We contacted Nergis during lockdown 2020. Our 3 year old son needed support with his speech sound development and although he was on the waiting list for the NHS this was delayed due to the pandemic. We found Nergis to be so friendly and professional. She had thought of brilliant ways to adapt her practice for working remotely and used zoom for our sessions. Our son found these really engaging and we couldn’t believe the progress he made with his speech sounds in such a short period of time. Nergis was able to visit him in his pre- school setting during Autumn 2020 so was able to model and inform the pre-school staff of his speech and language targets. We were also able to go and see Nergis for sessions at her office from January 2021 which my little boy really enjoyed and the face to face fun and interactive sessions again really supported his sound development. As parents we really appreciated the support and manageable targets that Nergis gave us to work on with our son between sessions. It was also great that she was so easy to contact for a quick bit of advice if we were finding certain targets difficult to work on. We would definitely recommend Nergis to other parents who have decided to access private Speech and Language support for their child.

With the help of Nergis, we had complete insight into our sons speech and language issues and a plan on how to help him moving forward. We have gained so much knowledge on how to deliver speech therapy at home effictively and a thorough understanding on other skills we needed to work on to make therapy successful. Nergis has always been available with advice and really broke speech and language down in a way that made it easy for us to implement and understand. We have worked with Nergis this year to support our little boy with his speech fluency and stammering. She carried out a detailed assessment at home and then helped us to adopt a range of strategies to support him. Dr Nergis has been amazing with our son!he had a limited set of words he used before.she held an assessment for him initially and set targets on where he needs more work His speech improved massively and he has started stringing sentences now.we were amazed to see so much progress.would definitely recommend her

I’ve had concerns about my daughter’s speech and language for a while but I was particularly concerned that she would struggle when she started school in September. We had been on the NHS waiting list for a while and then lockdown happened so I decided to see what other options were out available. I found the Young Talkers website and arranged an online chat with Nergis. From the first session I knew we were in safe hands. Nergis was incredibly knowledgeable and her passion to help children shone through. The lack of face to face sessions thanks to the lockdown has not affected the support she has provided. She has gone above and beyond to accurately assess our daughter and to teach us how to support her particular needs. We were eventually able to do a face to face session which my daughter really enjoyed and I learnt so much from just watching the techniques Nergis used. Nergis is now the process of setting up sessions with school to ensure that they understand our daughter’s needs and that the right support is in place. In addition to this Nergis has provided a number of resources to us and I have also made full use of her free facebook group where she regularly does live recordings on different speech and language topics. We have seen huge improvements in our daughter’s speech and language already and I have absolutely no doubt it is because of the advice and guidance from Nergis. There really hasn’t been a lot to be celebrate in 2020 but finding Nergis and watching my daughter flourish is definitely worth celebrating.

Nergis has been seeing my son for the past year, working together with him to improve his speech and stammer. She has built an excellent relationship and rapport with him, and he thoroughly enjoys their weekly sessions. She approaches the task in hand with a variety of techniques, stimulating games and conversation. His speech has improved dramatically thanks to Nergis. He has learnt how to slow down his speech with breathing and conscious thought to reduce his stammer. Her weekly visits in school hours minimise the disruption to my son’s school day; vital during the current pandemic. We’ll continue to work with Nergis for as long as needed. Nergis is the loveliest lady who has been a constant source of knowledge and support during a very uncertain time for me and my family. I approached Nergis after realising my little boy wasn't able to communicate like other children his age. He has gone from being disengaged and completely non-verbal to starting to have some understanding of what we're saying, engaging with his family and friends at nursery a little better and is even starting to say a few words! I truly believe none of this would have been possible without help from Nergis. She taught us how to communicate with him in a way that works for him - she gave us the key to unlock him. She is constantly in touch, even when we have had periods of no appointments as we waited for some progress. Nergis goes above and beyond providing material to use at home and messaging with little tips, I can tell she truly cares and that is invaluable. We still have a very long way to go but I know that with Nergis on our side we will be able to help our little boy reach his full potential, he may never be 'typical' but he can be the best version of him.
