I attended the one day photography foundation course at the office in Shoreditch. The course instructor was very knowledgeable and provided an excellent forum for learning. There was a good mix of theory and practical elements which facilitated the learning process. Highly recommend to anyone who has a digital camera and wants to understand the basics of photography.

I recently attended the Beginners Course to Digital Photography at PCL and found it extremely helpful. As a result of the Covid-19 lockdown, my original course was postponed by a number of months, however the team were really helpful at providing updates, and rearranging the course dates to another time that would go ahead and be suitable.
The tutor, Mikael, was very knowledgeable and patient, clearly explaining the principles of photography and providing advice and guidance on taking all kinds of photos, from portraits, through landscape, to low light street photography. I started the course with very little idea how to use my DSLR having mainly used it in auto mode, but having finished the 3 session evening course, I'm happy to keep it in manual mode, and am getting better photos than I thought I'd achieve.
Can't recommend them highly enough and would definitely go back when I'm ready to take the intermediate course.

My partner and I did the digital photography crash course with Mikael and really loved it. Due to covid restrictions the class was accommodated a few months after our original booking and there was only the two of us in the session, which was great for asking ample amounts of questions that Mikael was always keen to answer.
We learned how to use properly our digital cameras which until that day would have always been set on automatic/default...
Mikael was really knowledgeable and after a detailed classroom session we took to the streets for some practice shots.
We experimented with movement and with focus, with shutter speed and with aperture. We even received compliments from a random cyclist which we just took a photo of who asked us to send him a copy of the shot!
Would recommend!

Had a great experience on the Crash Course this Saturday. Our tutor Liane Harris was great. She was very helpful and patient. The course was informative and helpful taking us through various different aspects of photography. A really helpful day and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get clearer understanding of your DSLR. It has put me on the path to simple but dynamic photography with simple techniques. You certainly won't be using those AUTO settings again. Thanks for a great experience.

I have done both the Beginners Guide Level 1 and Level 2 courses with Photography Course London. I highly recommend them both. Liane Harris was my instructor on both courses. She is fantastic - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, a great teacher and has a passion for photography that is contagious. My goals were to learn how to use my DSLR camera and to know what makes a good photo. I feel that I have accomplished these and so much more. I am inspired to continue taking great photos!

Had a lot of fun and learned so many new things about photography during the day. The course is very well structured, with an initial theoretical framework that introduces you to manual photography. The notions are very well explained and simplified for everyone to understand. Then we went out on the street for some practical training and tips. Definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys photography and would like to be more aware of what their camera can really do. They also offer a Level 2 course and I will definitely go in the future.

I just finished the Beginners Guide to Digital Photography Level 1 course and I understand why this place has such high reviews. The course was essential for understanding the fundamentals of camera settings and using them to take a great photo. I really enjoyed the course and will be signing up to learn more, as I have now developed a fun new hobby and also made some nice friends from the class. Thank you!
J. P.
I did the beginner intro to photography and it was absolutely brilliant.
Engaging way of teaching, demonstrating the theoretical aspects of photography. Great to then get them out and see them demonstrated and try them ourselves. An absolutely brilliant course for anyone getting into or with a basic interest in photography

Took the DSLR Crash Course - What a great tutor Liane Harris was, explained everything clearly and in simple language so we could all understand the practical elements/knowledge to take great photos. It was nice to practice straight away on our camera's what we learnt in theory, so you can instantly see the results of changing different settings. I learnt so much, and have so much more confidence in using my camera now in only half a day. I really appreciated all the hints/tips shared from such an experienced photographer in addition to the course syllabus.

I recently completed the Beginners Guide to Digital Photography Level 1 course with Liane Harris and it was fantastic. Our class was only 4 students, so it allowed for more in depth explanations, as well as 1-on-1 time. Liane was a gem, and so helpful when explaining various settings or techniques to result in beautiful photos. I had read a lot of online forums and blog posts over the last 2 years trying to master my Canon DSLR, but Liane taught me the use of buttons and settings I've never used or used incorrectly, and I have a complete understanding of my camera and the semi-automatic, as well as manual settings now; a whole new level of confidence! I'll likely be signing up for Level 2 in the future, as I enjoyed the class so much. Thank you PCL!

I’ve done a few courses here now and they’ve all been excellent.
The DSLR Summer School with Liane was very inspiring, she’s an incredible teacher! She was very passionate about her subject, patient and managed to cover all the basic theory in a simple but memorable way. I found Liane to be very interesting, funny and light-hearted which made us all at ease in her lessons. I would love to have another session with her in the future and could not recommend the course or school any more.
The DSLR 1 day video course with Nigel was also really good! We covered the main things to get you started from theory-to hands on practice. His teaching style was great, he was patient, interesting and also passionate about his subject and has a vast range of experience. I would highly recommend this, or maybe even a 121 session with him.
Thanks very much.

I took the Level 1 course with Liane Harris this week and I loved it! She was so enthusiastic and full of energy! I already had some photography knowledge, but this course helped to fill in any gaps... there was a lot I didn't know about my camera!
I also did the Level 2 course this week with Jon Mortimer and again, this was great! He was very knowledgable and it was so interesting to hear about his work and get advice from someone who really knows his stuff.
Both tutors were very patient and happy to answer any questions. The group was also very nice and small, so they have time for everyone. I would definitely recommend!

I thought this course was terrific. I recently attended the Intense Foundations of Digital Photography and I am really happy to have done the course and now use my new DSLR camera solely in Manual mode. I was not expecting to be doing this after just a one day course. The class size of 7 was perfect, and there was a good mix of theoretical and practical learning. The teacher Vicki Churchill was a very knowledgeable lecturer from one of the London arts universities, and she explained all topics thoroughly and in an easy to digest manner for beginners. I would recommend this course to any beginners looking to increase their skills and take much better photos. You won't regret it.

I did the Digital Photography Summer School last week at Photography Course London during 4 days and I really enjoyed it. It teach you everything you need to know about your DSLR camera and how to make the most of it. The course is well designed with a good balance between theory and practical, both indoors and outdoors.
Mikael Eliasson is an excellent tutor, calm, encouraging, very professional and a well experienced photographer. Mikael explained everything clearly and in a simple language and that made the course more interesting and easy to understand. I thank Mikael for eveything he teached me and for all the hints and tips he gave me. I am really grateful to have followed my first photography course at PCL. Now I am more confident when taking photos with my DSLR camera in fully manual mode by knowing exactly what I am doing to get the best result.
I would highly recommend this course or any other photography courses from Photography Course London. I guarantee you will enjoy it.
Thanks

I completed a beginners course last Sunday and I was really pleased, I came away from the day with all the fundamental tools to inspire me to use my camera properly and get off the auto mode. Our tutor, Emily Stein was fabulous, she was enthusiastic, patient, explained everything really well and made the day fun.
I will definitely take photography further and have even looked into camera clubs and short courses. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to move up a gear in using your camera and being more creative behind the lens.

I've done the digital photography level 2 with Jon Mortimer. The course covers pretty much every you need to know for intermediate level. and Jon is the excellent tutor. I gain an in-depth knowledge in term of lights, lens, compositions, etc. This course is more than 'just shoot', yet no intense atmosphere. It will guide you to feel comfortable and having fun using your camera.I would recommend this school to everyone. come and try, you will love it.

I have just completed the Beginners Guide Level 1 with Liane Harris and am about to sign up for Level 2 next.
The course is great for Beginner's like me who mainly use the 'Auto' button on their DSLR and want to get to grips with the 'real' features of their cameras.
Liane is a great teacher, very good in explaining and made sure every single one of us (10 in total) understood every function, from ISO, Aperture, Exposure and Shutter Speed.
Already, my photography has improved so much that I will never switch back to Auto mode.

Currently in my 3rd year at University and really needed some help with improving my photography and video skills- booked 3 hours for a one-to-one photography tutorial, and then the same for a video editing tutorial, both had my sessions with Nigel Kellaway who was absolutely fantastic. I cant recommend enough, not only Nigel, but the company itself for anyone who ever feels stuck, or just needs that extra boost of confidence in getting to know your equipment, as well as guidance with any technical problems you might face and often find hard to tackle. Always such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere each time. I cant thank Photography Course London and all their wonderful staff enough. Would highly recommend.
K. R. (.
I attended a 1 to 1 session with Nigel Kellaway in May 2019 which focussed on DSLR video technique. I had some basic skills and had an idea of where the gaps in my knowledge were, and Nigel did a great job in tailoring the tuition to my level. His teaching style is friendly and informal and I felt comfortable & at ease asking questions and participating in the practical exercise. The session was really well structured and included helpful examples of videos that demonstrated specific techniques and recommendations for other learning materials I could look up in my own time. I'd definitely recommend :)

I have now completed the Level 1 Beginners DSLR Course with Jon Mortimer. It was over 3 weeks in the evenings - it was a perfect way to end each day. The course was really detailed, and Jon was extremely good at explaining the different areas. I really feel like my knowledge has been taken to the next level now, and I am really keen to book up the Level 2 course - just trying to get the dates to work. Truly fantastic course, and would definitely recommend it for friends and family.

Loved level 1 of this course, it covers so much and Mikael is a great teacher!

This was my second course in less than two years at Photography Course London, the most recent tutorial being the Crash Course in Digital Photography. We covered a lot in a short period of time and learned some great tips that cannot be found in the camera users manual. Instructors are very knowledgeable and work int he industry as well. All in all, good value for money and excellent experience.

I have now attended 2 courses at photography course London and am planning to take some 1 to 1 on some more specific things as they are so good!
Master class in portraiture is one of the best courses I have ever been on - it was jam packed with interesting info and useful technical tips all interweaved as we went along - the tutor referring to his own experience which was vast...
Retouching for beauty and fashion - we covered lots of effective techniques and I am no longer afraid of masks!! The teaching was straightforward and made complete sense, she was patient and kept us stimulated throughout...
D. C.
I really enjoyed the Intensive Foundation in Digital Photography course. I learned how to use the manual (and other) settings on my camera with more confidence. There was a good balance of theory and practical content where we could put what we'd learned in the class into practice. Great location (Shoreditch good for the street photography experience), and a warm welcome from friendly people. Overall, very accessible and useful - thanks!
B. S.
I arrived at the course with very little knowledge on how to use my camera and I left feeling very confident I had been taught the skills to progress further which was exactly what I was looking for.
The overall experience was great, my teacher Mark Sherrat was excellent, I would highly recommend.
For anyone wanting to learn key skills, fundamental to progress in photography, I would highly recommend the level 1 course.

I've done both the Beginners Guide Level 1 and level 2 with Photography Course London.
In June I did the first one with Adrian Wood. I learned so much, which I could use immediately and it wasn't even overwhelming. I never thought that I'd learn to use my camera in such a short time! Adrian was really enthusiastic and a good teacher. He knew how to explain the subjects in different ways and had clear examples. Homework was absolutely doable and fun!
I did the Level 2 course in September with Liane Harris. She took my knowledge a bit further and it was very interesting to hear the opinion of another photography instructor. Again I learned a lot and I'm more confident in taking great photos. Liane's enthusiasm is contagious and as a result I only want to know more!
The only reason I didn't give a 5-star, is that I think it would be great if we could download the material somewhere.

I took the Beginner's Guide to Digital Photography Levels 1 (with Jon) and 2 (with Liane).
The sessions in themselves were relaxed, with lots of room for questions from the students, yet rich in information and tips which I felt helped my photos improve significantly after each class.
Level 1 covers all the basics and really helps you control what your picture is going to look like. Level 2 is a lot more hands on, integrating technique with composition – I especially enjoyed the last session which took place at the Barbican Center.
As for the tutors, Jon is an amazingly patient teacher with a wealth of knowledge to share, and Liane’s enthusiasm for what she does is simply infectious!
Overall very inspiring, and I will definitely sign up for another course very soon.

The Digital Photography Course which I attended last Tuesday was a very enjoyable introduction to modern digital cameras. We learnt how to achieve better photographic results across a wide range: scenic, fast-moving and other challenging conditions by taking new-found control of our cameras.
Our course was led by Mikael Eliasson, a very knowledgeable teacher. He was always willing to answer questions and has a good ‘down to earth’ presentation style. I was so glad I took notes, however, because there is so much to take in. I would have appreciated some course notes to take away. Having completed my first course, I feel inspired to use parts of the camera I never knew existed and hopefully take better pictures. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand their camera and who finds the instruction book incomprehensible.

I did the Intense Foundation of Digital Photography Level 1. Starting as an absolute beginner on DSLR I was amazed how much I learned in one day, I really feel ready to get out and give it a go now. Liane is a great tutor, really engaging and patient, and it was great that she took time to learn what we wanted to get out of the course and refer back to those requirements specific to each of us throughout. I am already planning to do another course to extend my skills.

i have just finished my 3rd course at Photography Course London. Ive enjoyed every minute of every one! having first attended the intermediate DSLR , then onto the advanced and finished up with some 1:1 training on some specific issues of Lightroom. The courses have all been different and i particularly enjoyed the variation of the advanced course, getting to meet 4 different tutors over the 6 weeks was brilliant and i took a lot of inspiration from all these teachers. Each session involved both a practical element along with classroom teaching. Some of this took me way out of my comfort zone which was exactly what i wanted and I've found that this course has done exactly what i hoped and opened my eyes to varied types of photography, having been totally focused on only shooting one subject matter before the course, i can now find enjoyment and picture opportunities in many situations. Ive learnt a lot technically too and found the instruction easy to follow and lots of fun. The 1:1 training was brilliant too - having had very specific issues I've struggled with in Lightroom, a 2 hour stint here has revolutionised my work flow and this will prove invaluable as i put this into practice. Im now looking forward to taking several more courses after christmas. The people who work here a extremely friendly, very helpful and never make you feel like you've asked a daft question. i cant recommend these courses highly enough - something for everyone!! Nina

I have just completed the Level One Digital Photography Crash Course with tutor Mikael Eliasson and would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to get to grips with their SLR camera. Mikael was excellent at explaining how each function works, and how to use them properly to give your photos a certain look or feel. A fantastic course for all ages.

Both my husband and I did the Intense Foundation for Digital Photography Course on 24 February with Liane. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. With so much information to absorb, the small group size enabled Liane to give individual help whenever needed. As a result of the course we are now much more confident with our cameras and are enjoying experimenting with our new knowledge. We hope we can attend a further course in the near future.

I recently attended a 1 on 1 with Gary on the camera followed by a day with Mikael for Lightroom.
I found the course to be quite expensive but that would not be so if I could have attended the class sessions.
I found both days to be interesting and "enlightening". My photos are now being filed in a way more manageable manner and I now feel more confident with the mechanics of the camera and can spend more time composing an image that I want to see rather than worry about the settings.
4 Hours passed by very quickly and I feel that I learnt a lot!

I had a great Intense Foundation of Digital Photography Level 2 course with Joel Ford, I liked his teaching and coaching style a lot. Such a nice and competent person.
I am going to continue for sure with some other courses with Photography Course London soon.
Thank you very much.

I recently attended the intense one day beginner's DSLR course (4/1/14) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Jon was a very friendly tutor with a wealth of photography experience that he kindly shared with us. His explanations of the different functions which they DSLR has was very thorough but easy to understand - I've learnt so much more about how my camera actually works! From start to finish, all the staff were very friendly and the support and practice sessions were excellent. I highly recommend this course for those looking to learn how to use your DSLR cameras properly - the teaching enables you to start taking great looking photos almost immediately. Definitely would love to come back for the intermediate once I've had enough practice snapping away on my DSLR!

I recently took the level 1 Beginners course to digital photography and I was absolutely thrilled at how the course was carried out. Mr Perlmutter created a calm and friendly atmosphere for all of us to learn as much as we could. Many of my colleagues agreed with me that taking the three-Wednesdays course was the best idea: like this, the knowledge properly sinks in and this course made sure you applied all the knowledge constantly to whichever assignment we were on. I have improved my basic photography skills in terms of aperture, shutter speed, composition, metering, panning, light trailing... and the list goes on. I now know exactly what a DSLR is supposed do do in my hands!!
B. H.
I took the intensive Level 1 intro to DSLR photography on Saturday and it was well worth it.
There were some elements I already had some grasp of – like focus and aperture – but I still benefited a lot from having them explained and demonstrated again.
And then there was stuff I had no idea about, like light metering and how to get the most out of the Manual setting. In fact, the light metering part was such an eye-opener for me that it was worth the fee on its own!
Leanne was an excellent, engaging, animated teacher.

I went on the Street Photography course with Luke on Friday and thought it was great. Really good office session on the basics of street photography with some excellent photo examples and plenty of time for q and a - Luke was always very helpful and constructive with his answers. Then out on the street for an hour or so with Luke always on hand to help and encourage. Good sized group ( and more balanced in terms of gender than I've found with other providers so never got too techy!) and lots of time for interaction with the group. This is the best course I've been on and will certainly go on others with Photography Course London - thanks for a brilliant day.
C. B.
I did a half day one to one session on Lightroom. I had been using Lightroom for a number of years but without any formal training and was not sure if I was using it correctly and also knew I wasn't using all the functionality. This was a fantastic session! I was able to bring my laptop along with all my pictures and work through the issues I wanted to and also check what I had done to date. Mikael was very knowledgeable and explained things in a simple and easy manner. I highly recommend a one to one session for anyone else in my position.
R. B.
I've just completed the Level 1 Beginners Guide to Digital Photography course with Jon Mortimer. This was probably one of the more enjoyable courses I can remember taking. I've learnt the basics of taking photographs with a DSLR camera in semi-manual mode and had a lot of fun at the same time. Jon is an excellent teacher. For me, he's got the balance right between content, clarity and informality. So I learnt a lot, but always looked forward to the next class.
Update: I went straight from the Level 1 to the Level 2 evening course with Liane Harris. This was also very enjoyable and there were only three other students. I like the 'one evening a week' format as Liane set 'homework', which allowed you to practice the ideas learnt during the week. Some of the students took some great photographs. On the last evening we walked from the studio to the Barbican and this was fun taking images in low-light. Overall, the courses were informative and my photography has significantly improved.
A. L.
The intermediate course at Photography Course London was excellent. Great mix of technical instruction and some 'play' time. I thought that I might be a little out of my depth having not attended the beginners version of the course, however, the tutor was very flexible and made sure that I wasn't left behind or confused.
Highly recommended.
C. H.
I took the level 1 course here in June 2014. It was three hours per evening over three evenings.
The tutor Adrian was a very friendly guy with a really good teaching manner. He is obviously an expert at this (he's a photographer in real life and not just a tutor) but all his explanations were geared up to them being understood by beginners.
I am really pleased with what I got out of the course and feel like I now understand all the functions of my DSLR.
I will certainly be returning for the level 2 course.
K.
The Digital Photography Crash Course with Emily Stein was great. She was encouraging, knowledgeable, approachable and happy to offer extra advice when asked. The staff were lovely. I can't wait to practice what I learned - and maybe book a place on their Street Photography Course!
T. G.
I've been using a DSLR camera for about two years and am reasonably comfortable using Lightroom but Photoshop was a mystery to me. I knew that learning a few simple techniques would take my photography to the next level so I signed up for the Photoshop Foundation Level 1 course which was a full day. The course was led by Mikael Eliasson and it was obvious that he really knew his stuff. Everything he covered was really interesting and useful and I left feeling much more confident using the software and with some handy skills under my belt. I would definitely recommend this course if you're new to Photoshop or want to learn how to use it properly.

PCL is a such an amazing place to study photography! All the staff are great and very helpful at all times. I really did enjoy my course and I grabbed the opportunity I had with the high profile professional photographers to know more and more about this field. The learning environment is informal, it's like to have a chat, very relaxing...
I am really glad to have met you guys "to (re)start" my PRO side.
Thanks very much for your support!

My husband bought me the Photography for Parents course with tutor Mikael for my birthday to help refresh some techniques and get better pictures of our 4 month old son. The course was excellent, I absolutely loved it. Mikael really clearly recapped on some of the technical aspects of photography, we were able to practice those techniques and gave me loads of ideas to try out at home (wriggly model permitting). I would thoroughly recommend this course to any new parents - I just wish we'd found it earlier!
B. H.
I recently took the Intense Foundation Level 1 course with Liane Harris. I thought it was fantastic! It was a great step by step introduction to using all the advance functions on my camera. Liane made learning the manual functions straightforward, and provided a lot of one on one attention and practical experience. I would recommend this course to anyone with a DSLR camera!
R. C.
I completed the introduction to photography course in August 2014 (run over three seperate evenings). The course is outstanding and really enjoyable, I would strongly recommend it. It goes at a really good pace and is very well explained so you actually take everything in. There is lots of opportunity to practice and the homework assignments really help you develop. It really taught me to use my SLR properly, rather than spending a lot of money on a point and shoot. I recently went on holiday so had a lot of chance to practice what I learnt. Its significantly improved the standard of my photography and I'm looking forward to taking the intermediate course.
D. J. W.
I really enjoyed the course. It was a great way to learn about the process of developing. I think Sebastian is a genius! If I were to offer some constructive criticism it would be that there could have been another tutor showing us the differences in exposures and using the light meters in our cameras. That way we would have been able to see classic examples of under and over exposure. This course for me was about understanding the developing process of black and white and for that knowledge to inform my thinking process behind the camera and enable me to take better pictures. I felt that there could have been more guidance in the first half of the day in that respect.
M. N.
Have attended the beginner & intermediate DSLR course & had private tuition on Lightroom. The tutoring has been excellent & would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn about photography. Am keen to go back for the portrait course to improve my photography of people.

Completed 2 course's a few weeks back level 1 photography and studio lighting.. looking back I should of maybe done the level 2 photography course.. my fault of course as I knew about most of it . But having said that. I still learnt a few things I was unaware of so still informative for me
Studio lighting course was great.. Bill was amazing and produced so me wonderful photos on the day with a fantastic model that was supplied..
Thank you

I opted for a 4hr 1 to 1 session in advance of a couple of weddings I'll be attending as a guest.
Although I took probably 4/5 photos throughout the whole session, I learnt a great deal! The lack of 'practical practice' didn't bother me, as I have been taking photos for several years, and it was the finer nuances of wedding photography which I wanted to take note of!
Grace, the organiser was friendly and welcoming; and the overall studio was a great environment to learn it. I left feeling inspired!
Although the pricing was high, you certainly quality tuition; and I would recommend it to anybody wishing to develop their photographic skills.

I have just completed Level 1 of the Digital Photography For Beginners class with Lianne Harris and came away excited to try out my new skills. In such a short space of time I feel I took in a lot of invaluable information. Lianne was a great teacher, very patient, clear and friendly. I really want to try out the Level 2 class now!
B. D.
I learned a lot. It was nice to spend time on the streets taking photos and gaining experience.
I think the Portraiture Masterclass was okay. It was nice to think about portrait styles. The instructor was very encouraging and smart. I think the course could have been improved by having models to work with. I did not like having to head out on to the streets and ask strangers to take their photos. Plus, I thought it was odd that we had to read the handouts aloud during class time. I wish we would have spent more time working with lights in the studio.
A. W.
I am pleased with what the Intense Foundation - Level 2 Photography course taught me. I have come away more confident in taking a correctly exposed picture, which I had previously struggled with.
I also now understand how important the right composition is when setting up your shot.
The most enjoyable part was getting outside with some hands on tips. Having a professional beside you really helps.
I would recommend this company and will hopefully be returning.

I attended the Street Photography course with Luke on Wednesday and I found it very enjoyable and stimulating. The first couple of hours we had a good and interesting office session during which Luke introduced us to street photography, giving us tips and suggestions on how to set camera parameters in order to have the best results out of different situations and preferences. We had an overview of street pictures and time for Q and A. Then out on the street where we had enough time to practise and to enjoy playing around with our cameras. I loved the whole experience, Luke and his passion and the group, nice and relaxed. I would definitely do it again.

The crash course was a great afternoon of meeting new people and learning more about my camera and how to get better photos out of it.
One of the main benefits I got from this was how to use depth of field. I had been struggling with this and thanks to Mikael I can now say confidently I understand the fundamentals.
My only disappointment was that we were not given reference material about what we discussed that day to take home.
Overall I was a really fun day and have lots knew knowledge to take home and start to practice.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Beginners Guide to D-SLR (Level 1) course at PCL this month. This course was the perfect way to get acquainted with the semi-automatic and manual modes of my new camera, and I now feel confident in being able to use my camera to maximize my chances of getting a good image in a variety of situations. The course was split over 3 weeks, which worked really well for me as I appreciated having the chance to practice newly learned techniques between sessions and to receive feedback on these photos. This course focuses on the technical aspects of using your camera - from use of light and metering through to going into fully manual mode - rather than the creative side of photo composition and subject selection. The tutor Liane had an impressive knowledge of the functions of a wide range of cameras whilst also creating an informal atmosphere that encouraged students to ask questions. There was a good mix of theory and practical within each session, with plenty of opportunity for feedback on photos. I have since been honing my new skills and hope to maybe take another course in the future. Thanks Liane and PCL!
H. S.
My friend and I had a great day on the crash course with Mikael Eliasson. I had done some basic courses before and knew bits about aperture and shutter speed, but this course helped to understand a little bit *why* it worked instead of *that* it worked - definitely made me keen to learn more! There was more theory and less practice / review than on other short courses I'd attended, which was actually much more useful - and we took our new-found skills to the nearby pub after the course to practice taking arty shots of beer pumps - perfect :-)
T. Z.
I attended the 1 day foundation course with Liane Harris. Feeling a little nervous with my near to zero knowledge, Liane took as back to basics and slowly built up the layers of information with simple practical demonstrations. The small group and studio made a very comfortable day and felt at ease in the space. Has made an instant change to the way I take a photo and have not used auto settings since! Will definitely be looking to book onto the next level in the future...... Thanks Liane!

I attended the day Street Photography Course with Luke last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found Luke a passionate and inspiring teacher, who packed in a wealth of information and tips into a short time.
I found the illustrated historical background to street photography extremely interesting and also the ethics and politics of the genre enlightening and thought provoking. Luke was always on-hand during the practical session out on the street to give help and advice.
The course has given me the impetus and confidence to go out and take photographs more regularly. I have already found that I walk around now with more awareness of my surroundings. I certainly will consider enrolling again in the future onto another photography course. One final comment; it would have been helpful to have had a plan in advance on how the day was to be structured.
Thanks again Luke for a great day!

A brilliant course. We had a small group working with Joel on the Digital Photography Beginner's course. The sessions were relaxed but very useful and a huge thanks to PCL for making these lessons available at an accessible price!

Really enjoyed the crash course with Mikael Eliasson in understanding all the settings on my camera. Only had it 5 years, but needed a simple demo type course to learn what was what! Very useful practical information and demonstrations really brought to life the dos and don'ts. Have just had four days away on the coast and have messed around with everything I learnt. Some great improvements in my photos and I now understand how to set it up for different conditions. Still lots more practising to be done, but would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone looking for a quick start. Will definitely be looking to see what else may be of use to me in future courses. Thanks.
Attended my second short course yesterday on street photography with Luke Forsythe. The first couple of hours were spent discussing the subject, how to set up your camera in preparation and how to be up front and personal with people you want to photograph in the street! (The previous course I did was very beneficial in understanding the setting up of the camera bit.) We then spent over an hour outside just getting on and doing it, with plenty of help and suggestions from Luke. Very enjoyable and am now itching to get some more time to experiment. Thanks once again.

My colleague and I had a 1 to 1 tutoring session with Gary Woods on Photoshop. We’d never used Photoshop before so needed all the basic training. Gary was very patient with us and very knowledgeable on the programme.
The staff at Photography Course London were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The venue is also in a really good, easy to find location.
We took all our own notes, however it would have been nice if we could have walked away with a “Basics Photoshop Handbook”, because no doubt if we don’t use some of the features very often then they will be easily forgotten.
Overall a very enjoyable and useful session.

Review for Photography with DSLR Camera- Level 1
I had never used a DSLR until the course day, let alone knowing the functions and all those complicated buttons etc...it looked all too complicated to me as a beginner.
Liane Harris explained all the functions with great patience, she explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. She was fun and very understanding of the issues or questions we faced during the course.
The idea of discussing our chosen images was great. We got to see many different photos each of which required different techniques and by the end of the day we knew how to take photos to create our desired effect.
Liane also helped me to choose the right camera to buy, she spent some time during the lunch break, browsing different options and finding the retailers.
I learnt a lot during the course and I cant wait to apply my knowledge to my new camera which I bought today. I came in with absolutely no idea... and left the course with great deal of knowledge.
I highly recommend the course to all beginners. It certainly adds a lot to your knowledge and you learn things without which you will never be able to take beautiful pictures. It was also fun and the fact that we were given the opportunity to take photos outside the school gave us a lot of confidence.
Grace and other staff were also very kind and helpful. The registration process and all the correspondence was very smooth and easy.
Thank you for organising this fantastic course.
Kind regards,
Tina Melikian

This is a really excellent course (beginner level 1). I was essentially using my high end DSLR as a point and shoot camera that I could have spent £50 on, these 3 lessons have got me to a point where I can now take interesting and creative photos that look much more adept than before. Leanne is experienced, friendly and extremely patient!
Highly recommended.

Great intense foundation level 1 course with tutor Gary Perlmutter. Gary help me unlock the true potential of my DSLR with a can do, no nonsense, seen it, done it approach, even assisting me solving a nagging problem re-setting my camera off multi-exposure mode which knocked my confidence using my camera unto this point. Switching off auto mode and going manual now with confidence. The highlight for me was taking my DSLR out of the class room and putting what we've learned into practice. Weather helped too. Looking forward to level 2!

I have just completed the Intense Foundation of Digital Photography - Level 1 with tutor Mark Sherratt and finally understand how and when I should get off automatic. A nice mix of theory and practice with a patient and supportive tutor. I took a bridge camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ200) with me that has all the manual functions and learned 10 times more about my camera and what it does than I have trying to digest the manual in the last year! We had a very small and friendly group and the pace was just right to understand everything but cover an amazing amount of stuff. Thank you

I went on a street photography course on Sunday. The instructor was insightful, friendly and obviously very knowledgeable. Got some great photos and feel more confident behind the camera. Could not rate highly enough, word of warning do the foundation course first to prepare you,

I booked a 1:1 session to learn how to get the best of my new camera and I loved it. I am a completely beginners and left the class really excited to get more course and start practising. Did 2 hours and was good to learn the basics.

I just completed the Intense Foundation One Day Course with John Mortimer and it completely exceeded my expectations. He was extremely warm, considerate and thorough in his teaching method and I came away from the class excited to go out and shoot. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in learning to use their camera to its greatest potential.

Great course for those looking to learn more about their DSLRs. A full day taught me lots of new techniques that have made me ditch the automatic setting on me camera and take much better photographs. Really recommend it.

I have returned many time to the Photography Course London. The standard of teaching is brilliant. It has taught me such a lot which has really enhanced my work and my career. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I just completed the following courses with Mikael Eliasson :
* Studio Lighting and Portrait Photography
* Intense Foundation of Digital Photography Lev 2
* Lightroom and Photoshop
Compared to other photography courses centres visited and instructors, I can confirm that Mikael is a professional, talented and honest instructor.
I learned a lot and definitely will positively affect my career.
Thank you Mikael they are professional, talented and honest instructor.
Thank you Mikael

Took the Studio Lighting Course with Bill Ling the other day and it was fantastic! I'd never shot in a studio before, but I came out with a good understanding of how to control light in a studio environment. Took a few great snaps as well!
Highly recommended! Being at Holborn Studios was incredible!

I recently completed the Beginners Guide to Digital Photography Level 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it! I learnt so much and I feel much more confident with my camera now. All I want to do is go out and take pictures. I will definitely be going back for other courses, maybe the street photography next time.
Thank you very much!

I have completed the Level 1 digital photography crash course. It has been clear and really helpful, it submits you all the basic information you need in order to start practice conscientiously by yourself. I will probably be booking the Level 2 and would highly recommend the Level 1 to any other beginners.

I'm a bit embarrassed as to how little I knew about my camera before the course. Luckily my eyes are now opened to all the amazing things I could do with it without having to rely on the Auto function! Going outside and actually taking photos was probably the most enjoyable aspect. Though the weather was crap it was great to get out put into action the things we were taught. The delivery of the course was also enjoyable, as it was a small enough group you felt you could ask questions without hogging the time. Adrian Wood made all those complicated symbols and terms you see in your dslr manual make sense in less than a day. You got the sense that he was an expert in his field of work, but was quite open and friendly about it. I truly feel confident using my camera and can't wait to sign up for the level 2 course. Thanks!

I just did the half day beginners' crash course with Mikael Eliasson, and found it really useful and enjoyable. As an almost complete novice at photography, it was exactly what I was looking for and pitched at just the right level for me. We covered a fair amount of theory, as Mikael explained about aperture, shutter speed and ISO, how to change the settings on the camera and the effect of changing them. Having always felt intimated by my DSLR, now I feel confident to go out and try some of the things I learned on the course.
G. B.
I enrolled on a one to one course with Liane, and after being extremely nervous on arriving I must say that Grace and Liane were amazingly friendly and made me feel very at ease. I did a one on one course as I wasn't comfortable asking questions in group courses I have done before, and I found it extremely useful. Liane was there to answer any queries I had regarding my camera and gave me some excellent feed back on ways to improve, and even taught me a few things I didn't know my camera could do! I would definitely go back to do possibly another course or even if I get stuck in the future to ask some more questions.
Very kind and genuine people
Thanks for all your help

I took the Fashion and Beauty Retouching course with Helen Saunders. Overall I was very happy with the course. Helen has a structure but is still able to tailor the day to the general needs of those on it.
I would recommend that everyone reads the section on what you should know before taking the course as this will mean you can get the most out of it and so can everyone else attending.
For me, the course covered what I expected it to, but there was an initial slowness due to having to go over some of the techniques that we were expected to already know.
Helen and the staff at the office were very friendly and there were two (much needed) tea breaks where the kettle was boiled ready for us- and a few cheeky ginger nuts so all in all it was great.
I had a lot of fun and learnt lots of new skills and techniques.
B. L.
This was a fantastic course. Lots of fun and very informative. I was lucky enough to have Jon Mortimer as an instructor and he was excellent, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because we didn’t manage to get outdoors and test our new skills – I think it could have been a little bit more hands on. Overall though it was excellent – I learnt so much and my photo’s are so much better!
I've since done the Portraiture Masterclass course as well and that was equally brilliant. Lot's of fun and a lot of new skills and tricks learnt. As always, PCL is fun, informative and great value for money.
I've just complete another Street Photo course with PCL - excellent as always, great content, great tutors and lots of fun. Groups are always nice and small, so plenty of time for one-to-one chats with your tutor. I can recommend a street photo workshop with Gary Perlmutter. Updating my old review and upgrading to 5 stars!

Having previously done the excellent Lightroom Foundation I was keen to return to Photography Course London for their Photoshop Foundation (level 2). This was an excellent course that covered a lot of important subject matter and developed techniques in a methodical and structured manner to result in a really useful model for my workflow. Mikael is an excellent tutor and I benefitted greatly from his structured and relaxed approach. Very highly recommended.

Liane is a fantastic teacher! Level 1 is a great intense course for DSLR foundation. The location is very cool. Will certainly do Level 2 after a bit of practice of the new great techniques I learned!

I bought my girlfriend a course here to learn about using a DSLR, I was told I could sit in and watch (I wouldn't recommended as you look odd!).
The teacher was great, she explained everything simply but enough background to give details to people who already knew about a function of the camera for instance.
The class was taken out a few times to try out different techniques, they'd just learnt in class, so perfect for hands on and hands off approach.

I've just completed the beginners DSLR course with Liane Harris. I have to say that I'm really glad I took this and have signed up to the intermediate class at he end of April.
Liane did a great job of explaining the basics such as the interaction between vaious camera settings - suffice to say that the quality of my pictures has improved no end!

I went to the Photography for parents with Mikael Eliasson and it was so much more than just how to take pictures of kids ! Mikael is very knowledgeable, explained things in a way they made sense and was open to all our questions. The course had an amazing number of examples we discussed, and Mikael took us then outside to practise straightaway, which was key to the learning process. Several weeks later I still remember what I learned and keep practising with my camera!!

The courses are really addictive, I've done 4 now and each one was fantastic! I did lighting with Bill Ling, portraiture with Emily and intense foundation levels 1 & 2 with Gary. They were all brilliant at what they did and I loved and got so much out of each workshop.. Looking to book more..

I had done an entry level Photoshop course before and I was looking for a more advanced course that could teach me how to follow a correct workflow. The course I took at Photography Course London was exactly what I was a looking for.
Although the course last only one day, it was extremely well organised and a lot of concepts were covered. Everything was explained in a very clear way and it was very easy to follow.
I would highly recommend this place for the quality of the teaching and the nice environment provided.

I chose to do this intense course following frustration at not having the confidence with a digital SLR compared to a manual. Not only has my fear of DSLRs disappeared but I had an immensely enjoyable and informative day. Gary and my class mates were great fun; I am so pleased I took the course. I will not hesitate to do another course at PCL with my new DSLR arriving this Wednesday!

Have just completed my second course with PhotographyCourseLondon, the first being the beginner and now the intermediate. I cannot emphasise enough how good I have found these lessons.
The tutors are very knowledgeable and endlessly patient, they cater for all levels and make sure all the students are on the 'same page' before moving on.
I will most definitely be taking part in further courses in the future, but in the meantime I will be out there practicing all I've learnt so far.
If you have an interest in photography whether it be complete novice/intermediate/pro they will be able to offer help to take the next steps.
Plus they have tea and ginger snap biscuits.
AWESOME!

As a complete beginner, the Intense Foundation Level 1 course was the perfect introduction to photography. Jon was an excellent and very engaging teacher and the group size was spot on.
I will put what I've learned into practice and then sign up for Level 2.
Thanks to all at PCL for a great day.
G. T.
Natalie was very knowledgeable about Adobe Lightroom and showed us the main features of the program in an approachable way.
Obviously the course isn't for complete beginners...so you need to know about Histograms and the basics of photography. But if you do, this course will get you going with the software and show you its scope!
P. B.
I attended the Intense Foundation Level 1 course in June and really enjoyed it. The pace of the course was just about right, with a good mix of theory and practice.
An hour for lunch was quite long, and I'd suggest shortening it and giving attendees more "free" time to practice what they have learnt in the morning.
I've already noticed a big improvement in my photos after this one session!
M. V.
Being not as familiar with Photoshop as a lot of people it was still enjoyable despite not having the same knowledge as my other peers who I took the course with. Level 2 definitely lends itself to people who really are into their photography and are familiar in working with cameras.
I really enjoyed actually learning a lot about the theory of light and how it works in digital terms and print terms. Learning about just how much you can actually do with the Photoshop programme was also eye-opening
I took this course for 2 purposes: for work purposes and for personal learning.
Perhaps doing the course as 2 half days would be useful as it is a lot of information to take in all at once and then remember afterwards. It would be useful if notes for referral after the course were provided as it's a lot to remember afterwards.
I would definitely recommend this course as there is a lot of flexibility in being able to request to learn about specific skills. The team welcoming you there are also very friendly and always willing to help you out - very hospitable
H. M.
VERY friendly environment and very relaxed :) Love the small classes making it more easy to voice concerns and get help when needed.
I liked the course, however I later found when I got home that not all of the course content was covered, about 6 things weren't taught which is disappointing. I also felt we were being taught the tutor's way of editing rather than an overall 'how-to', for example the tutor doesn't like using dodge and burn, so we weren't taught it even though it was on the course content.
What I did learn though was very useful and with a bit of practice I hope to perfect some techniques :)
L. C.
I attended a 1 to 1 course for 4 hours to help me use my Nikon D3100. The tutor was great and by having a personal course, it meant we could speed up and slow down as needed to suit me. I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in photography.

Really enjoyed the Beginner DSLR course with Bill Ling. I'm a real beginner with a new camera, which I now feel much more confident about how to get the most out of. Well-paced, very practical and a lot of fun. I'm considering whether to go back for the Intermediate DSLR course in the autumn.

Just completed the Beginners DSLR with Bill Ling. Really enjoyed it, and have come away feeling like I've learnt loads about my camera and photography! Am hoping to do future photography courses after this one, and would look no further than this place. Good sized classes too, not too many people in a class. Thanks very much and see you again!

Took part in the brief 4hr course and found it very informative, varied and useful! Holly was very knowledgeable and delivered the content professionally and kept interest and energy going. I (re) learnt a lot and am inspired to get going again with my DSLR!

I attended the four-hour-long introductory street photography course run by Luke Forsyth last week Tuesday. Luke started the introduction by showing us well-known photographs by internationally known photographers to give us a feel for the genres, which I enjoyed very much. Via these pictures I think we all got an idea about their work, how they sometimes approached the particular picture, the result we were able to view and we also learned that a lot of patience and endurance goes along with the taking of the actual picture. We then learned a bit about composing a photograph, aperture and speed, ISO and so on, discussed queries we had and then went out to put into practice what we had learned so far. The hands-on bit was great fun and let people in the street believe we were taking shots of celebrities!!
I thought the course was well-balanced. A good mix of theory and practice. Luke is a very helpful and easy to approach teacher who encouraged us to believe in our ability to take photographs and never forget to smile when taking pictures out there in the streets as smiling photographers get far in the world of street photography!

From taking pictures on my phone to owning a Canon camera following the recomendations from my teacher; taking pictures defining the intention, settings and correct exposure ane focus, whilst understanding the technical jargon (really thrilled by this)! I did the level 1 course over 3 weeks and it was fantastic! Totally recommended

Thanks to Gary and Grace for a very enjoyable day.
Really enjoyed the course, good to have most of the day to learn about street photography. Great to go out and put into practice things learnt in the morning and to have a review and to see how other members of the group viewed similar shots or came up with unique images.

I did the day course for Retouching for Fashion and Beauty with Valerio Lettieri. Really enjoyable and extremely informative! There was a lot of information to take in so i'm pleased I took some notes, the tutor also said he would send us additional notes as there were a few things we didn't have time to cover in detail. Before the course I didn't have much experience with retouching but the tutor was great and kept everyone engaged, and walked through every bit to ensure everyone understood and was keeping up. Was lovely to meet the other people on the course too, and learn about their experience with retouching. Overall, it was a great day, I'd definitely recommend!

Totally loved the course, and now feel confident and equipped for adventures in photography! Very well-taught, pacy course. The time flew and I learned so much. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone and am hoping I can come back soon for more advanced courses.

I really enjoyed my one to one tuition on DSLR and Photoshop.
Giorgio Murru was a great teacher and we went through everything I was interested in. Laura and Alaena were so friendly and helped to make the booking of my course so easy.
I am now inspired to take photography further and hope to maybe take another course in the future. Thank you PCL!

The Lightroom Course fully explained the workflow and facilities in this software making it very easy for me to transfer from using Photoshop Elements.
Since taking the Lightroom Course I have taken the Photoshop 1 & 2 courses and the Photoshop for Fashion Course. All were good but Part 1 and the Fashion Couse were particularly rewarding. The latter showed techniques applicable to many forms of photography, not just fashion.

I have completed the Level 1 digital photography crash course. I attended the Street Photography course with Luke. I was rather disappointed as it was not quite what I had expected. Luke was very nice indeed but I felt we spent too long inside talking about renowned photographers and looking at examples. As there was no outline of the day given, I sat there wondering how long this was going to go on. There were 12 in our group which I think was too many. Some only had point and shoot cameras and others clearly didn't know how to use the functions on their cameras which took up Luke's time.
I had hoped that we would go out on the street somewhere funky and get some good shots but we just went 5 mins from the studio onto a major road intersection.
Luke concentrates very much on people and I was expecting more about buildings, architecture, angles etc.
My photos from the day were disappointing but I'm still glad I did the day as I did learn a few things and it inspired me to pick up my camera more.

I enjoyed my one-to-one course with Giorgio Murru.
My pictures already look better after just a one-day intensive course and he went through everything I was interested in learning, and then some. He shared a lot of information on using my camera, a DSLR and some Photoshop, which I will spend time going over and practicing with to improve my pictures, my blog and my website.
I plan to return when next I can to take an intermediate level course and build on what I've learned.

I've just completed the Beginners course and it was EXCELLENT! Small group, covered all the basics and a very simple philosophy. 'When you leave the course you will be in control of your pictures, not the camera'. And Jon who was the tutor was brilliant - very patient!

I had a one to one studio lesson in studio lighting with Mikael Eliasson. I came with a swathe of images I had hoped I would learn how to emulate, and we went through replicating each one. It was an incredible lesson and would recommend it anyone. Truly professional tutoring, even for an amateur like myself

As a serious amateur photographer who has been using using Photoshop for +10years, I was delighted and amazed at the knowledge I gained form just 2 hours at Photography Course London.
The teaching was done very sensitively taking my specific requests into account.
I have been on other Photoshop courses and ended up disappointed so I am very pleased to have found an organisation that caters to the needs of students.

Before contacting PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE LONDON , I called around. They were compatibale with their prices they could understand what I wanted. Which was vital. I had a one to one course with Mikael - Im so glade PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE LONDON, recommended him. Mikael was patient understanding and easy to talk to. It was so useful to be able to ask exactly the questions I needed to know the answers to. I was able to complete my project from start to finish. Thank you Michael for all your tips and advice and Thank you Photography Course London for making it happened.

I took a 3 hour 1-2-1 coaching programme with Gary, who was very adept at finding answers to my many questions.
As a self-declared novice, I spent 3 happy hours discovering the intricacies of DSLR cameras and left with a basic - if largely, as yet - unproven understanding of nearly all of the functions of my Nikon, which were a complete mystery to me before starting the course.
Thanks to Gary and the administarive team who were all very welcoming and efficient in what they had to do.
I have always enjoyed "point and shoot" photography, clearing up the aftermath with liberal doses of PhotoShop Essentials..
Now I feel that at least I can "point and shoot" with a more defined purpose - I will be back for a more advanced programme once I've put my new learning into practice.
Thanks Team!

The crash-course with Adrian Wood was great. Easy to digest information with some practice learning our new skills. It was intense, being a short course but now I feel confident enough to take my camera off 'automatic' and have some fun with it!

Recently completed a Street Photography course here. Great tutor in Luke, really responsive and engaging and provided good and practical advice. We covered some of the history around sreet photography and also hit the streets with Luke giving a broad range of advice for different "styles" of photography. Considering doing the Studio Lighting and Video/Filmaking for DSLR courses as well.

Had John Mortimer as a 1 on 1 teacher and he was excellent. really helped me to organise my self and taught me how to structure each image I take. Before I was very snap happy and produced alot of rubbish with the occasional good image, but now all my images are of a much higher quality than they where before, and I have grown in confidence Immensely when it comes to taking photos for clients.
highly Recommended for those to want to really advance there skills.

This course has definately given me the confidence to start using Lightroom. Although it was very technical ( as one would expect ), Gary was very good at explaining things and I felt that I learnt a lot. The handouts at the end of the course were very helpful. I would seriously consider doing another course from their schedule.

I had a one on one tuition session with Mikael who was excellent. The content was pitched at exactly the right level and Mikael went out of his way to ensure that everything I wanted to be taught had been covered. The studio is a lovely space too. Highly recommended.

I have just done the Intense Foundation Level One course with Lianne Harris can’t recommend it strongly enough for any beginner wanting to get to grips with their DLSR. The word “intense” nearly put me off but it was a really well thought out and nicely paced day actually and not at all over-loaded with info. Started at 10:30 finished at 5pm and I learnt everything I needed to learn at this stage in order to use the main settings (including where they actually are!!) and why. The handout was useful to have for reference/later but one of the great things about the course was that it was taught in such a way that all the messages sunk in without needing to refer to a booklet - lots of good examples and opportunities to practice and the right level of information. Lianne is a friendly, helpful and professional teacher. I'll be booking on to the Level Two course when I've practised what I've learnt so far!

I have completed the retouch pro course and I m overall happy. There are different aspects you need to consider and for the length of the course and for 3 hours a week the course was well structured and the teacher Sinisa Savic is just great so at the end you will have a good understanding of the retouching process. also you need to consider before you decide to join this course you need to have a good Photoshop knowledge otherwise you will waste time and money and this is my personal opinion.
Sinisa is a great artist and he will guide through step by step. You will need to practice a lot cause without practice 3 hours a week are not enough. I would love to proceed to the next level if there will be the opportunity. Definitely a great course.

The one to one tuition I had with Mikael was so valuable, as we could look at my personal requirements, and get the set-up right to support me. I have been twice, and both times, I lift my practice noticeably. I’ve been able to correct things that weren’t working and move on to what I like to be doing. I really enjoy that in a one-to-one things move at my pace, and its completely up to me to direct what I need to work on. I appreciate that I get professional advice on things I wouldn't necessarily have thought about but are important. I will definitely be going back.

An excellent three-hour intro to SLR photography with a patient and gifted teacher. A small group of just ten of us, seated around a rectangular table, so there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions related to your specific camera. As well as the essential basics, there were also some useful tips for helping you to move into the more complex dimensions of taking photos. Plus tea and biscuits !

I did this course with tutor Liane Harris in January 2015. I had some idea about photography from before but the depth in which Liane taught that day was quite intensive, which in turn cleared all my doubts and made me so friendly with my camera. I loved it...absolutely loved it!! I do recommend it, one hundred percent!! Definitely going back for more...

I cannot fault Photography Course London, from my first email to them through to my One To One tuition, I cannot speak highly enough of them. I've previously tried one other course in London (Covent Garden) but everything about Photography Course London was is a class apart. I can't wait to go back for the next part of my course.

I did a 121 on Photoshop session with Gary and I went there as a complete novice totally confused by it all. Following the course I came away with a pretty good understanding on how Photoshop functions and can now indulge in some pretty funky photo enhancements. Great Location and Facilities. The staff involved were all very kind and helpfull and I would recommend them to everyone.

Really enjoyed the beginners photography course. It took me through all the basics without leaving me bewildered by overloading on the technical jargon. Our tutor Adrian Wood was great - very informative and patient. Thank you!

I took the product photography / studio lighting course with Cleveland Aaron. He introduced me to all the correct techniques and the equipment needed to achieve the results I was looking for with minimal post-production. Altogether very informative and interesting, and highly recommended

Fantastic 1:1 tuition from Mikael Eliasson. I learnt so much about the manual functions on my camera, and how to balance them. He was calm, informative, helpful and encouraging throughout. I'll definitely be back for more help after a bit of practice.

I did the studio photography course with Bill Ling, and it was even better than I expected. Holborn studios is a beautiful and inspiring place to learn and shoot, and Bill Ling is one of the best teachers I've had the pleasure to learn from.

I've done 2 three hour group photoshop courses and have recently just done a one 2 one session, I have def learnt a lot from the sessions and have found them very useful. Everyone who I've met that works there has been really lovely too :)
I extremely recommend doing a course there.

I had a one to one course with Mikael - something I should have done ages ago. It was so useful to be able to ask exactly the questions I needed to know the answers to for how I work. I was avoiding finding out what lighting could help me and how to use lighting on the go effectively. This really helped. I have now purchased one or two light modifiers to help me and am raring to go!

The stock photography masterclass gave me the fundamental answers and clarity about the business I was looking for.
It was very fast paced and there was a lot to get through.
Overall very concise and informative.
Because of the intensity and amount of information given, I would have appreciated some handouts to take home.
But otherwise, a course that left you with a clear picture of the industry and how it works.

I attended the Introduction to the Darkroom course with Bill Ling. He was a top boy! We had a good amount of time to experiment and the session didn't get caught up in chemical jargon. Practical. Engaging. A good intro.

A fantastic one to one lesson with a very talented and knowledgeable photographer.
Would absolutely recommend this course to anyone who wishes for a little more specialized advice which they feel they cannot get from a group session.

A 3 hour one to one blast through street photography with Luke Forsythe! Absolutely brilliant fun and highly educational - I learnt so much and really feel this is going to add a new edge to my photographs. Luke was professional, amiable and full of passion for his subject - highly recommended! Thanks Luke!

Really great course which teaches you everything you need to know about your DSLR camera and how to get the most out of it.
I went there because I use photography for work, but after the course, I really wanted to take up photography as a hobby, it was just so inspiring!

The Beginner's Course is a fantastic introductory course which manages to cover all the basics whilst breaking down the walls with all those unknown functions a DSLR camera can do.

I’ve done a couple of courses here now and they’ve both been fantastic. Ian is super talented and glad he could share some of his wast knowledge with us. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone and i'm sure I will be back to do some more courses with you!
R. M.
The tutor focused on controlling exposure manually rather than using automatic controls; this is essential for gaining control of your photos. Because he spent a lot of time on this he did not cover the full content of the course stated on the website. This didn't matter to me, but it might have mattered to others. A fun, useful day.

I took the street photography course taught by Luke. Every single thing was taught in a nice and easy way; Its just amazing to see him how he enjoys when hes talking about photography. Great course; Highly recomended.

It was a very professional yet friendly and informal day. Well paced for a range of people, good detail without getting 'over technical'.
Perfect foundation like it says on the tin. Adrian is really good, patient and interested and really knows his stuff. Really encouraged questions and participation which really made the day work.
If you have any questions just ask.

I have recently completed the evening beginner digital photography course and I strongly recommend this to anyone who is trying to figure out how to start their photography journey and can't get their heads around camera settings and features.
Mikael is an extremely competent and professional teacher and there is a perfect balance between the classroom based teachings and the practical sessions. The admin team is also very responsive and accommodating.
By looking around online ,I believe this is course has the best balance between cost and quality.
Looking forward to attend more courses in the near future!
Thank you everyone.

I highly recommend this course, I recently went to the level 1 beginner photography day course and I learnt so much from the theory of using my camera as well as creative tricks to produce amazing looking photos. It's also great to get feedback face to face and instantly tackling any issues or questions I had. My photos have instantly improved and I have signed up to their diploma. Looking forward to joining the other classes they have to offer!

Thank you for a fantastic day. I started the course with very limited knowledge of how to operate my camera and now I feel like I know exactly what I need to do.
I would highly recommend the level 1 course for anyone wanting to learn key skills, fundamental to progress in photography.
