Stepney is an amazing place it has lovely volunteers lovely staff and horses. There’s great service and all together a wonderful place. I love riding the lessons and being on yard are really fun. The trips that we go on I always have a good time and a good laugh. The staff are really polite and the volunteers are a massive help. The horses are so sweet and friendly. Anyone wanting to learn to ride should start coming here I would really recommend it !!

Stepney is a great place that welcomes you with open arms. They help you with; bonding with the horses, confidence and basic life skills. Staff are very professional, helpful and make your experience a positive one. Volunteering is a great way to make friends, have a laugh, help others and connect with the horses. Stepney also offer a mentoring scheme that allows people to become mentors, training younger and new customers, also passing on tips and information that they have carried with them through their time at Stepney. The horses are suitable for new riders but yet also the experienced riders, every ride is different and staff will adapt the lesson to the horses on and riders confidence and abilities. You will be assessed and allocated to a level, ranging from: level1 to level4. This works the same with showjumping: beginners to intermediate. In the holidays Stepney provide small competitions within the centre for anyone to compete in, as well as offering lots of activities and trips in the holidays too! Stepney has helped me so much and brought out confidence I didn’t know I had, allowing me to pass it on to younger and newer riders. The best feeling is the positive feedback from customers, knowing you have helped them and given something they can take away with them forever. Riders from the age of 3 can ride and from the age of 8 can take part in volunteering. The website can give you loads more information of how to join the team :)

My daughter has been riding and volunteering here for the past two years. I myself have been there several times during this time. I have nothing but the highest of praise for all the staff at Stepney, such professionalism, kindness and care is hard to come by. The progression my daughter has made is obvious to see in her ability but what is not obvious is how she has grown in confidence during her time at Stepney. Volunteering here has been the making of her, she has been guided and taught with care throughout her time. Thankyou to all at Stepney for your patience and kindness. My daughter will continue to grow as a rider as as a young adult with you all. Would actively recommend you to any young person wishing to pursue life with horses. ( side note, your horses are a joy and so obviously happy to work with you all) . If you are still not sure why not go visit them and see for yourselves ❤️

My daughter absolutely loved these classes and the instructors seem very knowledgeable with helping young children learn to ride. Unfortunately I had the misfortune to meet one of the adults who showed no empathy to disabled people and was incredibly rude when I needed to use my inhaler despite me being told I'd be OK to do so when I booked. Thanks to his ignorance, I had to be hospitalised for a severe asthma attack (I had regular covid tests for my work which he deemed not good enough) I sent multiple emails to find out what the company policies were as the website had no mention of covid19 guidelines and I never had a single response. Overall the concept of this charity is great but some of the staff certainly need better people skills and a basic understanding of disabilities.

Amazing place and people - staff are fantastic and always prepared to go the extra mile . Horses very well taken care of, wish someone would look after me so well! Lessons are based on ability rather than age with instructors gearing the lessons to the appropriate age level, which they do very well. So easy to find out how you are progressing with progress cards. Excellent all round!

A wonderful place. My daughter, who is now 7, has ridden here since she was 2 and a half. Allthe young volunteers know her and look after her. The ponies are all great and so well looked after. My daughter loves it and would spend every day all day there if she could!!

I recently had my first experience of Stepney Bank Stables and it was nothing short of excellent. I was there for a team building exercise at work and the whole team had a great day. It's amazing how much you can learn about your team through working with horses. Highly recommend, will be coming back.

Next! Really?! Took my daughter here for two years I bet they didn't even know here name! Supported by numerous charities but still charge enough with no system to monitor the progression of the riders!
