It's only been the first week but we're super happy with this choice.
We've opted for the hybrid approach and on the first on site day at pick up time the children were all beaming and bounced out of the doors!
There's so much to say, I'm confident this is the right choice.

Portland Place School, where do I begin… I initially joined in Year 7 amongst a few other friends from schools I went to prior, the education was impeccable and all the teachers were extremely engaging (especially the English and Mathematics departments). Come Year 10 we all notices that the school came to a large standstill after having 3 headmasters (1 of which left after a month) and multiple new teachers for a judicious range of different subjects. End of year 10 and we are told that the sixth form is closing down and we will now all have to search for new school is such short periods of time ( in all fairness we all had offers for DLD but then again, it can be very hard to settle in to a new environment without choice especially with the lack of time given to us). Year 11 the school really started to slope in terms of its education and general well being. There are multiple teachers whom are very friendly and caring although others are just flat out rude with no understanding of any situation. They take none of our requests seriously and get more worked up on things such as “uniform” as opposed to making it their primary concern that we are not finding the education in class up to our old standards after our parents paying such a large sum of money. Not only this but after, they have the audacity to ask our parents for “donations” when we leave by leaving our deposit, further placing them in a very awkward situation. In the end I couldn’t be more happy to be leaving this school and my final advice to any parents considering sending your children into this school is ask the year 10 students how they feel about it when you go to visit, thank you.

The hybrid school is genuinely fantastic. My daughter had a very difficult time post-lockdown and is now thriving there thanks to the brilliant staff, head teacher etc. Highly recommended!
