is literally the most compassionate, knowledgeable and coolest coach I've stumbled across. He will improve your skills, fitness and knowledge very quickly.
Coach Aaron will push you hard, but more importantly, thrives to improve and support you. Beginner or experienced, Aaron is able to cater to you no matter what skill level you are at. Needless to say, London Fight Factory has become a big part of my life and a second family to me.
Just remember, no feet off the mats! Can't stress this enough.
Oy-oy!

LFF is mostly known as a BJJ gym (and the quality of the training is really excellent with lots of different level classes and loads of visiting black belts!) but anyone looking for a boxing class should also check it out! The coach Silviu is VERY experienced and the class is really well structured with a good warmup, specific individual and pairs drills, bag work and sparring. There's a lot of emphasis on correct technique ("boxing is not brawling!") and it caters for everyone from complete beginners to the more advanced. There's also a good mix of men and women and if you don't have your own kit they have boxing gloves you can use (but they smell, so if you train regularly you'll want to get your own..).
In addition to the scheduled classes some of the coaches also teach private lessons - you don't have to be experienced to get the most out of these, I recently treated my (very unsporty) dad to a one-to-one strength and conditioning session with the perpetually-cheerful MMA coach Jeremy, who managed to tailor the session perfectly to his (limited!) abilities!
Overall, what sets this gym apart is the camaraderie between everyone that attends - and the way that all the coaches will go out of their way to help you if you really want to learn. Just don't step off the mats without your shoes on!
N. M.
LFF is awesome. The club has had profound impact on my life on many levels. There is a such a diverse array of members, all with a positive mindset. The moment I walk in, the support from the team allows me to not just to become a better version of myself, but to exceed my own expectations. Plus I've made some really cool friends. Training here is f*****g incredible.
D. R.
Staff are very friendly, communication is great when organising trial sessions and membership options. There is a lot of flexibility with membership! Great for all levels of experience.

Amazing gym with a lot of experienced coaches.... who deeply cares about your growth in BJJ, MMA, Wrestling, Boxing and Muay thai. Who are also willing to selflessly give their time out to show certain stuff that you might have missed or didn’t understand........
Also a welcoming receptionist, who’s always listening to everyones needs and give clear information on everything thats taking place at the gym on a day to day......
100% recommend this place to anyone who loves to train and learn something new.......

Hi,
Never written a review before, but can see how it would be useful when picking a place to train, as people would have some apprehension in starting something like this, so thought I would give some feedback. Also it is a little slow in work today and I have the time :)
After one too many Joe Rogan podcasts I googled BJJ Gyms close by and found the Fight Factory, which is very conveniently located near Old Street Station. I went there on a Thursday evening and paid £15 for a single class to check it out. I actually think you can get the first class for free if you register ahead of time, but I hadn’t and really it is £15 so more than affordable.
The beginning of the classes usually consist of 15/20 mins of fitness work and core bjj techniques. My level of fitness is pretty bad so I find this part especially tough but it is not as bad as it may seem. The coach always selects a very able person to lead the sets, that way you stop when that person reaches the targeted number of reps and most other people would have done less by comparison. What is crucially important however is that you try hard and don’t stop trying. Slow down but don’t stop. That seems to be the coach’s ethos and I think it is easy to see how, when implemented, it would lead to every student continuing to push themselves and to progress.
As far as the focussed BJJ teaching is concerned, the coach demonstrates the techniques with his assistants, breaking them down to a step by step format with odd little descriptions so that they stick in your mind. After every repeated demonstration he asks if anyone wants to see it again, which someone inevitably does, and then he repeats it one more time and then asks you to partner up, by which you tap the person closest to you and they are always cool to work with you, and then you try the technique for a set time.
That is pretty much how the classes work, but here are some additional tips for first time students.
1. Bring flip flops. Don’t wear them on the mats and step into them when leaving the mats, as the moment you step barefoot on the floor, then you can’t come back on.
2. Once the demo has finished and it is your turn to do the techniques, direct any question you may have to the assistant coaches and not to the head coach.
3. Bring water, but when the class starts don’t go and have a sip until the coach tells everyone to go for a drink.
I joined the gym around 4 months ago now and am yet to have anyone in there be unpleasant or rude, in fact the other students are always more than helpful. I only do BJJ so can’t testify to the other classes, but I recommended the place to a friend who has since joined the Muay Thai class and he is very happy with it.
Apologies for the length of the review, I am a writer and my work is always in need of editing, but I hope you found the information useful.

LFF has created an incredible community within its walls, that stretches way beyond. I met some of my closest friends here, and have travelled across the world with them for the sport we love. The lessons instilled in me through martial arts have benefited my life outside the gym, largely thanks to the high-level coaching and mentorship I've found here. Oss!
J. A.
I trained here recently after working in London whilst on a business trip from NYC. I train in Vitor Shaolin near Times Square and didn’t want to miss out on daily training!
Firstly Luis is a great coach - only if you like being pushed and challenged every single day! If you want a slow paced gym where you don’t get challenged with technique and don’t get competitive rolls every round - this is not for you. !
Class structures combine of warm up with technical drills - then onto various variations of the technique - during my week we were working single leg X (which I am horrible at!) then onto technical sparring rolling with the position and finally onto normal rounds!
I’m a competitive purple belt and I had some great rolls! With all levels they have all weights and belts covered! I’m heavy...!
I can’t wait to go back. If you want to improve your BJJ and get a clean gym! With three showers !!! Yes showers are low in NYC... this is the place!
Thanks Luis! 🙏

Been attending BJJ sessions here for 5+ months. Just wish I'd started here sooner. It really is an excellent place to train/learn. Very friendly atmosphere. Coaches are very helpful/encouraging.
C. O.
really nice place, good enviroment. Really nice coach, the stuff are great. The guy at the reception is the nicest one, well informed and helpful, Vado!
the owners are super friendly, Luiz the BJJ head coach gives extra attention for the beginners.
I don't live in London but visit here very often and must have to pass by to train with them
g. s.
I unfortunatelly could only stay two days on a business trip, gut the BJJ classes that I went to were excellent. The academy is super clean and the training was well structured. Everybody was very friendly - sometimes quite direct, which for BJJ I would consider a big plus. I would certainly come again on my next trip.
D. B.
Great environment! Bjj class had a great teacher there shouting to push everyone and he really made sure everyone worked very hard while staying safe at the same time. I have been to a few bootcamp classes before and this is the same principle. I haven’t tried Muay Thai yet, but it looked like there was enough room and equipment and the teacher sounds knowledgable. Recommend!

I joined London Fight Factory to study BJJ about two and a half years ago, and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made.
For a start, it’s a full-time gym with 18 BJJ classes every week, plus other classes in Muay Thai, Boxing, Freestyle Wrestling, Sambo, Judo, MMA, Strength and Conditioning, and Yoga.
I’m there to learn BJJ so I’ve trained under the head BJJ teacher, Luiz, for a few years now, and I’ve found him to be nothing but helpful and encouraging. I’ve certainly never found him to be the smack-talking maniac mentioned in another post on here. And I don’t think many other students would have stuck around for very long if he was.
I’ve also turned up to classes to find the likes of visiting champions such as Braulio Estima and Michelle Nicolini are teaching. This week, I arrived on Monday night and Jackson Souza was running classes. If you go elsewhere, you’d pay a fortune in additional fees to spend time on the mat with people of this calibre. Here, you don’t.
Previously, I’ve trained in boxing gyms and I still study a Korean martial art at a traditional school, where I’ve trained for 12 years. So, although I’d never claim to have extensive knowledge of the martial arts community, I have been around a bit.
And London Fight Factory is a fabulous gym, run by a great coach, who’s supported by knowledgeable and committed instructors. I’ve also found it to be a friendly and supportive learning environment that fosters a real family ethos.
It’s excellent. Give it a go!

The online Zoom boxing classes during the lockdown have been excellent - coach Silviu has made the best out of the situation with his numerous technique-focused drills and has been very attentive to every participant regardless of the level. 6/5 stars

I've been training at LFF for about a year now i can honestly say it has dramatically changed my life. The first class i ever attended was the boxing class and have since tried every single class at the establishment. They all have a few things in common.
Passionate coaches (that actually care about your progress)
Friendly atmosphere (everyone helps each other out)
High standards of teaching (no class is the same. Always left with the feeling of taking in something new or amending something you have maybe been doing wrong)
And the list goes on.
I fell in love with this gym from the moment I arrived. Every coach has there own style and uniqueness. If you are interested in martial arts and want to push yourself then this is the place to be. If you have just moved to london and have been doing martial arts your whole life, this is the place to be.
The vibe in the gym is amazing. You could be having the worst day of your life and all it takes is a visit to lff to cheer you up and push you back up to your feet.
Fun fact i went from being 97kg in april 2016 to 74kg august 2016. And i dont even care about the weight loss it was just a bonus to the skills that i have acquired. A set of specific skills (liam neeson kinda skills 😉😂)
Jokes aside would highly recommend this gym to anyone. Come along, join the team have fun, work hard, make friends and invest in yourself. Please dont step on the mat with your shoes though, i have sensitive skin.
Last thing but most importantly
Thank you london fight factory ☝️🏽
I really do have sensitive skin.

I had the pleasure to meet Luiz in January of 2008. I was a Muay Thai practitioner who had just arrived in London for a post grad course and typed on google for a gym to train.
LFF showed up in the list and although it was about 1:30 hour from my place (i lived in hammersmith and LFF was near Brick lane in an old with no central heat factory building) i decided to go check.
I started training MT there with a very nice and technical british gentlemen but one day as i was there doing nothing Luiz asked me if i could help him with a private class as he needed an assistant to help showing the techniques. He gave me a GI and although i was a Brazilian and had trained NO GI before back home (Luta Livre) it was my first time in a proper BJJ training. I felt in love and started to dedicate my self to it almost full time. Luiz is an old school man, who likes to train hard and like to see that his students are training hard. He pushes you to your limits and thats how i found out that my limits were far more than what i ever imagine they could be.
One thing that i admire in him is that he pursuit his dreams and make you understand that if you want to you can also pursuit and reach yours ! He leads by example and till tdy when we meet in the tournaments over the world i cannot get tired of thanking him for those times i had with him in the LFF mat.
NOw here I am in 2014, 7 years after i started as a rebel white belt, proud to have earned my Black belt and when i look back those days i few no regrets for accepting his invitation back that cold and grey british afternoon.
So if you want a MacDojo for a easy life training to take pictures in a gy and show to your friends at FB, thats really not the place for you. But if you want to learn proper Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, know more about yourself, about respect and brotherhood and discover what is your real strength thats the place to be.
Pay him a visit, don't be afraid, he looks though from outside but his heart is one of the best i know in the BJJ community.
Respect, Oss !
E. A.
I've been training at LFF for nearly three years. Training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of the toughest but also one of the most rewarding things I've ever done and London Fight Factory is a great place to learn, with expert coaching and a constant stream of world-class BJJ talent coming to teach for weeks at a time.
BJJ black belt Luiz is a great coach. Let's not sugarcoat it, when you first arrive he can be a bit intimidating - he's often extremely 'passionate' and extremely vocal. But once you've done a few classes you realise that he's constantly pushing you to achieve your potential. Sometimes that means giving you a kick up the backside when you feel like quitting. He puts a lot of time and effort into helping his students improve and there's no-one more pleased when they do well in competition - or put 100% into having a go.
The facilities are great, with a huge range of classes from wrestling and muay thai to strength and conditioning classes and even yoga - so you can try different things out and see if they suit you. There's also a well-equipped weights area designed for strength training and building functional cardio.
If you're looking to sit on an exercise bike with a personal trainer stroking your ego, this isn't the right place for you. But if you're looking to find confidence, self-discipline and a sense of camaraderie with cool guys and girls then we'll see you on the mats.
Also you'll end up looking like Brad Pitt in Fight Club from the neck down - which is nice.
H. B.
Fantastic martial arts academy with excellent facilities and high level coaching. Currently home to some top competitors and the coach, Luiz (an active competitor himself), spares no expense to bring the world's best athletes for seminars and training camps.
It is not only a great place to learn a range of disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo and Muay Thai, but a place to meet new people from all walks of life, make friends and improve your well-being as a whole. It may sound a little cliched, but it is a place that could very well change your life.
Do bear in mind that this is not a conventional gym so don't expect any frills. Just follow the (very simple) rules and etiquette, give your all and embrace the grind.
J. A.
The best gym in UK with excellent coaches, who are always available and willing to help you with any skills. If you’re a fighter and looking for a MMA gym or BJJ, you won’t regret joining this awesome gym.
C. S.
Absolutely brilliant. The coaches are highly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the arts they teach, all topped off with a very friendly(and funny) atmosphere.
No matter if you are a pro, an amateur or just a martial arts enthusiast, here you will find what you need. Strongly recommended.

I initially started doing Muay Thai and BJJ classes at LFF, as I wanted to improve my conditioning. 2 years later and I'm still there, training as often as I can, with the goal of continually improving as a martial artist. I now just train BJJ which is done under the supervision of our head coach and instructor Luiz. We're also lucky enough to have some incredibly high level BJJ black belts come and teach, often for weeks or months at a time - Terere, Michelle Nicolini, Leon Amancio to name but a few. It's the BJJ equivalent of having Ronaldo, Beckham and Bale turn up to train with your football team! The gym has a great atmosphere and is close knit and supportive - I'm out injured at the moment, but still go in to hangout and pick up stuff from the classes. The training can be tough and I wouldn't pretend otherwise, both technically and physically and there have been times when I've had my ear chewed off, but this has never been done in a way which has been vindictive and being pushed has only helped me improve. LFF has become my second home in London, with a bunch of great friends, fantastic instructors and it's ignited in me a passion I never new I had and for that I'm eternally grateful.
T. G. I. L. M. a. S.
Excellent club with really skilled teachers (extremely skilled). I have only trained in BJJ, Sambo and Boxing where I can guarantee that the teachers "know their stuff" but I guess the others instructors are equally competent. The club is really clean and got a really friendly atmosphere. There is always another more skilled student willing to help you even if you are completely new.
It should only take a few minutes through your first session to understand the concept behind the name of the club. During the session, there is no pampering, no cuddling, no tea, no coffee, no popcorn... not even any place to hide, it is just pure sweat, at least for me. The fighting in the name is actually the warning, lol. You are warned to be ready to train like a fighter even if like me, you are a "Peace and Love, everyone should love everyone" kind of person :-)
Saying that, if you really miss the softness and politeness of gentle sports like golf, darts or tennis, you can always glance at the reception where the lady there always got s big smile on her face. Or simply wait for the end of the session where you can laugh with others feeling exactly like you: tired, happy and proud to be there, waiting for the next session.
Peace,
Tevin
P. J.
For some reasons I found myself reading some of these reviews this morning so I thought I'd write my own. I've been training at LFF for about 4 years now so I think I can provide somewhat of an experience view.
So, firstly, if you're looking for a gym where you don't want the instructors to shout abuse at you, don't want to get pushed to the point where you feel like crying (sometimes) or want amazing customer service where the customer is always right...this in not the place for you!! (sorry Helen).
If you're doing boxing or MMA you will get punched in the face and it will hurt. If you're doing muay thai expect to have sore shins. If you're doing wrestling expect to be taken down hard. Most importantly, if you're doing BJJ expect to get sworn at...a lot.
However, having said all that, if you're looking for a gym with top level knowledgeable coaches who compete at the highest level of their sport then this might be the place for you. If you're looking to get pushed, improve your fitness and learn new skills then LFF it the place. Making that walk down those stairs will improve you as a martial artist and a person.
Don't come down the first day and expect to be given a hug, its a martial arts gym not your local peace and love society. New people come and go from the gym all the time so everyone is not going to trying to be your best friend on your first day. But, if you stick with it, show passion for your art and remember to keep your shoes on when off the mats and no shoes when on the mats, you may be like me and find yourself with a extended family who will always be there to support you, follow you around the world to corner you and maybe help you to become a champion.
T. D.
This gym is one of London’s gems. It is spacious, clean and well equipped with a friendly old skool vibe and camaraderie, alongside world class instruction in a wide range of fighting arts. The ethos of LFF is collective effort and teamwork, embodied by the owner Luiz Ribeiro (aka Manxinha): a charismatic teacher with a big heart who genuinely cares about his students and who, in turn, is revered by them. Training is intense and there is a strong culture of helping (and looking out for) one another. If you are prepared to leave some sweat on the mat, you will leave each session with a smile on your face and a sense of achievement. I have been coming to classes for three months and if I have one regret then it is that I didn’t know about this place years ago.
G. K.
Excellent zoom boxing classes with a great coach - Silviu - who manages to teach top boxing skills whilst watching loads of different clients on the screen. Highly recommended.
N. I.
Incredibly friendly gym and I love training here.
It should be noted that this gym takes health and safety very seriously. For example, if you show up to class with nails that are too long, you will be asked to clip them (there's a clipper for you to use), and, should you refuse that, you will be asked to leave. Recently there was an Iranian kid who had quite long nails and ended up giving me quite a nasty gash; he was subsequently asked by one of the coaches to clip his nails and it all ended up somehow in misunderstanding and a bad review which can be found here.
I can go on about other examples - just remember that if you don't take care of your team mates by respecting these basic rules someone will step in an enforce them. Which everyone should want happening.
Train hard. Clip your nails. Come be part of the LFF family.
D. B.
Guys have been doing BJJ Zoom classes for us pretty much since the beginning of lockdown and I must say they are doing an incredible job!
It takes a lot of dedication and love (and improvising and imaginary opponents,..) but all the classes have been amazing and I have really enjoyed every single one of them. Oss!
C.
After trying out different MMA clubs in London I can say I have found a home at LFF. Regardless of your skill level you are bound to learn new stuff with Jeremy in the MMA classes and finish the class gassed out! Definitely a place to check out if you are trying to compete or just get in shape, Jeremy is a dedicated coach and fighter and it really shows when he teaches. You won't be disappointed!
N. O.
Have been taking BJJ at LFF for a year now and can't say enough good things about it. Luis is a great coach with a unique way of explaining techniques and concepts ...if you are listening.
If you miss one bus another will come!

I joined London Fight Factory after moving to London from America. I work in Central London and one of the immediate benefits is the proximity from work to the gym. I mostly train the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes under Professor Luiz Manxinha Ribeiro. Coach Manxiha is a good person and the type of coach who tries to bring the best out of you on and off the mat. The team has welcomed me with hard training and sparring sessions. I have made good friends, glad to be here and continuing to grow as a martial artist.
LFF is always bringing the best in the world to help improve its students, I have trained with and met Leo Viera, Buchecha, Terere, Jackson Sousa, Michelle Nicolini, Braulio Estima, JT Torres, Caio Terra, Leandro Martins, Leon Amanico and Anderson Silva. Always training with such high level has helped me get into incredible shape and win a lot of London and International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions. I recommend it for anyone visiting or living in London. LFF has a good MMA, BJJ, Muy Thai, Boxing, Sambo, Judo and wrestling program.
J. J.
I'd give it 10 if I could! If you're reading negative comments about their staff, please ignore. These were written by people who are more fit to go for an afternoon tea with their auntie rather than consistent, hard work.
LFF is changing my life in so many ways!
All instructors, and I do Muay Thai and BJJ, are professional. Everyone is treated with respect and respect for the space is expected too (e.g. no shoes on the mats) but that's a no brainer.. would you keep your shoes on at home?
If you want to improve your fitness and / or get into Martial Arts for real, there is not better place really as you not only need to push yourself to the limits, you need someone else to push you too and this is why you will be expected to follow the instructions and give it 100%, but that's the beauty of it. I can ensure you you will leave every training with a HUGE smile on your face. And you will start clearing your calendar to fit in more classes. OSSS X
D. T.
Muay Thai sessions with the trainer Aaron are immense. I've been training @ LFF for 5 months now and the gains have come fast from the drills and sparring! Highly recommend joining.
E. F.
I travel across London to train here as Aaron is a really great coach and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. You're encouraged to train hard and you learn a lot. Can't recommend it enough.
W. H.
I'm a 1st degree ralph gracie black belt and one of my students Luis Gil started training here when he moved overseas. Since then he was won multiple championships including becoming the European Brown Belt Champion. The training is excellent. If any of my other students were moving to London I would not hesitate to send them here.
A. K.
Good gym. Great for BJJ & boxing. Wrestling classes are 3 stars, would be the best in london if they tought different technics at least every week, wherease, they teach only leg attack every year, but good for sparring. 4 stars for muathai. The location is perfect.
S. C. C.
I've never been there but LFF looks great.
I also keep re-posting the negative review I wrote over three years' ago but I have no idea why.
Look after yourselves everyone! ❤️
M. C.
Great Gym, trainee under Luiz since the old gym in Aldgate. Took a few years off for health reasons.
See a few bad reviews here, more than likely from soft eejits who want to be carried through every lesson and be patted on the back for everything little thing they do.
Work hard, do as the instructors say, leave the attitude at the door, bring flip flops and for heavens sake keep shoes off the mats!
Osss!
G. D.
I have been training BJJ at with London Fight Factory since 2009 and Luiz is a great guy! If it weren’t for him, I probably wouldn’t have stuck to BJJ and enjoyed it as much. Make no mistake, it is no easy ride at London Fight Factory and Luiz will push you pass your limits and make you mentally and physical stronger as a person.
A. K.
I've been training here for over a year and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming with brilliant coaches who care about your safety on and off the mats. It's a great place to train as a women as there are a lot of us!
Y. D.
I have been training Jiu Jitsu and MMA here for close to 2 years. Signing up at LFF was one of the best decisions of my life. Highly recommended.
S. K.
Good GYM, Muay Thai Session were good balance between technique and Sparing, 1:30 Session would be difficult if you've never done Muay Thai but it was a Mixed Session so i did not mind, Staff knew what he was talking about and seem'ed really friendly;
Over all: Will defiantly be Joining soon, Had a great time!

I first entered London Fight Factory as part of my fledgling explorations in the slowly dying art of British manufacturing. I quickly realised upon entering that this was not a factory. There didn’t appear to be any conveyor belts, hordes of dissatisfied workers with glazed over expressions checking the latest run of stock, heavy industrial machinery or burly foremen bellowing assembly instructions. However, there did appear to be a conveyor belt of strapping young athletes practising a variety of martial arts, hordes of satisfied sportsmen and sportswomen with hungry eyes honing their skills, more-than-satisfactory gym machinery and several burly instructors bellowing disassembly instructions. So, instead of pursuing a burgeoning career in manufacturing, I thought this seemed a sensible place to continue my fledgling explorations in the rapidly expanding art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
One thing that impressed me fairly early on was that the head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Luiz noticed that I am in fact the reincarnation of the late American comedian Jerry Lewis. None of my family or friends had noticed this despite them having known me for some time (in the case of my parents, around twenty eight and a half years). There were clear similarities that my family and friends should have noticed: the obvious good looks, my nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, my involvement with the French New Wave movement in cinema, my irrefutable aptitude for comedy of all kinds. Luiz, as well as being a great Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor, is also very good at recognising clones of well-known comedians from the second half of the twentieth century. He has also spotted some other reincarnations and clones who train at our humble gym: Will Smith, Anderson Silva, Eddie Bravo, James Bond and more besides. Though it is undoubtedly strange that clones do indeed walk the earth, and only in this corner of East London, I think overall this reflects favourably on Luiz as both a good judge of character and of physical resemblance. Not only that, I very much appreciate his continued attempts to persuade my mother to change the details on my birth certificate to show my true identity.
There are other positive things to draw attention to at London Fight Factory. The receptionist-cum-manager Helen is truly the Helen of Troy of Customer Service; an incomparable figure whose customer service skills could launch a thousand direct debits. Aside from the fact that there are occasionally no pens available and Helen makes me sign in with my own blood, my experiences in the reception sphere at our noble gymnasium have always soared high above those you might encounter at flimsy rival competitors.
You may think from the above comments that I have been put up to this; you may think that this land of milk and honey outlined in such vivid prose above is but a figment of some deluded reincarnated American comic’s imagination. You would be sadly wrong. This may not be a hub of British manufacturing. But it is an excellent place to train in a variety of martial arts, with friendly instructors and a great sense of community. Recommend.

I started going out of plain boredom and to get some adrenaline out, to try something different. I joined on the twice a week, basic membership, to do some thai boxing. Three months down the line, after being encouraged by Luiz (head coach and owner) to try a BJJ class (which I wasn't keen on but I thought I'd give it a go), I upgraded to be able to go every day and it has been my home away from home ever since. No, really.
Bit of advice tho -
1. It is fairly addictive. I thought, oh ok I will go for a couple of times a week and see how it goes... truth is, most of the time, I think once you're in, you're in. A blend of great classes, great people, great vibe, and fitness levels rocketing up like crazy seem to have that effect.
2. You might wanna leave your ego at the door. You might get shouted at - though it is never made to feel personal, in my opinion - and specially to start with, you won't always get it right, and some things take long to click and there's loads to learn. It is not always easy but it it always worth it.
All in all, joining this place is one of the best decisions I ever made in every level, and I found a passion for a sport like I never did before, and amazing friends inside the matt and out of it. Just a shame I can't give it 6 stars :)
J. P.
Great coaches, great atmosphere, great bunch of people on and off the mats. have trained at lots of other MMA gyms in the UK and US and would definitely recommend LFF.
K. W.
Been training here for 6 months now and its the best thing Iv'e ever done. Quality coaches and a great team. Ignore some of the stupid recent reviews with people moaning cos they were told to do something. some people have obviously never trained in a proper gym before.
A. O.
Best place to train in London. Luiz is a LEGEND! He likes everyone he is training despite people's perception of him bein rude. He gives every body a name! Very friendly! I have known him since 2008 and anybody who sats that Luiz is rude doesn't know him. LFF good facilities. Good coaches what do you ask more? The price hasn't changed since 2008! Call him greedy? There's a nany mentality nowadays in this country that you cannot say booo to a cat anymore. Grow up. Aggressive? Go to Japanese dojos! Tx ALBERTO ROBERTO

Great academy and instructors. Had no previous martial arts experience and was nervous to start but am learning a lot. I tried a lot of different clubs but really like the environment here.
