Very impressed with Instrument Factory. My 6 year old daughter started piano lessons few months ago and progressed so much already. Loves her teacher Chad, he is really amazing, very talented and super cool. I would definitely recommend it.

I started learning the guitar two years ago at the Instrument Factory. Chris is a truly talented musician but there are lots of talented musicians out there. What makes Chris different is that he’s a brilliant teacher. If you want to learn and you’re prepared to do some work then Chris will make sure you get far better results than you think you can. Within a few months of learning with Chris I was playing in a band and we were performing at open mics: scary but an amazing buzz! Really recommend the Instrument Factory if you are serious about learning.

A fabulous resource for learning or recording music. Chris and his team are both knowledgeable and personable and bring a very diverse skill set to learning music. The environment is comfortable and the lessons are both engaging and fun. In little more than a year of lessons I have surpassed my expectations of my progress with electric guitar. My son (who has autism) attends multiple sessions each week where he has developed significant skills playing many instruments under the tuition of Chris & Dale who are both masters of their craft, and have a great rapport with my son. We also have through The Instrument Factory an opportunity to play as a band every 2 weeks which is great fun.

Not only is he a gray teacher, but he builds confidence in his pupils - who I would suggest consider him more a friend than instructor. Chris has been teaching me Bass Guitar and my Son electric guitar for over a year now - Whilst I don't have the aspirations to be a rock star, and am happy just chugging away, I've seen my son progress to an excellent performance standard - The work he does with the build-a-bands is amazing, getting musicians working performing together really quickly, again to a really high standard. I have been having bass guitar lessons at the Instrument Factory for just over a year. I had not played an instrument since I was a child, but had been meaning to start learning again for many years. As a 50 something, it is fair to say that I did not hold out much hope in my own abilities to start over, but I feel I am making good progress. I am very much enjoying the lessons. I like the friendly and informal sessions and more than anything, I am so pleased that after much searching to find the right person, my son [a young man with autism] has the tutors [for keyboard, banjo and drums], who are very experienced in understanding his needs and the way in which he learns. My son has and continues to make great progress at the Instrument Factory. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending The Instrument Factory to anybody looking to have music lessons.

Chris is an accomplished music teacher and a composer who has shown the right temperament and patience to nurture young talents like my son. I work for an SEN charity and use a lot of music in my sessions. I was looking for a special person to help teach the amazing young man I support. After asking the advice of local musical friends I was given the number of Christopher from the Instrument Factory, who has been the perfect fit. He has gone more than the extra mile and has so many skills to draw on. The sessions are some of the most fun I have all week. Hi, I passed the grade 1 in piano 12 years ago. I did not have the time to pass other grades and as everybody, I am working hard for a living. So investing time to progress in music lessons is tricky. Also, I wanted to start the blues. I tried unsuccessfully to find a teacher nearby, untill I met Chris of the instrument factory. In my opinion, it is probably the best place to progress in music, whatever instrument you want to learn ! (I believe that they have a music instrument to suit you) Anyway, if you want to progress and your time management is tight then you have the place to start or restart any instrument, any style, the Instrument Factory is definitively the place for you! My family gave me a bass guitar as a 60th birthday present, it was on my “when I have time” bucket list. All due to Chris, I’ve gone from being unable to play a single note to a real bass player in a band (one of Chris’s build-a bands) that but for Covid; would have played at his amazing open mic days. This guy has many musical skills combined with an effective style of teaching which makes it fun and is a highlight of my week. To cap it all with the help of Livvy, who’s a very talented vocal tutor. I’ve even found a bit of a singing voice. I'm never going to be a professional musician, but I enjoy learning stuff I can play on my guitar with Chris and also have found it fascinating and enjoyable to have singing lessons with Livvy too - great to have teachers covering such a wide range of musical instruments and although I can't speak for Dale as the main man teaching the drums, I can certainly vouch for how patient both Livvy and Chris are and how encouraging they are when my skills started improving. The Instrument Factory also has a great range of kit, which makes it ideal for 'testing' an instrument if you want to have a go and haven't quite decided to commit yourself to something new yet and taking the plunge and buying one, plus Chris has a wealth of knowledge if you're looking for an instrument to help you find the right one - pretty much whatever your musical ambitions, these guys have everything you need to support you on your way and to enjoy the journey!
