Great Mental Health First Aid course delivered by a brilliant and engaging facilitator, but unfortunately there were very distracting building works going on next door, the fire alarm was tested a couple of times without warning, and there was only coffee - no tea available. I attended my First Aid at Work course today with Mick Veasey as my trainer. I was the only person in the course today but Mick done a fantastic teaching job. He took the time to make me feel comfortable and engage with me on all areas. He was extremely informative and left no stone unturned. No question was a bother and he answered them all making sure I understood all aspects. There were practical areas of the course such as CPR, dealing with someone choking and bandaging wounds he done this adhering to covid regulations ensuring he was cleaning dummy’s and wearing masks. Overall I was extremely happy and feel like I would have no issues implementing what I have learned today in a real life situation.

Mick has the most unique style of teaching that I have ever seen. I was sceptical at first but his practical knowledge clearly exceeds that of any textbook, or trainer using one. An entire day of my team having no choice but to be focused and engaged in the course. It was very educational whilst being thoroughly enjoyable. 1st Aid At Work 3 Day Course The Teacher Jonas is a fantastic and a truly inspirational instructor and trainer. I have attended many First Aid courses but this was by far one of the best, not at any point did anyone look bored. Jonas kept it fun and very interactive, with lots of equipment to play and use to help us build up our skills and self-confidence. He is a very good presenter, also very approachable, energetic, receptive, enthusiastic, supportive and a good motivator. His confidence and passion for what he was teaching came across absolutely superb, he made me feel at ease, his delivery is clear and to the point. He drew on some great examples and was great at keeping the energy levels up by ensuring we were all engaged. He helped to develop the confidence of all individuals by using hands on activities to bring out the best in me and to all the class, I thought the whole process from start to finish was superb. Finally Jonas genuinely inspired me and made me feel really supported and encouraged. A very much enjoyable course. Yesterday I attended the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work with Joanna in Victoria and I thought she was absolutely incredible! Honestly I cannot believe I enjoyed a first aid course so much. Her hilarious sense of humour mixed with clear passion and experience on the topic made the whole day really engaging. She made the content so manageable I actually left feeling confident in First Aid rather than overwhelmed and terrified like I have done before. If I'm honest I feel like her talents are wasted as a trainer and she should be on stage, but then she is clearly so happy where she is, which I loved. I wish she ran more courses, honestly I think I would attend a course on how to paint a wall just to listen to her again. I have already recommended to my company and colleagues.

My 3-day first aid course with Siren was brilliant It was run by Ash who made everything clear and understandable, before leaving at the end of the day he asked if anyone had any questions please stay behind and ask away I was also worried about taking an exam as I'm dyslexic but was reassured no exam is needed in this first aid course it's about understanding and taking in as much as you can so if and when the time comes you are able to use the first aid you've learnt. Before Christmas I did a 3 day First Aid Course - just to say I was REALLY impressed with KIRSTY as a trainer. Not only did she know her subject but she could get it across in a really easy manor, she was likeable which always helpful. Having worked in an environment where she's actually used her skills, gives her a distinct advantage. Now it's down to me but hopefully what she told us will linger long in the memory, and if ever needed she'll be my 'virtual' assistant. Off the back of a very average 2 day training course (elsewhere & on another subject) she was a breath of fresh air.
