Leigh, Mitch and the team at Norwich Guitar Academy are a great bunch. My lessons with Leigh have really opened up a whole new level of playing to me. Lessons are conducted in a very relaxed and structured manor and I've been improving …

I have been having lessons with Leigh for 4 -5 years now to keep on top of my bad habits. Every lesson has a clear structure and is always focused on what you as the learner would like to learn. Leigh is a master at pointing out whilst you are learning what you need to brush up on to progress your playing at the same time. This way everyone is a winner the learner gets to learn exactly what they would like and at the same time progress in their technical ability and understanding of theory. Leigh has become a great friend over the years. I would recommend Norwich Guitar Academy to any guitar player no matter their skill level.

I work as a teacher locally where I oversee the music department and I can say that Leigh and Norwich Guitar Academy are absolutely outstanding. As well as being very dedicated, positive and extremely generous with their patience and time with the students, Leigh and his colleagues have a passion for music and greatly care for what they do. Students tell me that lessons are always fun, accessible and something that they greatly look forward to. They make excellent progress as a result and they are very inspired. I often see these students beginning to teach other students what they have learned - something of a positive 'ripple effect'. The Norwich Guitar Academy's team has a fresh, contemporary approach and all of my students enjoy learning with them - so much so that there is often a waiting list for places. I could not recommend them more highly.

Had been trying to teach myself guitar from video tutorials on YouTube for a while and after little success, decided to try NGA. The lessons are really laid back and fun, Leigh really tailors the lessons around my own goals and ensures I have a few songs on the go at one time to keep it interesting! It has really helped me to learn from someone else who can watch and correct my technique which you cant get when learning from YouTube - would definitely recommend!

After one of my daughters had a few lessons at her school (with Mitch from the GA but unknown to me at the time) I started playing again with her and it re-ignited my interest as I’d played in the past but only a few basic chords.
I’ve always enjoyed listening to music but find playing even more enjoyable. I told Leigh I simply wanted to be a better player.
The lessons are always very enjoyable, varied and despite having less time to practice than I would like (work, Dad’s taxi to teenager daughters etc) I always find myself eager and fired up after every lesson to try and play whatever Leigh’s given me as well as I can.
Highly recommended.

I’ve been taking lessons with Leigh at Norwich guitar academy now for 7 months! I can honestly say during the weekly stresses and dull moments, my lessons at Norwich guitar academy are the highlight of my week. I feel as if each and every lesson for the past 7 months has improved my ability. I’m able to play the music I like whilst at the same time being taught new and exciting music to push the limits of my abilities. Not only this but my guitar lessons have dabbled in applying the theory to piano, as well as much needed singing practice which after a couple of weeks has already improved thanks Norwich guitar academy. I’ve learnt more than I ever thought I could already, I can’t wait to see where my lessons take me next, and I would strongly recommend Norwich guitar academy to anyone who wants to learn or improve their guitar abilities!

Leigh is a fantastic teacher, and not just for beginners but for experienced players as well!
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and felt like I was in a rut with my playing, and thought it was time to take things to the next level. Alongside this, I had a lot of grey areas of theory that I wanted to learn.
Leigh has helped me improve my technique; I'm playing faster and cleaner than ever. From the first lesson he has been clear, concise, encouraging, motivating and serious about my progress.
Whatever your ability, if you're thinking about getting lessons, stop thinking and give NGA a call.

Norwich Guitar Academy is very different from my previous teacher’s set up. This is a good thing as they are extremely organised and have much more space. They have a great approach to teaching and you can instantly appreciate the fact that they are very talented individuals who want to share their abilities with you. That in itself is extremely exciting. I always look forward to my lessons there and I always come away feeling like I made the right decision to have lessons there.

I had known about NGA for some time , and I am very glad to have started regular lessons with them. Leigh Sullivan is an excellent teacher. Lessons are organised, and homework is sent to your email address straight away at the end of each lesson. He encourages you to push your skills further allowing you to progress at a consistent and comfortable pace. My lessons are song based where I learn how to play a favourite and learn any relevant theory that is highlighted by the song. All in all a professionally run Academy.

I've always wanted to play guitar but never got round to it and at 57 I thought it would be to late to learn. But I started having lessons with Leigh 4 months ago and I'm absolutely over the moon at how I'm coming along. Leigh is outgoing and has a great sense of humour and an excellent guitar tutor, professional in every way. Thanks Leigh keep up the good work and I'll dedicate my first album to you lol. :-)
