My son has been taking guitar lessons at the Music Shed for the past 5 years and he absolutely loves it there! Dave and Dawn’s passion and dedication towards creating such a welcoming, fun and accommodating music school is beyond words. It’s been amazing seeing the progress my son has made since he first started aged 5, and could barely hold a guitar properly. The Music Shed is very accommodating for all ages and abilities. It’s such a supportive and positive environment. I would highly recommend giving it a go.

Myself and both my daughters learn at the music she’s. My youngest is learning drums, my eldest bass and I’m just having fun playing guitar in an adult group. The environment and teachers are so supportive. Lessons are always fun and the girls come out so energised every week. Plus Dawn and Dave go to do much effort arranging showcases and gigs which give everyone something to work towards and means the whole family can get involved even if they don’t play themselves. If you’re thinking about it I highly recommend that you give the shed a go. You’ll love it!

My son has been having guitar lessons here for around 2 years and I can honestly say you will never find a better music school for your children to attend. My daughter has just started singing lessons now too and absolutely loves it! My son has lessons and in a band and doing gigs, he has really found his love for music and made some lovely friends along the way. The owners Dave and Dawn are the nicest people you will meet, always accommodating and they go above and beyond to help us if we need to switch a lesson. Honestly 5 stars is not enough, I would rate it more if I could.

Great music school, can't fault the attentive and personal touch of the management and high standard of teaching. Our son has been having drum lessons for 2 years now and he's loved the opportunities the Music Shed has given him to really develop his technical skills and work through grades, to also be part of a band and gain lots of performance experience. We've been so impressed, we've also enrolled our daughter for singing lessons and she's loving it!

My hubs and our 3 children have all had lessons here, including guitar, piano, African drums and ukulele. Each and every one of them enjoyed coming to the shed. Their teachers have always been brilliant and adapted to meet their individual learning needs. One of my children has autism and Dawn went above and beyond to keep him engaged and moving forward with his learning when he was very rigid in what he wanted to do.
Dawn and Dave are a credit to our community and I know they will only ever use the best teachers. How do I know this? They are parents themselves and their own children have undertaken lessons at The Shed!

My daughter has been doing piano lessons here for awhile now. She loves it and her teacher Ollie. Dave and dawn were amazing all through covid 19 lockdown accommodating online lessons to give all the students some for of normality.
This is the best music school around Salford (and Manchester in my opinion) everything they do here is so professional and in the best interests for their students, young and old they accommodate any age or disability. They love to get involved in local community and are not money grabbers. I would 100% highly recommend this music school to anyone who is taking up a new interest or wanting to excel in something they already know.

My son has been learning the electric guitar at The Music Shed for over two years. The teaching is absolutely first class and he is now a very accomplished musician.
He plays in one of their many bands, which has increased his confidence, team working skills and playing ability massively.
The school is run by Dave and Dawn who work tirelessly to give all students the best possible learning opportunities and organise events, gigs and radio appearances to showcase what they can do.
Perhaps most importantly, the school has a family feel and takes its role in the community very seriously. It is inclusive of all backgrounds and works with children, young people and adults with disabilities. The school has had a huge impact on the community in Eccles and Salford.
I can't speak highly enough about the school - you won't find a better place in Salford to learn a musical instrument or take vocal lessons.

My 9 year old daughter says: I love the music shed because all the teachers are nice and don't boss you around. They let you say what you want to learn and choose if you want to do grades or not. Everyone is friendly. If you go to a show and are nervous, teachers, staff and children help to encourage you. There are lots of chances to perform.
I say that it is wonderful to be part of a really special music school, embedded in the Eccles community and welcoming to all. The approach of the teachers is always supportive and encouraging, yet also challenging to get the best out of their students. Dave and Dawn's enthusiasm and commitment to providing the best possible experiences for the students is outstanding. They are passionate about music and developing young people, they go way above and beyond it being their job. So pleased to have found this gem!

A fantastic music school with community at its heart. Run by extremely passionate people working so hard to make a welcoming, creative place for learning. My daughter (15) and son (11) have both attended to learn how to play instruments and join various music workshops. They both love The Music Shed so much - as do I!

My 2 daughters are involved with this fantastic music school. The teachers are very friendly and flexible. All the people, not just the children are happy to be there. You can have a chat and a cup of tea while waiting. The adults who are learning a massive variety of instruments or singing will stop for a chat. It’s quite simple, if you want to learn an instrument or learn to sing, this is the place to go. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would give 10, FANTASTIC PLACE, FANTASTIC PEOPLE ! Keep up the great work and KEEP ON ROCKING 🎸🎤🎹🎼
