D. K.The Level 2 course was exactly what I was after - a structured, engaging course to learn all the basic elements of wine-making that all enthusiasts should know. Raul's teaching style is both fun and professional and prepares students well for the exam. The wines tasted were of high quality and the course took place in an impressive venue. It's clear to see why Raul has such a high pass rate and I look forward to taking Level 3 with him in the future.

M. M.Super delivery of wine training. We recently completed WSET Level 2 with Raul. The instruction was excellent, clear and direct. Perfect emphasis on the key aspects of the material. And a premium selection of wines to taste, enjoy, and learn from. It's really hard to imagine a better wine-training set-up, and we'll be going back to Raul for your WSET Level 3 training in a few months.

T. H.Back in November, I did the 'WSET Level 2 in Wines' course and it was everything I expected and more! Raul's passion for wine radiates through every second of the course and it's impossible not to be inspired! s. s.Raul is an amazing teacher. He skilully introduces you into the world of wine, going through the theory and the tasting whilst weaving in fun stories or anecdotes over the course of two days. The large number of concepts remain in your head (even when you doubt yourself) by the time of the exam. I went to the course to expand my knowledge. P. B.My wife and I have recently completed WSET Level 3 with Raul, having previously done both levels 1 & 2 with him. Obviously we have kept going back for a reason! The structured approach and teaching style of Raul and the other teachers is great. The location of the courses (the Corinthia Hotel) is wonderful too - far better than a normal classroom! Our wine knowledge and appreciation is now at a different level compared to where it was... if you like wine, the WSET courses are welll worth doing and give you a good structure to think about them. The courses do get much harder as you go up the levels so a good wine school is essential. Raul and the Wine Training School was definitely good for us - we both passed Level 3 with distinction :-)

The course is structured in a way that makes it both interesting and fun meaning that you retain the key information more effectively. The result was amazing. First, we started with an assessment of my own skills. Then, I had to teach a lesson from scratch and Raul helped me to identify areas for improvement.
The practicle approach of the sessions, paired with Raul's clarity and precision, allowed me to learn a lot in just 4 sessions (2 hours each).

L. T.I attended Raul's (Wine Training School) WSET Level 3 course in February 2020. What can I say about his classes if not highly reccommeding them? I decided to study WSET Level 3 with Raul after meeting him during my Level 1 and 2 lessons at the WSET school in London. Amongst all teachers, he was my favourite. After successfully completing my WSET Level 3 course with him, I couldn't have been happier about my choice. Level 3 is more complicated and it goes much more in details in comparison to the first two levels. However, I really enjoyed Raul's way of teaching, which was very clear and was able to always keep high our attention (although the lessons lasted several hours). I think that Raul is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wine world and he is definetely able to transfer the same feelings to his students. Finally, I also have to add that the location where the lessons are held is very comfortable and quiet; this surely helped me focusing during the classes. Thanks Raul (WineTraining School)!

He explained the difficulty of Level 3, and kept me focused on what needs to be done to pass the exam. Tasting samples were again great, and helped me enhance my tasting ability. I also liked the structure of the Level 3 course (i.e. Saturday classes for 5 consecutive weeks), which gives me sufficient time for review, while keeping me focused on studying.

Many times we wanted to ask questions that were outside of the scope of the exams, and he would remind us of the parameters and what was necessary. Small class sizes are great, and wine tastings were frequent and with quality wine. 10/10, would highly recommend.

I did the level 2 and Raul is an amazing teacher , explains everything in a clear and easy way with a brilliant methodology.
This course gave me a solid base of knowledge about wine , good for everyone who wants improve his/her carrer in the wine field.
this course is not the cheapest in London ,but the class is composed from a small number of students ( everyone has time for any clarification) and every topic is done in details with a nice selection of wines.

a. c.The overall experience was excellent! The class is held in a beautiful, modern yet classy 5 star hotel. Once you enter you are given the same treatment as if you were a guest at the hotel. The location of the hotel/school is in central London next to all the best attractions (i.e. Eye of London and theatre district). The class setting is very professional, clean and overall fantastic. Lastly and most importantly the teacher; Raul is someone who wants you to love wine! His desire for you to learn and understand each and every country and concept exudes through his teachings. He makes even the less "interesting" chapters fun. At times he had me laughing a lot because he uses his sense of humor to make you grasp different concepts. He explains in a clear and concise way and will even stay after to help you with topics you may not understand. When I searched for course providers, this caught my eye as Raul had made a fantastic website compared to others. Comparing other institutions, he charges slightly higher than average but that was initially one of my motivators. But Raul proved once again, "you get what you paid for".
I was quite anxious before I attended my first class as I had ZERO knowledge on wine whilst most of his pupils were working in the wine industry. When I say ZERO, I mean I could barely pronounce any of the grape types let alone knowing how each of them "should" taste.
So you ask about the class experience? You will not fall asleep, I guarantee. Even the most boring parts of the WSET course, Raul manages to pull the "coldest" jokes but surely puts a smile on your face. The classes are always interactive - Raul constantly puts you on your toes, makes you read, revise and revise again until you remember it.
I have not tried any other WSET institutions but we've all been through enough classes in our early stages of life to recognise a good teacher. If you appreciate humour, interaction, encouragement and patience from your mentors or teachers, look no further.

I did the WSET Level 2 last month. I learned heaps and the smaller class sizes made the learning environment more intimate as well as giving us much more opportunity to ask questions. He also prepped us well for the exam, prodding us and reassuring us in equal measures.
I'm now very much enjoying my enhanced ability to pick good wines in restaurants as well as to recognise a bargain when I see one. :D
If I do the Level 3 course, Wine Training will be my first port of call.
