The customer service at Tea & Crafting was absolutely brilliant - very warm and helpful responses when I had questions about the course. And the class itself was amazing! Very professionally run, but also super relaxed and fun. The class I took was Beginners' Brush Calligraphy with Charlotte from Itchy & Sketchy, who did a great job of reassuring us throughout the class and giving lots of helpful tips. I really wasn't expecting to learn as much in one class, or to feel so completely chilled out throughout (I'm a bit of a perfectionist!), so the class definitely exceeded my already-high expectations. Thank you!

This place is a little gem hidden in Covent Garden. We had such a fun morning here as part of my daughters hen weekend. Between us we had every level of crafting skill from complete novice to expert and our host tailored the session to suit all abilities. By lunchtime we were all justifiably proud of our individual contribution to a length of bunting. There was plenty of tea and cake on offer and our grateful thanks go to our host, Shelley, but especially to Jane who went to so much trouble to source exactly the right fabric for the wedding theme and to Daria who was in touch frequently in the run up to the event checking every last detail. Thanks again.

We did a Winter Vegan Candle Making workshop as a team building Christmas activity and it was absolutely fabulous.
Everyone in the team has really enjoyed the experience and were extremely pleased with the prompt postage of packages in the UK and abroad, which all came in time.
The candles have turned out smooth and extremely cute, smelling really lovely. Additionally all organic, so burning them is absolutely safe. I found that these candles can work great as Christmas presents and this workshop gave me enough knowledge about candle making to order more materials separately and make another batch.
Lastly, the workshop facilitation is really knowledge and explained a lot about the candle making process and was able to spark lots of interest to it.
Highly recommended!

Lovely company. I discovered Tea and Crafting online a few years ago and organised my sister’s hen party there, we made some beautiful bunting that she then used to decorate her wedding venue. Since then I’ve experienced two online workshops, one for paper piecing and how to make your own dungarees! Both were great, I thought the sessions were well planned and I felt a real sense of achievement after completing them. Great value for money too!
Jane is absolutely lovely, gets back to you quickly with any problems and happy to answer any questions before or after the courses as well.

I organised a Baby Shower at Tea and Crafting - it was a great decision! Maddie looked after us brilliantly, the space looked beautiful - so colourful and bright - and everyone had a fantastic time. The mum-to-be went home with a really lovely, totally eclectic mobile, complete with a bunny, sun, Russian doll and ice cream made by her best friends, you couldn’t buy one of those in the shops!

We had the BEST time on Saturday making candles for my birthday! I was made to feel really special. We all learnt a lot from our knowledgeable tutor and have all tried our candles out and are absolutely delighted with them. Thank you so much for making the day so special.

We hosted my friends baby shower at tea and crafting and it was great. Maddie was so lovely and helpful when I was organising it and Paola was an excellent teacher! Would highly recommend ☺️

I love crafting and obsessed with tea so when I found this place online I couldn't believe it. It's tucked away in Covent garden and has some great classes. I went for the large knit pillow. It was really easy to follow, the tutor was great and really made sure everyone was happy with their work and understood it all. As well as giving tips on future projects. Had a great time learning a new skill and of course we were given tea and cake! The studio is adorable! It has craft projects all over the room and wall which really make it come to life! I do think perhaps my expectations were a little high I was expecting it to be more like an afternoon tea styled but got tea in paper cups and a few cupcakes. Not complaining however as I was happy doing the class without any extras!

I've attended two workshops, needlepoint and knitting and both were great!! They really take the time to explain everything step by step and answer any question you may have. Jane was so kind and patient when I couldn't knit (online class) and I finally managed to create my own knitted pumpkin thanks to her! I definitely recommend any workshop they offer and I'll certainly do some other ones in the future.

Over the years I have done a number of Tea & Crafting workshops in person, and over the last couple of months have done a couple of their new online workshops too. The quality of teaching is always excellent, Tea & Crafting have brilliant tutors who can't do enough to help you and make sure that you understand your new crafty skill. I can't recommend their classes highly enough!

Our team had a candle making workshop and it was amazing! The instructor was very knowledgeable and the workshop went so smoothly. The kits were delivered on time (smells like heaven).
I would definitely recommend Tea&Crafting.

I've attended two workshops at Tea & Crafting (screen printing + knitting) and I enjoyed both... I returned home on both occasions with a wealth of new skills and hand made goodies to cherish.

A really cosy place for a baby shower. We opted to make a quilt, we had a teacher who showed us what to do then let us get on with it. The room had AC which was amazing for v the hot v summer day that we were there. We brought our own snacks to go with the cupcakes provided. All in all a lovely day. Many thanks Jane.

Putting on entertaining events for a large company during lockdown is hard...but Tea and Crafting ticket all the boxes! We had a large group do the macrame and lino printing workshops. Fantastic service from start to finish, Jane and the team didnt miss a beat. A+ Would highly recommend.

Would recommend the online workshops. I attended a virtual workshop to knit an Easter bunny. When my materials were delayed in the post (not Tea and Crafting’s fault, just a Royal Mail covid-related delay along with all my other post) they booked me on a later course which was appreciated.
On the day I had fun at the course; it was relaxing and pitched at just the right pace/level. I was particularly impressed with the tech set up - the main view switches between the instructor’s face (for the explanation bits) and the instructor’s hands (for the knitting demonstration bits). The smaller boxes had all our faces in them and people were able to chat which gave the personal touch. While tech is always a bit unpredictable, the Zoom platform was easy to join and Jane had a 3G on standby for any internet outages which worked really well.
The bunny I made has been much admired and I now feel a lot more confident with my home knitting projects! I would attend a class again - maybe even something more ambitious...

I have learnt many craft skills since the early Tea and Crafting days; in Bloomsbury, Camden and latterly Covent Garden. Granny squares was my first class, then crochet flowers, needlefelting, frame purses, decorating Christmas baubles, embroidery, resin jewellery, knitting hats for Innocent smoothie bottles, lunchtime jewellery....
All with the eponymous tea and cake! Jane and her tutors are very knowledgable, patient and friendly and make the classes great fun. I haven’t felt I’ve missed out recently either, as I have had two virtual classes by Zoom this week; c2c crochet with Maddie and dyeing with natural ingredients with Jane. I couldn’t recommend T&C more highly. Whether in the beautiful Covent Garden studio or at home you will have a great experience, learn a new skill, and come away with something you can be proud of making!

I did an online beginners crochet class - it was brilliant! Jane explained everything very clearly and the individual attention and checking we all had everything right was almost as good as if we had been there in person. I was really happy with what I had managed to achieve by the end of the class - I even got up early the next morning to have another go before work!

I cannot say how amazing and good for the soul tea and crafting is! I loved their face to face classes, but their online classes have literally kept me going through the current pandemic. I LOVE being able to participate in a crafty class from my own home. Cannot recommend them enough!

Oh my goodness we had a such lovely time!!
We had planned a surprise Quilt Making afternoon for a baby shower - Maddie & Jane were great in their organisation and communications in preparation for the day.
The mum-to-be was genuinely moved and impressed by the venue, activity and prospect of the finished article.
Our teacher Hannah was great – clear and consistent instructions, very encouraging, super helpful and thankfully patient with those of us who were absolute novices.
The studio was such a beautiful & joyful space too & the team had added some super thoughtful touches for our avant-garde theme, right down to the cupcakes!!!
We’ve been looking through the other classes on offer and am confident we’ll be back pretty soon.
Thank you ladies.

I bought two on-line crochet course and they were great to the point that I'm always checking the website to buy new courses. The tutors were great and explain everything in a way that was ease to follow. I do recommend Tea and Crafting.

I did an online embroidery class with Maddie. Her instruction was excellent, clear and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend these workshops to people. I will be having a look to see what I can book next!
J. C.
I did the online origami bauble class and really enjoyed it. Maddie was extremely patient and determined that everyone would be pleased with their results. Follow up after the session was excellent.

I took the Cross Stitching class this past weekend, and had a fantastic time! The studio space is really bright and welcoming, and the teacher was great. I highly recommend taking a class (or more!) at Tea and Crafting!
W. R.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the online classes and am so grateful to have found this community online. Thank you for connecting us to crafts during lockdown! Great teachers and they even send you the kits to use in the class. Awesome!

I have had nothing but great experiences working with Jane and the team. From the initial conversation, through to execution, everything is handled with professionalism and warmth.
Jane has a talent for coming up with weird and wonderful ideas, which are always creative, but in line with the briefs which are provided to her.
I would recommend Jane for any event, she is absolutely fantastic.
W. J.
The online workshops have been absolutely brilliant. I have throughly enjoyed them and done 2 workshops already. I have learnt so much and will be signing up to more workshops. Highly recommend Tea and Crafting.
A. B.
I’ve done two classes with Tea and Crafting, paper flower making a few years ago, and a virtual punch needle embroidery. Jane is so lovely and helpful and the classes so wonderful.

I had been to the Camden location for a purse making class (which was in itself a lot of fun and highly recommend!) so I knew of their classes already. When it came to organising a hen-do with a requirement to have some kind of crafting, I knew exactly who I should get in touch with.
Jane was great with emails and sending through all the information I needed to make a decision on the class. She was really flexible with what we would be making and made sure it fit with the theme, in this instance it was 80s. We had the class at a pub Tea & Crafting had worked with before so that was great, and one less stress about space!
On the day, the class was lots of fun and Jane was great with all the materials provided including cakes for the hens and bride-to-be! She went above and beyond by helping people out with their leg-warmers. The whole session was fantastic.
I would highly recommend the team at Tea and Crafting for any kind of celebration, and also for their classes. They have so many!

My friend and I attended an Arm Knitting Cushion class last week and really enjoyed ourselves and the final product. I’d thoroughly recommend the classes at Tea & Crafting for anyone looking for a fun and relaxed way to spend a couple of hours learning something crafty & new.
C. F.
Did a mitten knitting class and absolutely loved it! The instructor was very friendly and patient even though I had not knitted in a long time and was having a hard time keeping up. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to get into crafting or knitting or to do a fun holiday project.

i had a great time at tea and crafting. i did a sewing machine introduction class. it was a fun experience. i leaved the workshop with a confidence to use the sewing machine and to start to some small projects myself. i certainly look forward to doing more classes there!

I've been to 2 other classes at Tea and Crafting and loved it so much I requested that part of my hen do involved a class here. Jane was very accommodating with booking the class as it was a bit late notice. We chose to do bunting making and the 8 of us, despite some having less crafting experience than others, all had a blast. The teacher, Julie, was very patient with the giggly lot of us and the bunting turned out fabulous and we will be using it to decorate our wedding venue. Thank you Jane, we'll definitely be back for more! x

I have now attended two workshops at Tea and Crafting in the past few months. The first class was a private booking for a baby shower where all attendees were provided with materials to embroider babygrows for the mother-to-be. The second workshop I attended last week for a macramé plant hanger workshop.
I have really enjoyed both workshops! Tea and Crafting is a really cosy workspace with lots of examples of the classes they offer adorning the walls. The instructors provide all the materials you need (and will let you know in advance if any particular classes require you to bring anything) and are all clearly really passoniate about their areas of crafting expertise. My most recent class was led by Kimberley, who was incredibly friendly and helpful with helping us craft our plant hangers. You can ask for as much help as you need, or crack on if you're already confident in your abilities so people at different skills levels can still attend together. Plentiful of refreshments are on offer throughout the class, and the workshop room is powered with AC (which was very much appreciated during last week's weather!)
There are so many classes in the timetable that there really is something for everyone to try, and the instructors are more than happy to advise on where you can find supplies and tutorials for future projects to keep crafting even when the class is over. Will definitely be coming back soon to try something new!
R. B.
I have been to two of Jane's very enjoyable and friendly classes - espradrille making and clutch bag making, both with my sister. We had an awesome time and came away with lovely handmade items to cherish. Will definitely be attending some more in the future!

Attended a beginners granny square crochet course on the morning of Sunday 19 March with Jane. The location of Camden Lock was ideal for me as I live in North London. The workshop was very easy to find on the 2nd floor, there is a board outside the entrance as well. A very warm welcome from Jane, who immediately offered me a cup of coffee. Which was gratefully received! The workshop room was cosy and inviting, and I felt very comfortable and relaxed. The course itself was very well structured, and we were given a chart to help assist as we were going along and completing our granny square. Jane was on hand the whole time, and was constantly walking around to see who needed assistance and checking our work. I thoroughly enjoyed this course, and it more than lived up to my expectations. As soon as I got home I completed 3 more granny squares! I also practised more crochet Monday evening when I arrived home from work.
I would like to give this 10 stars if I could, and I would highly recommend it for anyone who would like to learn to crochet. I enjoyed it so much I am going to book another one of Jane's courses for crochet.

Three of us took part in a calliigraphy workshop last Sunday! Was great fun, the lady who took the class was really friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend! Thanks tea and crafting! Sophie :)

I attended the lino block printing workshop on the 14 January 2014 after reading reviews about other workshops held at Tea and Crafting. I was eagerly embarking on a new year's resolution to undertake some new, creative skills and this seemed like the ideal opportunity to challenge myself.
I had such a wonderful time at the workshop- it was relatively easy to find, located right in Camden Lock with a helpful sign strategically placed outside. The workshop takes place in a small but amply decorated room, allowing an intimate feeling and the opportunity to chat with the instructor and other attendees. It feels very social and supportive- we were equally as excited to see how everyone else's designs turned out as we were to see our own results! Our instructor was very engaging and took time with everyone so that all attendees left extremely happy with the results of their designs and final prints. I learned a new skill that I am going to exercise again in the near future and I am already looking at a starter lino kit to purchase for card making.
For this workshop in particular, I would encourage you to have a few designs in mind and even sketched in advance so that you are ready to get stuck into carving away at your stamp; this allows you to spend more time getting your textures and lines just as you envision them. I felt it removed the stress of having to come up with something on the spot as well, as my creativity is limited under pressure!
I will certainly be trying another workshop hosted by Tea and Crafting- I have my mind set on the beginner's knitting workshop- and would recommend this to anyone who is eager to try something different in a relaxed and encouraging environment. It represented great value as well, as all supplies were provided and we got to take out stamp home along with some printed cards, envelopes, tags and a paper bag. More importantly, tea, coffee and some tempting cakes were also provided.
Thank you again to Jane for organising the lino stamp workshop, who was ever so pleasant and helpful throughout the course. This was the inaugural evening for this particular workshop and I hope more unusual choices for crafting courses are offered in the future.

I had such a great time in the Beginner's Knitting workshop in October with Natalie. She taught us all the basics and was so knowledgeable and friendly. The space is very cosy, hidden away above the Camden Market in some of the office type spaces (not shops). I can't wait to go back for another class!

I had a great knitting class with Jane who is a fabulous teacher. Not only was it fun but I also learnt a lot. I am definitely now planning on attending some of the workshops.

A lovely hen party morning in a lovely location - an oasis of calm in the chaos of the Camden markets! We all really enjoyed our activity, guided patiently by an encouraging Holly. The room was bright and light and full of handmade things which provided lots of inspiration, even if our finished items didn't look quite as expert... The cakes were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Booking with Jane made the fairly stressful task of organising a hen party a doddle; she was very friendly and provided lots of information, as well as other ideas for things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend Tea & Crafting for anyone looking to do this type of activity for a hen party!

Thank you so much for a great workshop on Saturday. Jane has a lovely friendly style, made everyone feel relaxed and at home and provided great support and tuition during the workshop. All with plenty of tea and cake. All the hens seemed to really enjoy themselves and I think we'll be seeing a few of the fascinators at the wedding at the end of the month.

I attended my first tea & crafting class this week, Beginners Brush Lettering Calligraphy. It took place on a Monday evening between 7pm and 9.30pm. The location is great, right in the centre of London on the edge of beautiful Covent Garden. The space is hard to find but if you follow the instructions clearly you'll find it. The teacher provided a warm welcome and we all arrived. Everyone who attended came on their own which is quite nice to know as the evening is an opportunity to socialise with new people. The lesson was amazing. We learnt all about the history of calligraphy and brush calligraphy and even history about the ink we were using. Brush Lettering Calligraphy is harder than I expected but we were guided through the steps well and came away having learnt the basics to continue practicing at home. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

We all really enjoyed our shoe decorating workshop which I organised for my friend's hen do. Tea and Crafting gave us lots of inspiration and materials, while at the same time giving us the freedom to create our own designs. This class was relaxed which was exactly what we needed to help us unwind and conclude a busy hens weekend! And it was strangely very therapeutic turning some simple shoes into a snazzy addition to our wardrobe. I would recommend this workshop if you have a bunch of creative girls who want use their imaginative and artistic flare!

A brilliant hen do activity. We all made patchwork squares for a quilt for the bride to be and enjoyed some tea and cupcakes. We also brought our own prosecco and some other snacks which I would recommend for a party feel :)
It was a great way for everyone to get involved including family and friends. And bond over how difficult it is to thread a needle one or two drinks down...
Thanks Zoe/Jane!

Jane at Tea and crafting helped me plan a super special hen do for my Twin Sister this May.
Jane was brilliant! She was quick to communicate with me when I requested an afternoon at their place. Sadly they were fully booked but she was good enough to send Amy out to our own venue.
All the girls said how much they enjoyed it (even the beginners) and especially the Bride-to-be! We each made a quilt patch which will be put together into a big quilt and given to her to keep as a menento of the day.
Jane even organised pretty little bags for the girls who were unable to make it so they could still be part of it all and was so thoughtful asking about the wedding colours so she could choose material that suited the bride.
Thank you so much for making it such a special day! I will be recommending you to anyone hosting a Hen do and wanting to do something different....

Jane helped me to co-ordinate a birthday surprise for a very good friend of mine and it was just perfect. The atmosphere and the space were just fabulous; everything felt really homely. We had a freshwater pearl bracelet making lesson which was so much fun and Jane was a brilliant (and patient) teacher. My friend absolutely loved her surprise, including all of the little touches of tea, treats and her name on the chalkboard. Thanks Jane for a wonderful experience, I look forward to going to a couple of the other workshops too :-)
E. L.
Awesome online workshops! Really clear and friendly and helped me pick up some new skills to get me through quarantine :)

As a result of the sewing workshop I have discovered a love of sewing and have made lots of adorable little girls dresses. The class was great fun and I left with such a sense of achievement and a great energy and enthusiam for sewing! I want to sign up to more classes as my love of all things crafty continues to grow!!!
o.
Camden Lock on a Sat morning, there I was for my crochet workshop: easily accessible location, a cute bright room. Although not a complete beginner I felt the class was just great on refreshing the basics of crochet in a friendly environment - lots of chat, tea, and crafting as well! Can't wait to go back for another workshop ;)
H. M.
I took my mum to the modern calligraphy workshop on Sunday for her Christmas present. We both really enjoyed it - the teacher was knowledgeable and really friendly, the space was nice and the atmosphere lovely. My only criticism is that it was a little cold - but Sunday was a freezing day in London.
C. B.
My 2 hour Learn to Crochet a Granny Square did exactly what it said on the tin! I left the class knowing how to crochet, with a Granny Square in my bag. The teacher presented the information well and had a great knowledge of her subject, the workshop was sweetly decorated and the class size was just right. The price was competitive and inclusive of all materials and tools, making it even better value. I have been happily making crochet ever since! Highly recommended.
E. S.
I've been to 4 workshops at Tea and Crafting now, lampshade making (a private team building session), modern calligraphy, felt Christmas wreath making and terrarium making. I've also got another two workshops coming up.
All the tutors have been wonderful and really good at introducing you to new crafts, patient at explaining and you leave with something you can truly be proud of.
Whether it's a gift voucher, class, team building or just something to do on your own, I highly recommend tea & crafting!

I had such a fun evening learning to crochet a Granny Square here - the teacher was so helpful, and we all completed some (slightly wonky!) squares by the end of the class! Highly recommended!
C. S.
I did a beginner's crochet granny square course on Sunday morning. It was great - I am a good knitter and have wanted to learn crochet for a while, this course really gave me the confidence to have a go. I even crocheted another granny square on my own when I got home!

A group of thirteen of us celebrated my sister's hen party beginning with a craft class at Tea+Crafting. We made beautiful fresh water pearl bracelets, learning the particular skill of knot-tying between the pearls. Even the not-so-crafty among us were successful and proud of our finished bracelets, thanks to our lovely+patient tutor, Julie. We bought our own savoury treats and bubbly to share. Tea+coffee supplied was lovely, but the supermarket muffins were a bit disappointing. Communicating with Jane about booking and other details in the lead-up was really easy and pleasant.
J. B.
Jane helped me to organise a crafty hen afternoon for my friend. It was a great afternoon and we made fascinators, whilst sipping on champers and eating lovely cake! It was great that we could bring our own alcohol and nibbles and the tea and cake provided by Jane were lovely. Jane was really helpful in answering all my queries in the run up to the event and the day was a real success. I would recommend tea and crafting as a fab hen party venue for a crafty bride to be!
S. C.
Thank you Jane! You helped make organising a hen party for 16 so much easier and fun than it could have been. We all enjoyed ourselves, especially the bride. I didn't realise garter making would involve that much laughter! The location was convenient and the room itself was spacious and welcoming. Your patience and welcome really made a difference.

I have had a great time learning crochet with Holly at Tea and Crafting. I have done Granny squares, heart bunting and granny stripes. I managed crochet a star on my own putting all the skills I have learned together. I plan on crocheting my pregnant friend a granny stripe blanket. You get lovely handouts emailed to you by Jane that are yours to keep. At the workshop you get unlimited tea and a cake.
The help doesn't stop at the class you can email tea and crafting if you are stuck with something you have learned at the class or a pattern you are stuck on. I recommend anyone to try one of there classes.
J. S.
A great space with a great teacher for the Granny Squares crochet class. I just wish I had all the time and money to do all the classes!

Lovely workshop and Holly is a great teacher (crochet), patient and sweet. I would recommend it to beginners and intermediate level who wish to improve their skills.

I really enjoyed the class, the teacher was very knowledgeable and nice, i will look to book another class soon
