J. M. M. R.I have recently completed my DELTA at OHC and loved it!! I have been teaching for 5 years, including two and half of them in Taiwan. I left Taiwan as I was seeking professional development and I am so happy I came back to London to do my DELTA at OHC. The input sessions were amazing, a lot of information with wonderfully presented handouts, activities which engaged us in developing our own thinking of theories and teaching techniques. The input sessions encouraged us to understand teaching from a different perspective, one which has helped me become a better teacher by focusing more on students' needs and having a broader understanding of how students learn. The input sessions were also guided to help us perform well in our assessed lessons and in the final Cambridge exam. The course tutors, Jack and Chris were simply wonderful and very knowledgeable, I found them to be passionate about teaching and teacher training, really enthusiastic with a drive for success. After my assessed lessons, feedback was always conducted 3 days after, with a detailed report on the lesson and enough time to have a discussion with the tutor about it, and future assessed lessons. Jack and Chris pushed me to excel which resulted in me feeling really motivated to work hard and achieve high grades, I found their advice and their help to be paramount in my overall performance. Throughout the course a lot of the communication is done via e-mail, I was also surprised at how quickly tutors e-mailed back to answer queries. Another thing which really impressed me was that when we had the mock exam on a Saturday, our papers were fully marked, and given back to us with the Cambridge guideline answers on the Monday. This gave me plenty of time to look over the mock exam and the Cambridge Examination Report and to revise before the real exam a couple of weeks later. I also found Jack and Chris to be very understanding and flexible, the DELTA is intense, it requires a lot of commitment and hard work, but with tutors like these, it made it so much easier and doable! The staff at OHC are also really friendly, ready to help you find books in the library or to help you use the photocopiers. I also liaised with OHC teachers to observe lessons as we must complete 10 hours of observations, and I was extremely impressed by the teaching standard at the school - I learnt a lot from observing DELTA qualified teachers at OHC. Throughout the course I also made some very good friends who I have stayed in contact with, it was good to bond with people to exchange ideas and to help each other out - it also meant that our input sessions became fun and even more enjoyable as there was a real atmosphere of cooperation and friendship. I really enjoyed this challenging course at OHC and feel I have developed and learnt so much! I recommend it to anyone who is looking to take a big leap forward in their teaching career!

Here I had one of the best experiences of my life :D the teachers are excellently qualified, very nice and are always supportive at any time of the day;) I had a lot of fun in the various classes and I met a lot of friends from all over the world ! Improving your English by sharing your experiences and learning about cultures from all over the world is an indescribable experience.

G. C. F.Great school to improve your English. I took a three-week course in the morning and afternoon. All the teachers are qualified and certified. I had classes with native London teachers and an Australian teacher who had lived in London for many years. The school offers extra activities every day, such as pub crawls, museum visits, learning about London, and a library with books available for you to use and even take home to study. Everyone at the school is always willing to help and is always concerned about your satisfaction. My class had only one Brazilian and many other countries. I recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to study at this school. :)

K. T.When I decided to spend a month in London and look for some good academy to improve my English skills, I couldn't imagine just how much those weeks would help me in the future.
I was an Oxford House College student for three weeks in 2010, and, as well as learning a lot, I had so much fun. At first, I must say I was taken aback by the methods the teachers at Oxford House College used. It was nothing like the ones teachers use in my country, where you don't even dare raise your voice because they will mock you if you make a mistake. It was refreshing, and mistakes were taken as inflection points from where students could build up their knowledge of the English language. Through games in which we were 'forced' to interact with all our classmates (it was completely impossible to be left behind), everyday was full of new contributions to our skills. I can't deny there's also one deciding factor that helped a lot: when you study English outside England, teachers translate words and whole sentences into their own language when students don't understand them - but this is not possible when the teacher is British and your classmates come from different parts of the world.
During my weeks at Oxford House College, I had three different teachers and they were all incredibly funny, direct and smart. But I will never forget Manchester native Tim, who was probably the best teacher I have ever had in my entire life. The most amazing part of his teaching - he always expected something from you, and used to look you in the eye when you raised your voice, and always take something useful from your words.
Two years later, I have just passed my Cambridge Advanced Exam at an A grade. I can't help thinking my month at Oxford House College was somehow determinant in my improving and reaching this goal.
