D. G.As far as I can tell, this is the ONLY decent school in Enfield. I regularly tutor A-level chemistry, physics and maths students from this school and all the one's I've had seem to be hard working and capable. However, there do seem to be some worrying trends. I'm informed that the latest head's background is totally unsuited to managing a highly selective school. This shows in her selection of some recent STEM teachers who appear to be VERY POOR. The brightest kids need the very best teachers: something this head seems to be totally oblivious to.
I feel compelled to warn parents that the employment of really poor teachers is continuing apace. In particular a lot of the A-level maths "teaching" is now absolutely appalling! I regularly see students having most of their lesson wasted on note taking. The textbooks already explain things far better than the pathetic notes that students have wasted their time copying. This is NOT teaching!
A. M.My twins are sitting for their 11+ test today. Admins at the office are very organised. Replies to emails straightway and don't make you wait.

J. S.It’s a good school. They help you more if you want to go to oxbridge, but if not they don’t really try to help. There are a lot of resources, like the music building but you have to pay like £30 an hour for a lesson. I think the students can be in a bubble and not know what the ‘real’ world is like. I.e. a comprehensive school. It’s mostly middle class. When I was there seemed like a racial divide. Mostly white groups stick together and then mostly poc. Also the kids from comprehensives would stick together in sixth form. I sometimes feel the school was not as progressive as my comprehensive . The boys would dominate the class with their ‘banter’ (a word that didn’t exist in my old school) and I felt the girls were more confident at my comprehensive. Sometimes feels like an American Hugh school with the popular kids and not so popular kids
o.Yeah I like it so far. Met nice people and some weird kids but it generally decent. Can they add crisps to the cafeteria. Would make the school a hell lot better. Oh yeah and lemonade.
A. J.Very good school doing its best under tough budget constraints. Almost all students are highly motivated towards their studies, a lot of extra curricular going on as well.
C. D. T.Large canteen hall space used can comfortably hold 200-250 people. Lots of parking and grass area. Disabled access. Contact Celebrations Direct about decoration.
L. A.Exceptional in certain departments but most certainly lacking in others. Brilliant community work but teachers seem oblivious to the obvious issues some pupils are facing.
