This was an excellent course which has reaffirmed what I had taught myself and give n me pointers on how to further improve. The practical feedback on images is very useful and professional and the course tutors will take your images (with your permission) and re-edit them to show you how you might proceed. Don't hesitate! No matter if you are a complete beginner or experienced and seeking to reboot or improve your skills you will find a great deal of value with IOP. I've been taking photographs for 40 years and having just completed my Professional Diploma in Photography, I can honestly say that I have learned massively from this course. My skills, techniques and confidence have all been really boosted. The course is very easy to follow, there is so much interaction, bucket-loads of useful and relevant practical work and the assignments and feedback are in-depth and very constructive. It is genuinely good!

I can't reccomend the Professional Photography Diploma Course highly enough, it was a real life changer for me and given me the knowledge and confidence to capture beautiful wildlife images. Just completed the Diploma in Wedding Photography via IOP. What a nice introduction to wedding photography! The course is clear, complete, hassle-free - giving a great overview of what wedding photography is about! I'd recommend this to anyone considering a career in wedding photography - or even practicing it on the sideline to earn a few extra bucks! I can't wait to now start the Advanced Diploma in Wedding photography, which appears to be much more of a hands-on course!

I would say I learned a lot through doing this course by going through each unit and learning something more each time. The units covered so many aspects of what it takes to be a better photographer. It felt like quite hard work but that is because I was challenged to do better and now I feel that was very much to my benefit. It was pleasurable to go out taking photos knowing that it was part of the learning process and leading to progress. I would recommend this course for those who are serious about learning how to be a better photographer.

Once again IOP have come up with another great course in their Diploma in Wedding Photography. It is great for the new budding wedding photographer wanting to try and get into that field and is certainly thought provoking for those with some experience. I have just completed the Lightroom course and will recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to use it. I have been using Lightroom since version 4 (LR4) and didn't think I could learn anything from it, but I was wrong! This course has lots of tutorial videos which anyone can learn from and a plus side to this course is that everyone has access to all the exercise files so you can experiment with the brushes and settings yourself. I have currently enrolled in 4 IOP courses and this is the third one I have now completed. I hope they continue to make more excellent courses for people like me.

I recently completed the Advanced Diploma in Photography. The course is comprised of small modules dealing with each topic and then a test at the end. This allows you to study at your own pace in manageable chunks and you have the option of going back and reviewing previous sections at any time. Once you have completed the basics on using the camera you get to the photo submission stages. You need to pass each module before going on to the next but this makes you look at topics you may not have considered before and try new things. Once you have done those you then have to submit photos for the final exam. I found these last stages extremely helpful. The examiner (Tim in my case) thought far more about the photos than I did when I was taking them! The useful insight and advice he provided was worth the course fee on its own. I have now signed up for the Lightroom course so I must be pleased with things :)

I have just completed the Diploma in Lightroom Editing and have really enjoyed the clear and concise videos which explained the workings of Lightroom. I edited the example pictures along with the tutor who explained what effect he was after and he went through the process step by step how to get the effect. I have also completed the Diploma in Lighting which was also very good, teaching me loads of new tricks! All my courses have been excellent value. Thank you!

I have just completed the Advanced Diploma in Photography and found it an extremely enjoyable and informative way to advance my photographic skills. The course is relaxed and does not put the pupil under pressure - all assignments can be carried out at the preferred pace of the pupil. Assignment feedback is informative and enlightening. Negative points are explained in a manner that encourages the pupil to experoiment and produce a better image. Tim McCann has a delighful way of inspiring a person to seek improvement in their images and to strive for a different perspective that will make for a better photograph. I would heartily recommend this course to anyone interested in improving their technical skills and overall knowledge..
