The centre is a lovely place to ride. Easily accessible and in beautiful countryside making you feel far away from the city. The facilities are good and the horses look really well and happy. There are good arena spaces with horses and ponies for any ability. The staff were very friendly and there's a great little cafe selling snacks and lovely homemade cakes.

My 9 year old neice had a first lesson here today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. All the horses looked very well cared for, there were plenty of staff around and I felt there was no compromise on safety. Other visitors also appeared to enjoy their experiences. I would not hesitate to return.

My first visit here last week and what a fabulous place. It’s close enough for convenience but far enough away to be out in the beautiful countryside. The centre is extremely well looked after, as are the horses. The facilities are amazing and the staff on site are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Friends have recommended the dog club which we can’t wait to try on our return visit.

Had a fantastic experience at Carrington riding centre. My daughter had been wanting lessons for a while & after good reviews & word of mouth from my friends, i booked & took my daughter along. They got my daughter so involved from start to finish & talking her through the process of riding etc to make her feel at ease. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience & i will definately take her back!! The staff were all so friendly & helpful. Definately a 5 star experience... thankyou!!!

My first visit here yesterday and what a delightful place. Close enough to the motorway for convenience, far enough away to be out in the beautiful countryside. Wonderful riding centre! A huge amount of patience with students of all ages and levels, which yields some excellent progress. The fact that they teach all aspects of both riding and caring for horses, gives all those involved a very balanced idea of the whole experience, and they are also willing to use appropriate discipline if necessary, to ensure that all students are treated fairly. The only thing that we would alter is that teachers aren't also allowed to ride as well due to insurance conditions, as we're always very jealous of the students we take to Carringtons! However, we understand this completely, and it would be impossible to recommend and rate Carrington Riding Centre too highly! Thank you for all your hard work with our students.

Booked half an hour lesson for my 2 and half year old grandson for his birthday. Best birthday present I ever got. Well trained pony, Alaska, and brilliant trainer. From what was supposed to be a one time treat, I have just paid for another lesson!

Today my 6 years old daughter did an introductory class which was a 30mins riding lesson. We find the staff and younger volunteers are polite and helpful when she felt nervous and broke into tears. However we felt ashamed and my daughter find it discouraging when the teacher gave negative feedback openly infront of other Parents and Children.

I would highly recommend Carrington Riding Centre. Both myself and my daughter have weekly lessons and are always made to feel extremely welcome. My daughter is part of the saddle club which teaches her how to be safe around ponies/horses and how to look after them; she really enjoys receiving her pony club badges. I would spend every day at Carrington if I could. My daughter also had her 7th birthday party at Carrington a few weeks ago, which was amazing. The children each ride their own pony for half an hour and take part in stable management activities. 😀

My daughter Georgia has just turned 9 and has now been riding a little over a year. We came to Carrington 7 months ago after she attended one of the pony days and she instantly loved the place so we moved from our local club in Wigan. She attends Pony Club each Monday and has private lessons with Mel every other Sunday. We find all the staff and younger volunteers polite and helpful. The teachers we have had Mel, Kerrie and Abbie are brilliant and really encouraging. We would highly recommend Carrington Riding Centre .

Both my daughter and I ride at Carrington and i’d highly recommend. The groups and lessons are well organised, and structured based on ability. Returning to riding after a very long gap was somewhat daunting but I can honestly say it has been the best decision I made. A lot of credit must be given to the staff who work tirelessly to make this a really positive and enjoyable experience for both riders and spectators. Everyone is friendly and always happy to help. over time, our visits have become as much of a social catch up with staff/friends as well as enjoying and developing our riding. It really is a pleasure 👍

Carrington riding school is an amazing place, My daughter attends 3 days a week and in the school holidays she would go everyday if she could it's her happy safe place. The staff go above and beyond for not only her but for everyone.They all know there stuff and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't ever send my Daughter who's Autistic and has a long list of other health problems anywhere else and I'm 100% she wouldn't let me send her anywhere else . I have 3x children who ride here and I cant wait to get back in the saddle myself as I've not rode I 24 years but I trust theses guys will get me back up to scratch

My son has been coming here for 4 months now. Staff are friendly and professional and always show encouragement towards the riders. From my experience safety is paramount and treated as the upmost importance. Lessons are great value for money and my son looks forward to his lesson every week.

My daughter has been riding here weekly for the last 5 years and always beaming with joy after her lesson. Occasionally, it can get busy especially when there are parties, which are sometimes given priority. However, we have had party there ourselves and fully appreciate their effort for trying to make a little girl's special day magical. They run lots of activities during school holidays too, which is very handy.

I have been a client of this riding school for 12 years now and am so glad I decided to learn to ride here! As a child I attended Pony Club, which I enjoyed so much I decided to take professional equestrian (BHS) qualifications. I trained for these at Carrington and passed all on first attempt thanks to the excellent standard of coaching. I always receive a warm welcome from staff and all of the horses are so well cared for. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

What a great riding school. Everybody is so friendly and approachable. After not riding for 5+ years I wanted to get back in the saddle, I was very nervous but after only two ‘take back the reins’ sessions I’m rearing to go. The lessons are very constructive, they have a variety of horses who all appear well cared for and the tack is impeccable. The yard is very busy but very organised, I can’t recommend them enough!

I highly recommend this farm, the staff are friendly and sociable and they make you feel part of the farm immediately, my daughter has just started lessons there and she really enjoys the horses and instructors. My daughter used to go to ryders farm and she had to constantly kick the horses just to get them to move and she had to have very short reins, unacceptably short. And the instructors never taught her about diagnals or to keep her heels down, it was just a "walk on! Shorten your reins and smack him the whip" as soon as my daughter moved here she has been much more happier, the dogs are also fun to stroke while watching the lesson

my daughter loves horse riding and so we took her as well as two others and it was absolutely brilliant.They had their first session of the rosette course and the lesson was so well structured.the instructor helped them to do different things on the horse and they really felt they learnt new stuff. we have tried other riding schools before we tried CRC and this was the first time they had a really decent lesson .the stable management after the lesson was great and they really enjoyed that too.the staff were helpful and friendly.also very impressed at the condition of stables and the numerous riding arenas. Carrington you've scored #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went here for a children's party. The centre is very well set up for training and has many qualified staff. They are also highly certified. There are approximately 300 ponies and horses based here to suit all standards. I would definitely recommend them. Ensure that long sleeves and long trousers are worn along with shoes or preferably boots with a small heel (for stirrups) - strictly no trainers. Riding hats /helmets are supplied.

We love Carrrington Riding Centre, the only centre close by to accept children under 4 on lessons. My daughter is horse mad and started her lessons at 2 and a half. We had her 3rd birthday party at Carrington and it was brilliant. Always reccomend to others.

I just completed an intensive riding course at Carrington equestrian center over a long weekend. Although the service wasn’t listed on their website, the owner Sharon was very accommodating. She arranged an amazing program for me and my friend that included flat work, jumping, dressage, and a hack. I rode three different horses each day and learned alot from the experience. I now feel confident handeling horses with different temperaments. Also, i had one instructor throughout the course which was a good idea. Working together for three consecutive days, she knew where we left off and where we should start the next day. It also gave her sense of when she should challenge me to take my skills to the next level. My instructor Lucy was friendly, gave me constructive feedback, answered my many questions patiently, and provided me with enough challenge to keep me motivated. The facility is great as well. They have five arenas, a cafe on site, and a shop. It had a lively atmosphere during my visit. Overall my experience was great and I highly recommend the place. Excellent customer service.

Just as a heads incase your wondering which customer I am that's left this review, I came on Sunday 23 June, I brought my 2 children for the session between 1.30pm - 2.00pm and if I remember correctly it cost £13 each,the horses we were on were called FUZZ AND POPCORN. I'm giving it 3 stars but let me be very clear the place looked really cool and over all it was Awsome. The reason Iv give it 3 stars is because we arrived at 12.45 pm we came from the otherside of Manchester (Salford) it took me approximately 35,40 mins getting there. We were well befor our session began but for some reason all the other children were given a ponys and were allowed to walk them down to the riding area. We're were told to wait there. Then we're told to go to another area to collect our ponys, which happen to be the wrong place because they were having a party. Then we're told to go across to the correct place. When reaching there at 1.35pm my 4 year old son was given a pony but my 3 year old daughter had to stand and wait because there was no pony available/somebody else was using the pony. At this point my daughter nearly began to cry because all the other children were on ponys except for her. Eventually my daughter was given a pony called FUZZ, lovely pony my daughter loved it. As soon the clock went to 2.00pm the session finished sharply. I am however going to try the place again and give it another chance.
