I looked at various potential tutors before picking Rob and he proved to be a perfect choice for my needs. He is kind, considerate, flexible, knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. It is also of enormous benefit that we are very close in age, so our musical preferences and our attitude to life in general are compatible. I had previous experience from my teens learning classical guitar but had not played in 40yrs. Having acquired a piano from my late mother-in-law I decided to take up music once again and in particular the piano, principally for my own enjoyment. I have been with Rob now for over a year and have been very pleased with the progress I have made with his direction and support. I have tackled standard piano course pieces, some popular classical pieces (Beethoven, Chopin, Satie and Brahms) and am now venturing on to popular song pieces (Beatles, Joni Mitchell and Chicago). As well as the more formal exercises of scales and musical theory. I have nothing if not a wealth of variety in my musical journey.

Rob taught me how to play the piano and the guitar. He was a fantastic person to be around, very professional and very caring. I also know former students of his from the same town who loved him as a teacher when they had him.

Robin taught me bass guitar and piano as a child and more recently has given my sons, aged 10, 8 & 5, piano lessons. He makes it fun and interactive for the kids so they're learning while enjoying themselves. He's also a kind, grandpa-like figure, to the point that many kids who aren't related to him call him grandpa. I highly recommend him! :-)
