Grace is the most amazing teacher! I have been with her for almost 2 years now and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Starting as a complete beginner with no confidence in ever learning a musical instrument, she brought back my confidence and I feel like I am improving with every single lesson. She is patient and has a way with words when explaining theory and techniques. The lessons are tailored to my ability and music interests and she always finds creative ways to help me improve. Grace is the most fantastic teacher. She has taken time to understand our son's musical interests and passions, often adapting the lessons to incorporate and capture these whilst also managing to give him a strong foundation in reading notation, theory. Grace communicates new musical ideas and techniques with ease, always ensuring our son understands. He looks forward to his lessons each week and comes out of every session buzzing to get home and practice. I have had lessons at The Groove Hub for a couple of years and always look forward to them and thoroughly enjoy them and intend to have them for the foreseeable future. Grace is a brilliant teacher and blends the lessons with current work and additional exercises that fit in perfectly going forward. The lessons are so well constructed that you know she has been preparing them in advance and so she is spending much more time on you than just the hour you are with her. Drumming is a great hobby and with Grace's tuition I see improvement every week and that in itself is so satisfying. I recommend "The Groove Hub" for anyone interested in drumming from complete beginner to people aspiring to be professional as I know the facilities and Grace's teaching will get you to achieve your goals.

I've been having lessons off Grace since April after buying an electronic drum kit during lock down. Before my first lesson, my coordination was next to none existent and my drumming technique was best described as an enthusiastic animal from the Muppets. However I can now hold a steady rhythm and play recognisable beats. Grace has a relaxed instruction technique and is willing to give examples of how it should be played so that you can hear it in your mind and has a range of different methods to draw out of you the right beats I am very pleased with my progress and look forward to the weekly sessions where I am pushed towards more complex playing patterns. The cabin has AV equipment so you have a monitor in front of you to see sheet music, notes etc and audio where you can plug in your headphones to hear the track you are playing along to. The kit has recently been upgraded with new skins and an additional Tom has been added, plus practice pads so the noise levels can be reduced. The location at Pollard Yard is different but strangely suitable. There is secure off street parking where I have always found a spot and toilet portakabins which are clean and tidy From a Covid perspective, Grace and her student are separated by a perspex screen so no worries there. Highly recommended
