I have been having 1-2-1 Spanish lessons with Sara for 3 months now and I have to say she is a fantastic teacher. Her lessons are always at the perfect pace and always fun and enjoyable. She is always happy and smiley but most importantly she is patient with me when I need to go over things. I feel like I have come such a long way in a relatively short period of time and I would definitely recommend learning Spanish with Sara.You couldn't ask for a better teacher!!

I can’t rate One-to-One Spanish highly enough! My tutor, Sara, makes lessons engaging and interesting. She creates teaching resources that really help me to broaden and deepen my speaking skills, vocabulary and my understanding of Spanish culture more generally. Lessons are very much focused on improving conversation skills and oral fluency and, thanks to this, I’m much more confident in using my Spanish in a range of situations when I go on holiday. What I love in particular is that Sara manages to make the lessons feel relaxed and natural - they are a casual conversation, exploring a range of topics, instead of rigid role-play exercises (which I know is what a lot of other Skype providers offer). Sara is very accommodating and tailors lessons to my interests and needs. She is flexible when it comes to scheduling classes, which is really helpful when fitting everything in during a busy week. If you’re thinking about taking Spanish lessons on Skype, then choose One-to-One Spanish!

Sara makes lessons fun and engaging. The best thing about one to one lessons is building confidence and familiarity speaking Spanish with 100% attention on your own progress. Some things are best learned with a tutor, especially the many nuances in Spanish grammar. I've made a lot of progress since starting lessons and every week we cover new and challenging material - fun exercises you wouldn't really do alone. It's no problem making mistakes - much better to try and have a laugh.

I took on the challenge of learning Spanish in August last year. I have been going to Spain 4-5 times a year for the last 5 years and I started feeling really frustrated for not being able to hold basic conversation in Spanish. I originally started with a language app and few course books on my own. After few months I felt I needed more structured help in terms of the grammar and, more importantly, to put my speaking into practise! I spent a few days researching schools in London. It is really difficult to choose wisely without any recommendation but I went with One-to-One Spanish as they had good reviews, had qualified teachers and offered good value package for over 40hrs. I have been having lessons with Sara Paredes and I could have not been happier with the choice of teacher. Sara has a fantastic approach, keeps you motivated and is very responsive to whatever goals you may have. She explains grammar really well, with good examples and plenty of useful exercises. She has diverse learning materials which makes lessons really interesting and enjoyable. She has the patience of an angel and helped me tremendously when my motivation was a bit down. She is a really lovely person. I would definitely recommend One-to-One and, if you are hesitating about teacher, definitely go with Sara.

Sara is a fantastic teacher, she has made it so easy and fun to learn Spanish. I really enjoy the lessons which is great as I usually find languages particularly difficult, but it’s been a great experience and I’m feeling confident already speaking with locals in Spain. Meeting her through Marino was also really simple, he got straight back to my enquires and set up a meeting with Sara over Skype. I find lessons over Skype are really effective as you do not loose any time. Sara shares her screen with me so we are always looking at the same activities! She writes notes all the way through the lesson for me to revise afterwards which makes my learning really effective! Loving it so far!!

I started my one-to-one Spanish classes on Skype few months ago and I cannot recommend it enough. I get tailored to my needs classes twice a week, and because it’s on Skype even when I travel I don’t miss any😊. The Skype technology works very well for me. My teacher shares her screen with me so that we can both follow the exercises. She is a top trained instructor who is also interested in delivering out of the box exercises, very visually engaging. I learn a lot of have fun with it😃 I am very satisfied with the classes and I’m going to continue my Spanish adventures on one-to-one basis. Highly recommended!

My sister and I were looking to take up another language and naturally Spanish was chosen. I must admit I was a bit sceptical about it as you read storyies about companies online, but I was completely wrong to ever have any doubts. I initially spoke to Marino, who provided me with a form to fill out for one to one Spanish to find out where my sister and I were at with our Spanish (which was very very basic) and quickly started up the process. The information we placed on the form was used to assign a tutor to meet our needs. My Sister and I have lessons with Sara, and I must say what a lovely young woman Sara is. Always happy to see us and speak to us, takes the time to find out what we did on the weekend, which is also a good way of practising conversational Spanish and most importantly adapts her style to suit our needs. I am really glad that my sister and I decided to do this as we have managed to find a great company such as one to one Spanish. I’ve had a great experience with Marino and his team so far. I’ve completed 100 hours of Spanish over the last couple of years and I’m very happy with my progress. Not only that I feel completely independent to communicate in Spanish while travelling in Spain, but I also enjoy having deeper conversations with a small group of friends. In the last few months I’ve been doing lessons over Skype with Sara (instead of face to face sessions). I find this way of learning efficient and convenient. Screen sharing works really well, Sara and I discuss materials that she shares on screen, and then she writes anything that needs additional clarifyication through Skype chat, which I can always go back to as Skype saves the chat’s history. It also means that I don’t need to carry any paperwork! So if you are looking to learn and improve your Spanish, I recommend giving them a go.

I can't recommend Marino highly enough. I started my lessons with him a few months ago after having unsuccessfuly tried various Spanish language schools and never quite finding the right course for my level and requirements. The advantage of having one to one lessons is that Marino tailors them around me so that they address my weaknesses and demands in a way that I get a maximum benefit from each session. Marino is great at communicating and explaining things and keeping the lessons interesting by mixing things up and coming up with topics that are varied and relevant to my interests. He also always encourages feedback and suggestions. I especially appreciate the flexibility that the lessons with Marino offer me. They are held at my offices which means that I save a lot of time on travel and if things ever get in the way he is always more than happy to reschedule to a more convenient time. All in all a great service and highly recommended.

If it wasn't for Marino and One-to-One Spanish, I would have given up learning long ago! I have an individual lesson by Skype every week with Marino and I have found this the perfect way to learn.Its amazing to me that we have never met in person. I have little free time and found Spanish courses up here in the North, very limited or inflexible or too far away. You can learn exactly what you want in the way that you want, its entirely flexible, plus to learn on a one-to-one basis means you learn what is relevant to you and not to the person next to you in a random group.I could not recommend them highly enough. Marino’s team is slick, well organised and professional. He quickly identified a tutor that would suit my developments needs. Alejandra (my tutor), tailored the lessons to my needs (I’m interested in South American Spanish) and was very patient with me. Lessons were thought out and covered scenarios that I was likely to find useful. Alejandra was always enthusiastic and that in turn made me want to learn faster and pick up phrases and vocabulary quicker. She also came up with different ways for me to pick up themes in the language so it wasn’t always going through the materials, we had games, videos, audio conversations and exercises. I highly recommend Alejandra as a tutor as she is very encouraging and ensures that you learn from mistakes to keep pace with the curriculum. I'm delighted to add my voice to the other positive reviews on here! I've been having weekly lessons with Marino for 7+ months now and he has helped me progress from nothing to where I can now hold a decent (if a little basic) conversation in Spanish! His lessons are carefully structured to cover all the basics in an appropriate order, and he gives notes, examples and exercises to help support the teaching. His years of teaching experience are constantly evident, and he strikes a great balance between (patiently!) waiting for me to construct my sentences/remember words whilst prompting and correcting as necessary. I feel the price is very reasonable, especially when considering the convenience of Marino coming to near where I work to give me lessons. Fitting lessons around a busy full time job would not be easy otherwise... we have our lessons at lunchtimes in a local Pret near my office! Which means I can fit it easily into my day instead of having to rush somewhere after work when I'm already shattered from working all day. From simply searching on google to find a teacher initially I was naturally slightly nervous about who I might end up with! But my nerves turned out to be entirely unfounded, Marino is a fantastic teacher and a lovely friendly guy to work with, and I could not be happier with our lessons. It's so much fun learning! From school I never remember once looking forward to lessons haha but I'm always excited on the way to my weekly spanish lesson! Very highly recommended =)
