Could not recommend more!! Amazing videos, condensing the look of the whole a-level biology course into easy to understand video tutorials. The videos give you the essentials - everything you need to pass and get a good grade in A-level Biology. I went from getting a D at AS last year to a A in my current mocks Such great things to use alongside class learning and exam questions. If you're struggling with biology, or are looking for a better way to study, tailored tutors is definitely for you!

I did basically no revision during year 12, and around Christmas time in year 13 I realised the huge amount of content that I had to revise for Paper 1 of Biology, in addition to the content I was still learning in class. I hired a private tutor to help me get back on track, but 3 hours a week of supervised help for around £100 was too costly and wasn't enough to bridge the gap. I was feeling nothing but fear and regret due to my poor planning and for not taking my A-Levels seriously. I had lost hope of going to university. However, that was when I discovered Tailored Tutors. This site single-handedly saved my Biology grades. I went from getting a D in my Christmas mock to having sat all my A-level exams with genuine hope of an A*. (I sat my last Biology exam the morning of writing this review) The ultimate guide contains all the content for the A-Level Biology course, and everything is explained in concise videos which made writing notes and understanding tough concepts a lot easier than any book I've used. There are also videos for mathematical and statistical skills which I always struggled to wrap my head around. And not to forget the practical skills videos. I never understood why certain techniques were used in class and I always felt embarrassed asking questions in class when all the other students seemed to understand what they were doing. Tailored Tutors had the answers to all my questions, and spared me the embarrassment of looking clueless in front of my classmates. In fact, my confidence in lessons increased and my friends even began asking me to explain certain concepts for them! I consider myself to be very lucky to have found this site as I would have been completely lost without it. I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

Probably the thing that has truly saved my grades! Tailor tutor is must who struggle with biology like me. I just watched one Web video of tailor tutor on biology and I was impressed. After an hour later I brought the whole package of biology kit. I was so happy and I got the hope to move my grade up in biology. It was the best so far in my life. It saved my life. There were so many things before that I never got and which I tried a lot to understand. But tailor tutor helped me to understand the key of biology and it gave me the exact idea what to write in my paper. And there was half of my paper that were exactly asking the same thing that were taught by tailor tutor before. I am so glad that I bought it.

This is a very informative website with lots of detailed information of what is covered in each exam board. It helps a student with exam technique as well as excellent terminology to get you a high grade. I was recommended by a friend for this website and I instantly bought it knowing that it would help me. It gave me a lot more confidence in sitting my exams as most of the content talks you through what potential questions they can ask you, and some of them came up in the A level biology exam. I would highly recommend this site to anyone- it is just a small price to pay for what you could be potentially achieving.

I honestly cannot recommend enough, I'm a private student studying from home and the books are good, but a lot of waffle is given. These videos tell you exactly what you need to know to pass the exams. Every private student should be looking at these. Can honestly say I wouldnt have done as well in my exams without these videos helping me make my notes.

Tailored Tutors saved me in Biology. I did OCR and was averaging an E in exam weeks but after a few weeks of studying I was getting Cs!! It doesn’t seem like a huge difference but it meant the world to me. The videos are incredibly helpful and Rich (the bio man) lays the content out so so well!! They’re very handy for lengthy processes (e.g. protein synthesis, respiration, photosynthesis). The British education system was and will continue to be tough on us and I’ve finally just finished my A-levels. Although Biology was definitely tough, I would never have gotten this far if it wasn’t for Tailored Tutors. Thank you so much!! :)

I gave 4 stars but I would rather give 4.5 stars. Actually 4.6. I used the A Level Biology course primarily as part of my penultimate revision round in March-June. At that time I had a good understanding of the content but TT was immensely useful to consolidate my understanding as well as ironing out misconceptions and providing more smooth, eloquent and exam oriented explanations of key processes such as photosynthesis and respiration. The most useful feature was being able to ask very specific, and what I would consider difficult, questions both on tutorials and live past paper walkthroughs and other live sessions and being responded promptly with excellent, high quality explanations that I could tell a person with a genuine conscious desire to help and sound subject knowledge had wrote. Watching Rich work through exam questions live and reflecting on his way of thinking around hard questions with upmost logic and rationale was incredibly exemplary for my own exam approach, making the most difficult and seemingly impossible part of the course much more possible and accessible. You can access the videos at any time and go at your own pace - I think despite the lack of actual physical social interaction, online learning always trumps classroom learning - in my opinion and experience at least. Whilst the relentless focus on exam based learning is impressive and mostly effective, I do think at times the tutorials can be overly simplistic and miss out important details that I have seen probed on in the new spec papers more - I wouldn’t take the chance on purely learning these details from past papers, and would rather just learn the extra points in the textbook for these areas. I think a little bit more transition from old spec to new spec is needed, at least for new spec OCR, which I’ve heard is more detail specific relative to other exam boards. I found myself able to answer these questions using my notes made from the OCR endorsed textbook, Hodder revision guide and random YT videos. I can’t comment on using TT (and exam papers) solely because I didn’t. However, I will say it is the best resource I have used. Outside of the biology content, Tailored Tutors unites students from across the country and has a really pleasant communal feeling with students who are engaged, motivated and relatable, and amazing teachers who have a wider interest in improving education standards and with passion that shines through. If you’re interested in teaching yourself, you can learn from one of the best teachers here. On a final note, one thing I heard Rich say in a live stream was the importance of maximising output in terms of grade for A level biology but minimising the time investment, i.e. by working efficiently in the time you dedicate to your studies so you don’t need to spend any more time than necessary to be successful - TT definitely delivers on this. I got an A* in biology and definitely think TT helped propel me over the A* grade boundary. I got 3 A*s overall and TT enabled me to maximise my time efficiency so indirectly helped me to achieve that! DISCLAIMER: If you’re a bit apprehensive about the truthfulness of reviews like me, I want to put you at ease (though I’m sure it’s not that deep) by saying this is a genuine and completely impartial review and I’m not writing this because I want to participate in a competition or any other motivations people have for writing reviews. This is a bit long for a review. Okay, I’m going now because there’s a massive spider scurrying around the room and I feel so ticklish imagining it on me ahh.

It is without a doubt the best tool out there for revision . The videos are concise and informative and cover everything in the specification . You will literally not even need to buy a textbook which waffles on far too much. It might seem a bit expensive but it far outweighs the other revision sites such as snaprevise and it will be the best money you ever spent. Don't compromise on your education as it is guranteed to boost your grade by at least one grade or more. You genuinely will not regret buying it !!

Subscribing to TT was without doubt the best move I have ever made towards my education. During AS biology I felt lost in the content and consequently put in little effort and came out with a grade E. I considered dropping biology all together but decided to stick with it when looking at universities I could apply to. I worked hard during my first few terms but still struggled to catch up after missing practically all of the AS content (my mock grade in December was a D). I came across an advert for TT on YouTube and took out the free trial immediately. The simplicity of the website and the complex content condensed down into 5 minute videos had me sold - I purchased the full package after my trial ended. Within one week I had gone from being the most clueless person in class to the only person answering the majority of the questions! My favourite aspects of the TT course were: ~ the 'percentage complete' feature (the fact that you can see your physical numerical process is so motivating, unlike slogging over a textbook for endless hours) ~ Rich the tutor (was super positive and enthusiastic in all the videos; this made even the most boring topics interesting) ~ EVERY area of the biology A level course is covered (I struggled hugely with the practical questions as I could not remember doing them in class, only to find out that TT has an entire section covering every core practical!) Overall, I could not recommend TT enough! I literally went from a grade E to an A in a matter of months and ended up with the best grade out of everyone person in my A level class. TT has not only physically opened doors for me to some of the best universities in the world but has also given me the confidence and inspiration to pursue a career in a subject that only months ago, I despised. If you are attempting to achieve a high grade in biology but are extremely pressed for time (as I was), then this is definitely the course for you. Or if you are simply looking to improve your grade and understand some of the most complex A level content in short 5 minute videos, then I cannot recommend TT enough! * I can attach photos of my results before and after using TT for anyone that wants to see physical proof that the course really works! *
