Excellent Communication: My experience with Tutor Doctor was very positive. All of my e-mails were responded to quickly and with genuine care for any questions I had, really showing how much they cared for my learning and my satisfaction with the service. I came to Tutor Doctor in search of a Mandarin tutor to help prepare me for some exams for my degree. Finding a tutor in this field was more difficult than i thought at such short notice, but when i got in touch with Tutor Doctor they were able to line up a brilliant teacher immediately - Megan, who was keen to help in any way possible, and who put in extensive effort prior to each lesson to make sure I got the most out of each one. The owner of Tutor Doctor, Adie, was very helpful in the whole process of joining and often checked in to make sure I was happy with the tutoring I was receiving, etc. I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone looking for tutoring at a university level, or of course, secondary school level. I hope to use this service again when preparing for exams in the future.

Tutor Doctor have helped our daughter grow in confidence and in her ability in her English and maths. There’s no pressure to take on a large number of students as well so it’s easy to work around your own schedule! We’ve been exceptionally happy with Tutor Doctor from day one. Adie was helpful, friendly and professional from the very beginning, he understood exactly what we were looking for and after meeting our son, matched an excellent maths tutor for him based on his personality and interests as well as his learning requirements. This was the crucial part for us as he was quite resistant to the idea of a tutor outside of school, but he instantly liked Alex, who has been patient, positive and engaging. We receive a summary of each lesson by email, with progress notes and an action plan for next steps, and although it’s early days we can already see a big improvement in our son’s confidence after only a few weeks. I came across Adie quite by chance. From Day 1 he was professional and attentive, persuasive, but not pushy. Everything worked like clockwork. The tutor Adie selected for my daughter was a very accomplished undergraduate at a top University. She ran each session in a pacey manner, which gently pushed my daughter to engage with her triple sciences - in a different way to which she did at school - or what we could do as parents. Speaking to someone who has recent experience of successfully passing exams works well for students. Further, as a bi-product, seeing at first hand, the very high quality of undergraduates at our top universities made my daughter appreciate that it wasn't a 'given', by any means, that she could emulate them and win admission to a top university.

I cannot recommend this business enough! I came across a Masters Uni module that I just knew I was going to have a great deal of difficulty with because it was maths. I did my research, then I contacted Adie over at Tutor Doctor to see if he had a tutor who could help me. Adie paired me up with Foteini from Greece. Foteini was absolutely lovely from start to finish. She was so patient with me. I found everything so hard to understand but, without giving me any answers, she helped me to become confident enough to work hard enough to find them myself. I found myself researching websites and reading books I would normally shy away from, trying to understand and apply what I had learned to my module questions. If I got it wrong, Foteini explained the concept again, and again, until I figured it out. Before long I was spotting my own mistakes and correcting them! Foteini was extremely dedicated to helping me achieve my very best, even if it was very late at night. I was never made to feel like I was being a nuisance (even if I was being) and as a result, my confidence in myself grew. What I really admired was that Foteini was determined that I should I find the answers myself, and because she did, I am now well equipped for my next module. Thank you so much to Adie at Tutor Doctor and to Foteini for their faith in me and commitment to helping me learn. I will be forever grateful.
