My son has completed the ‘Film Music’ and ‘Music in a Time Machine’ courses. He really loved both. They were engaging, interesting and carried on lots of future conversations at home. Lovely teachers too. As a parent I feel incredibly lucky for my son to have received such a fantastic standard of lesson. This lesson being offered for free is an amazing opportunity to not be missed. I think Lycaeum Music’s ethos is amazing and I am very proud to say that we have been a part of it. As a violin/singing/theory music tutor I really enjoy working at Lycaeum Music. It's the best school ever! School works online and offline at affordable prices. You can find any instrument tutor you're interested in. We also prepare students for different exams. It doesn't matter whether you're 5 years old or 50. We're open to everyone and everyone can be taught at any age! Our school conducts interesting and encouraging concerts for our students, group workshops, online courses for kids and different presentations. We're looking forward to having lessons with you!

I am a tutor myself. Ever since I started running my own tutoring business in 2021 I have detached from every agency / school I've worked with APART from Lycaeum! The reason for that is because the level of care Lycaeum brings to not only clients, but staff and community is truly outstanding. It has been such a pleasure to get to know Lycaeum Music and all they do to spread the joy of music. Our children take piano and violin lessons at home, and they are progressing nicely. I appreciate the flexibility of scheduling the lessons directly with the teacher as well. We also participated in the concert recently, and it was such a delight! It was nothing like we had experienced before. All the children seemed to really enjoy performing, and the teachers gave a lovely performance, as well as some fun comedy sketches. We enrolled our 7 year old daughter for grade 2 theory online sessions and they are simply great! We had struggled for a great amount of time to get good coaching specially for ABRSM theory. The coach clears all the basic concepts which are really needed for clearing the ABRSM grade exams. I highly recommend Lycaeum Music and looking forth for more music theory lessons for Higher grades too.

I came across Lycaeum Music during lockdown and really didn't expect to find a hobby in my mid 30s. I've always had the fantasy of being able to play the violin and 8 months in, I have to say I'm super impressed with my progress. Petru really took the time to understand my concerns and my goals, as well as my work/life commitments during our initial phone "consultation", I really appreciated that. I was then paired with my fantastic teacher Andryi who is a professional musician and a PHD student. We meet weekly over Zoom and these 45 min weekly sessions are filled with undiluted joy. Andryi is a great communicator and he likes to challenge me, which I thought was quite cool. The more I played the more I realised this hobby was actually gonna stay. Andryi really helps me gather confidence too. I can really enjoy myself in this music bubble and shut out the rest of the world (software marketing, help me god!). I try to practice 30 mins to an hour a day, 6-7 days a week. If you check out the Facebook page you can see me playing Allegretto by Bond hahahah. If you are an adult beginner like me, or thinking to begin, I'd say have a chat with Petru. I'm sure learning to play an instrument as an adult will make your see yourself in a different way.

I'm really grateful for this company. I have 2 daughters learning with Lycaeum - a 12 year old on guitar and an 8 year old on piano. The tutorship for both of them is great. Both tutors are well selected for my children's abilities and personalities. One child is calm and determined, so the interesting choices of music pieces and passion from the tutor are well very appreciated. The other child is highly dramatic and a bit erratic, so we really appreciate the patience and flexibility of the tutor with the challenges of bridging the gap of online learning with younger children. Excellent value for money. Excellent communication.

I signed up my daughter for the online theory lessons. She thoroughly enjoyed them. The lessons are fun, educational and well structured. The teacher is doing an amazing job not only by keeping the children engaged and focused throughout the hour but also by encouraging each child to participate. My children have been having lessons with Lycaeum for a little over a year now, and I'm amazed how much they learnt in that short space of time, they've just finished their first exam‼ Music lessons are their favourite time of the week, and I could not recommend Lycaeum music more, both for the tutors, and the support we received getting through the exam process (which I won't deny was slightly daunting to me).

we have just enrolled our little one in virtual classes and she seems to be loving it had her second lesson, I thought at age 4 she would struggle to concentrate virtually but this has not been the case, the presentations are structured to be very exciting for little ones and just amazing , she is loving it. we also have a Piano instructor coming for private lessons which Lyca helped us find and sent us CV's and a few options, it was helpful and great service so far, looking forward to the 1 2 1 lessons and will review further then.

I enrolled my kids for the summer 2020 two week music on wheels programme. They had very little to no music experience prior to this. After two weeks, I can see a great improvement in their skills. It was amazing seeing them Perform at their concerts. I am very pleased with this and my kids have gained so much more than an introduction to music, they have also learnt how to be more dedicated to their goals and have improved on their self confidence, especially my 13 year old who is quite withdrawn and shy. This team was absolutely amazing, I can’t say that enough. The online lessons with Meg and Alexandra were quite engaging as well. I look forward to more opportunities with this group as this experience has piqued their interest in music.

My daughter recently took one of the online courses in music for film. She loved it and was hugely engaged. The teacher was brilliant with them- she discovered things - and terminology- about music and film that she perhaps wouldn’t have through school. (And I didn’t know any of it to teach her either!) My review below, which I have been itching to share. Firstly the idea of a free 6 week music course sounded unbelievable. I signed up and off it went. The depth of knowledge delivered by James and the style of delivery, absolutely fantastic. The interaction with the children was just right. Nothing complicated. We have had quite a few different music teachers over the years (Many who were great) starting out with classical piano lessons which went really well for some time, however my son being a teenager wasn’t interested in doing exams or learning to read music so much but more focused on learning to play the songs he chose and to be able to play by ear with the ability to improvise etc. Since signing up with Lycaeum my son’s piano playing has improved so much and he has developed his ear and skill to a great level with his more recent pieces being “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, “Hit the road Jack and Georgia” by Ray Charles and the theme tune from movie Monsters Inc, just for a laugh which is quite a challenging piece actually. His ambition is on point now, so much so that we never have to ask or worry about him not practicing, it’s really interesting that with his teacher Francisco he is so self motivated and driven to improve and push himself that he now wants to do a complicated classical peace by Chopin after learning a host of other genres such as rock, boogie woogie, jazz etc. It’s also incredible considering we’ve been locked down and lessons had to continue via Zoom so for him to have progressed so much, I honestly can’t recommend Lycaeum enough if you want to find a great music teacher, Lycaeum is a great find!
