Gabe is an amazing teacher! I've always wanted to play the piano but just never gotten around to doing it. I was a bit scared to start playing as an adult, but after only a couple of months of lessons I already feel a lot more confident and feel like I improved greatly. Gabe is very patient and amazing at explaining things. I believe that his way of teaching helps his students to become independent skilled musicians in the long term. Therefore couldn't recommend Gabe enough!!

I would highly recommend Gabe as a music teacher. I took up the guitar last year as a complete beginner having always wanted to play an instrument. Gabe is a very proficient and patient teacher who has given me the motivation to learn to play music. I am really enjoying our sessions and can see improvement week on week.

Gabe is a wonderful teacher. Over the past year he’s taught my daughter (who’s now 8) from scratch on the guitar and she now knows 10+ tunes after less than a year. I’m in my 40s and always wanted to play the guitar. I began in Jan 21 and can now play lots of great songs, including some of my absolute favourites. My daughter and I have done it all online and I can’t believe how much we’ve learnt. Gabe’s also more recently been teaching my husband piano in person at his studio and occasionally online. He always leaves every lesson exhilarated. Gabe is generous with his knowledge, listens to how and what you want to play and is so patient. So glad I found Gabe to help me get better at guitar. He integrates theory and technique, taking the complexity out of learning. If it wasn't for him I'd be playing the same old power chords. He's truly setting my fingers free. On top of being a great teacher, watching him play is always impressive!

I started learning piano as a complete beginner with Gabe just before the first lockdown. I’ve been putting it off for years, mostly because I was convinced I didn’t possess the coordination to play and I was too old now to learn to read music. Having Gabe as a teacher has completely overcome these insecurities and misconceptions. He is patient and tailors his classes to my pace and style of learning. He knows just when to keep me challenged but ensures I don’t lose faith and is very encouraging when I need it. I also appreciate Gabe’s approach to teaching musicality beyond simple scoresheets and the technical aspects of music. He is very knowledgeable and has real world experience about music and it’s origins, history and place in traditional and modern culture. Covid didn’t stop my progress either with Gabe being well set up technically for remote learning. I highly recommend Gabe to anyone who would like a brilliant music teacher!! 😊

I started piano lessons a few weeks ago after not having played for more than 20 years! I was so nervous to start again but I am learning so much more with Gabe than I have ever learnt. The construction of music and chords and how music fits together - not just reading the notes on a page. Loving it and am looking forward to being able to improvise on the piano as well as to just read music which is what we are working towards.
