Stefan's lessons are the best iv ever had and changed my life. As a bass player and guitarist, his lessons have transformed the way I play and understand music. His website isn't just hype. He means every word when he says he is passionate about his students and his teaching. Lessons are a joy and by far the favourite dates on my calendar. You don't just come away playing better, you feel better as a musician. He is the best guitarist iv ever met, but more than that he is a terrific mentor and person who tailors the lessons to YOU. I can't overstate how choosing to go with Stefan was one of the best decisions iv ever made. You can't go wrong here. Invest in yourself, I guarantee you wont regret it. 5 stars isn't enough!

Very good lessons with James! He takes the time to explain everything and demonstrates it well. Really happy with the classes

Stefan is, without a doubt, the best guitar teacher in the world.
After years of kicking the tyre on of my passion for music, I decided to take musical learning seriously and landed on Stefan's school.
I cannot believe the progress I've made since starting weekly lessons with Stefan 9 months ago. At the time of my first lesson, I knew how to play the open chords, some bar chords, and a few chord progressions. At the time of writing, I know my way around the entire fret board including the minor pentatonic (& blues pentatonic), tons of super cool blues licks, all of the modes, and have a growing understanding of music theory. I can play the Hotel California solo, and am close to being able to completely play the solo of Sweet Child O' Mine.
Although I practise a lot, this progress is thanks to Stefan's world-class mastery of both music and teaching. He is a kind, passionate and thorough teacher that will enable, and inspire, you to become the amazing musician you always wanted to be.
One of a kind - do not miss out on the opportunity to learn from a true master.
Enjoy!

Learning classical guitar with Josh has been an absolutely enjoyable experience. He is encouraging, professional, and is always willing to give useful advices on how to practice effectively and improve my techniques. I’m a complete beginner and Josh has steered me in the right direction and helped me to grasp the basic essentials of the instrument and music. Online sessions are fun, but I’m looking forward to having face-to-face lessons (hopefully) in the near future!

I haven’t been attending lessons for long but so far my experience has been very positive. I was hesitant to start guitar lessons because I felt it was embarrassing for an adult to take lessons this late in life. But my teacher was very good at making me feel at ease and relaxed. The teachers are very supportive and knowledgeable. I have already learned so much that I didn’t know before. I am looking forward to my future lessons.

I have discovered the London Guitar Institute a year and a half ago and it has been a total game changer for my guitar learning. I had followed the school of Youtube and had met the occasional guitar teacher but it is only through the London Guitar Institute that I have started to make real progress. They are incredibly professional and while teaching all the harder funding blocks of guitar playing manage to infuse a sense of fun and playfulness. What they teach is not just to play pieces of music but to develop independence to free oneself to be able to improvise and understand how to make, read and play music!

Great teacher, I'm absolutely satisfied and would recommend.

I had hit a ceiling because I had no idea what to work on, hadn’t previously had lessons but had played for a long time. My teacher (Josh) was able to quickly identify problem areas, suggest new technical development avenues and call out themes in the pieces I was playing to bring new pieces to the table. I particularly enjoy that Josh doesn’t aim to enforce the “right” way to play a piece but rather encourages you to explore different approaches alongside.
I’m improving because my practise is more efficient, happy with what I’m working on and my teacher is a thoroughly nice bloke. As a school they’re also comfortably relaxed about the admin side, but did take appropriate pandemic measures.
Sadly they can’t force you to stop procrastinating and actually get on with the homework...

Just starting out on learning the guitar and have to say the London Guitar Institute has been great. Having an in person lesson has been so helpful and I feel I'm consolidating my progress more than just by using FenderPlay and JustinGuitar - which I am using to suppliment my lessons. Getting the lessons set up was super-efficient and my tutor is fab - so what can I say!? If you want to learn the guitar - this is a great option.

Excellent Tuition! Josh is a great teacher who takes the time to really understand where you look to improve and tailors his approach to meet your needs.

I'm here because my bass player suggested I should get lessons! No wait, hear me out. He was saying that I deserved to be the best I could be, and he googled for a bit and found the LGI. You can't beat playing in a band for improving yourself, but if you want to take it to the next level and YouTube isn't quite doing it, then give this a try. It's rare to see such talent, professionalism, knowledge and ability to teach in this combination. Thanks Stefan, I may not be Steve Vai or Jimmy Page but I'm definitely feeling like I understand the instrument, the theory, technique; so much better, and I can see that coming out when I'm improvising, either at home or on stage. Sometimes it feels like someone else just played that awesome lick. Oh, the patience is admirable too, when I fumble through Paganini. :-)

Great communication, and clear ideas on how to progress by linking theory to the practical to embed the understanding.

I have been taking lessons with Stefan for a few months now. He is an excellent teacher and really cares about his students and helps them excel. He is patient and caring, extremely professional and he has a huge passion for music and knows how to play all different styles of music. He has always a positive attitude and a smiling face and each lesson turns out to be so much fun.
He asks you what you want to learn and tailors his lessons and recommendations to what you can do, based on your level of experience and how much time you have to practice, and he totally understands if you are out of practice and if you're busy like me, which is very much appreciated. His studio is just beautiful, with breathtaking views of the City and a comfortable set-up which makes it ideal for both one-to-one and group lessons. Highly recommended!!

Having been frustrated by the progress I was making on the guitar as a self taught, I was looking for a guitar teacher to help me improve my guitar skills. I couldn't have found a better teacher. Stefan is really talented and has a wealth of experience on the guitar and knows how to share it. He helps me understand the guitar and develop a good ear and feel for music. Everyday I am happy with the progress I am making. I am very impressed with his style of teaching and would recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their guitar skills.

I am very lucky to have found an accomplished and passionate guitar teacher. The lessons are very well structured with the aim to get you to the next levels of confidence and improvement with the guitar. Stefan is always patient, informative and has a creative and fun way of teaching the guitar techniques which helped me to gain a clear understanding. The lessons are held in a clean and quiet setting and the location is very easy to get to with close transport links in central London.
I always look forward to the guitar lesson with Stefan and if you are looking for an informative, experienced guitar teacher I do highly recommend contacting Stefan!

Stefan is an amazing teacher.. very talented and very patient. I am an absolute beginner but he has steered me in the right direction and also helped me pick the right kind of guitar. I look up to him as a teacher. The classes are held in a very convenient location.... very easily accessible right in the heart of the city . Stefan also does lessons on skype.. which I am totally looking forward too at the moment.
