GIVE MISS JOHAL A PAY RISE! Amazing teacher who teaches the curriculum very well and prepares you for an exam better than any teacher you'll ever have! She is also the only teacher that will tell you how the real world works and not just academic things. e.g.How an interview works and CV etc which are not taught by any other teacher!

My son goes to this school and he's very happy. The headmaster Mr Mundy-Castle is a very positive and inspiring man. The progression this school is going through is quite brilliant. I have no doubt that RPA will go from Good to Outstanding in the next Ofsted report and it doesn't surprise me more and more East Sheen and Barnes families are now sending their kids here. Sixth Form students are now leaving here to go to Oxford. I felt compelled to leave a review because all the One Star reviews I'm reading on here don't seem to ring true with what we're seeing.

We have one child at the school in Y8 and one joining Y7 in September. Our daughter loves it and there is so much to get involved with beyond just academic work. The new head has really made a terrific impact since he arrived a couple of years ago and inspires enormous confidence that he will take this school 'outstanding' in the next few years.

I have one child who has been at the school for a few years and another about to join in September. These one star reviews do not remotely represent the school and look very much like an orchestrated campaign.
Mr Castle has built on the work of the previous head to turn the school around and if you want some evidence then just look at the uplift in exam results and the very recent Ofsted report for yourselves. Behaviour was highlighted as good and RPA is one of the most improved schools in the previous academic year. This forward momentum is continuing in this year.
Mr Castle has seriously addressed discipline and focus and made a lot of changes to teaching staff, and perhaps this does not sit well with some, but my son considers the school to be friendly and supportive, with engaging teaching and a whole host of enrichment opportunities. I have watched him thrive academically and discover new talents and have no concerns sending my youngest child there this year.

We have one daughter at the school and another starting in September. We are delighted with the education our eldest is receiving at the school and the progress she has made since leaving Barnes Primary. Mr Mundy Castle is an inspiring principal with great ambitions for the academy, and staff and students appear to share his grand plans with him.

- Studied here for five years so i'd like to write a review!
Positives:
+ New Headteacher (Mundy-Castle):
Has been actively trying to improve the school since his instatement,
-Constantly interviewing and employing better suited staff.
-Making alterations to the school campus.
-Changing school routines/timetable to ensure a healthy balance between study and breaks.
-Noticable delegation skills ensuring effective management.
-Acts on the the complaints brought by both students and parents.
-A cool dude.
+Above average campus.
+Many clubs and enrichment opportunities availiable for students to join and enjoy.
+6th form system/culture constanly being adjusted and improved for student benefit.
+ FREE Weekend classes and FREE educational residential trips are arranged in order to maximise study time.
+ English department is very good.
Negatives:
+ Strong bullying culture.
- Most bullying cases are found in KS3 however is not exclusive.
- ALMOST always brushed under the carpet.
- Teacher biases can prevent effective resolutions.
- Disproportionate resolutions are common.
+ Useless achivement point system.
+ Useless behavior incident point system.
+ Useless Year 11 prefect system. (As same duties are preformed by 6th formers who unlike the Year 11 prefects are paid for those duties)
But the tie is nice.
+ Phone confiscation system is too extreme:
1. Under no circumstances should a student who travels to school alone be without a phone, with regards to increases in crimes regarding young people.
2. Phones should not be confiscated over weekends as they can cause disruptions which yield more resent towards the school then anything.
3. Checking the time should not result in a loss of your mobile device - especially when teachers do the same.
+ School still recovering from the trash legacy left by Ms Kirby.
This review is exclusive to the experiences i have had in the school and will vary between each student.

A great school and environment for my 2 girls, now in year 11 & 9. New head taking it to another level, with right blend of discipline and fun. Effort the staff have put in with current year 11 GCSE cohort has been amazing.

I don't recognise at all the recent one star comments given here. If you're reading these and thinking of sending your kids to RPA I would double check the facts before taking these recent one star comments on face value. I have one boy here and another joining in September. The school is clearly on the up; '2018 Good' OFSTED report, 23% improvement on GCSE scores (in top 2% improvement nationally), 2 pupils got into Oxford in 2017. My boy is doing really well here. No complaints.

I got to RPA. It was hard to find my place but easy to speak. I'm starting year 8 now so I'm just going to focus on dance and school. I really recommend this school!

I have one son just completing y11 and one starting in September in y7. Our experience has always been positive and our son has had 5 happy years in RPA.
