My son has been taking Kumon English at the Ponteland centre for over a year and we have always been very pleased with the centre. My son is always happy to go to Kumon every week which is equally important. During this time he has showed a marked improvement in his level of reading, comprehension and writing, which are currently approx 2 years ahead of his age. The centre is very well organised and the staff are professional, helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this centre and we will continue to send our son there.

Liz is an excellent tutor and teacher. She always responds in a timely fashion and keeps us up to date with our child's progress. Kumon kick started our days in lockdown and gave us structure when it was lacking. The individual and group remote Kumon sessions have been fantastic when it has been impossible to attend classes. Kumon is not too onerous and Liz is always prepared to help and tailor packages to an individual child's needs. In fact, Liz cannot do enough to help, she always has the child's learning at heart in everything she does. The children really admire and respect her because they know she is ultimately trying to make sure every child reaches his/ her potential. We are so lucky to have Kumon in Ponteland; having seen how it works it its such a pity that all children in the uk don't get the chance to participate.

Both our children have been doing Kumon Maths for a number of years now. I have nothing but high praise for Liz and her Kumon centre. Liz is extremely attentive to the children's learning, and we receive regular, insightful feedback from Liz as to how the children are progressing. She runs a professional and efficient centre. Her staff have always been polite and knowledgeable, and have equally helped the children progress. Our children are excelling in their Maths, and studying the Kumon programme has helped them tremendously at school. I would highly recommend Kumon Maths and Liz, who is just a fantastic tutor.

Couldn't have asked for more! Liz, the centre manager, is doing a fabulous job in every aspect of the process and my daughter absolutely loves it. My son started with KUMON about 30 months ago. Firstly, he enjoys it a lot. He looks forward to doing the homework as it gives him a sense of pride, achievement and builds his confidence. What I have noticed is the improvement in his concentration ability and willingness to stick to the task. Sometimes when he moves up a level he finds the first few weeks tough but the regular support he gets from Liz helps him a lot. Liz's approach is very methodical and very disciplined. She is extremely organized and is very good at understanding at what level her student is performing in the subject. She is able to coach, encourage or challenge as per the situation demands. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience until now with KUMON as well the Ponteland study centre.

Liz Burrin was a huge help to our family with over 10 years of experience as a kumon instructor as well as her ability to explain sometimes complex ideas in a succinct simple way. I would thoroughly recommend kumon to any child regardless of their academic ability as allows your child to work years beyond their current school year.
