Jalal is a great teacher and I really enjoyed learning at Arabic Language Solutions. I did my lessons in Goodge St which was a great location in Central London. Online was also on offer but I chose face to face. Jalal helped me make good progress and adjusted the pace whenever I found things difficult. I have been studying Arabic with Jalal since July 2019. He is very attentive to your individual needs and makes the lesson very enjoyable. He focuses a lot on practicing speaking, reading and listening during the class and we practice our writing for homework. My Arabic has definitely improved and my vocabulary has expanded! I have been studying Arabic with Jalal for the past two months and I really enjoy his teaching method. I have joined as a beginner and already can notice the progress I have made. During the class we focus on pronunciation, grammar structure and learning new vocabulary. We use the main book, but Jalal provides additional teaching materials, what is especially useful if you want to practice more and expand your knowledge on a subject. He is also very patient when it comes to explaining more difficult topics and adapts to student’s needs. No matter what is your level, I would highly recommend studying with Jalal.

He is very professional and tailors the lessons to your level, whilst incorporating vocabulary from current topics, or relevant for your type of work. I am focussing on Modern Standard Arabic but he also incorporates some dialect vocabulary in a clear way, so I know how to speak with people wherever I travel. I cannot see myself studying Arabic elsewhere. The classes are engaging and paced to suit the needs of the class. The content provided helps improve your reading, writing and speaking ability. We take the time to review materials in Modern Standard Arabic and a dialect, which I appreciate as it provides you with an understanding of local culture. Every class ends with recommendations to further our own learning with material Jalal provides, which he then takes the time to provide constructive criticism. I have seen a huge improvement in myself this past year. I would wholeheartedly recommend studying with Jalal.

I had 10 beginner lessons with Jalal at ALS and I cannot believe how much I have learnt! Jalal is a fantastic teacher, very engaging, friendly and patient. The individual lessons always covered a range of reading, speaking and writing and Jalal always made sure my pronunciation was correct (so important!). Jalal provided me with online material to help my learning between lessons and he is even available on Whats App where I could send voice notes or messages in Arabic for him to check. Not only all of this, but my work hours are unpredictable and some weeks I couldn't make our agreed time, however Jalal was able to accommodate me and re-arrange so that I didn't lose my lesson!! I can't wait to book more lessons, I am so happy at how much I learnt in only 10 lessons. I would recommend ALS to anyone interested in learning Arabic, on a professional level or as a hobby. !!شكرا جزيلا

I have been learning Arabic with Jalal on a one-to-one basis for the past three months and I am extremely impressed with his skills as a teacher. As a complete beginner, not only to Arabic but to learning a foreign language in general, I was nervous about starting the lessons. I was worried that learning a difficult language remotely would be impossible. To compound matters, I'm terrible with technology and I was worried that learning via Zoom would be beyond me. I shouldn't have worried; Jalal is patient, kind and structures the pace and content of the lessons to my ability. Lessons are enjoyable and Jalal has an excellent way of making even dry topics (verb conjugation anybody?) engaging. Jalal is excellent with technology and is able to expertly talk me through anything I need to do (thanks to Jalal I'm now proficient with Zoom, DropBox, Microsoft Teams and an Arabic keyboard!). Jalal is clearly passionate in his work and it shows. Jalal has created a vast amount of additional material and practice exercises to support the use of the Mastering Arabic textbooks. I find this additional material extremely useful in consolidating my learning, often providing far more clarity than the textbook. The sooner Jalal writes an Arabic textbook the better! Jalal's commitment to his students is admirable. Jalal makes himself available for advice and support outside of our scheduled lessons and actively encourages me to run questions by him as and when they come up during study in my own time. Jalal has made a difficult subject accessible and I'm approaching my A2 exam with a confidence that I wouldn't have believed was possible a few short months ago.

Great Communication, and learning resources. The teacher really focuses and hones in on your pronunciation and speaking which is a huge part of speaking Arabic fluently and being understood by native speakers. Good knowledge on the etymology of words which also really helps when learning advanced Arabic.
