L. G.For students with special needs that would not gain the same opportunities with other mainstream schools this is the best school in the area. They have supported my son relentlessly, supported us through diagnosis and in teaching him, patiently, the social skills he would not have had the opportunity to elsewhere.
My son is going to college now, something that wouldn’t have happened if he had gone to a specialist or even I believe any other mainstream school in the area.
Communication is good, you have to be an active part in this. You cannot just expect anyone in life to know how to best attend to your child’s needs and this includes the school they attend. You also have to be realistic and proactive. If your child needs you specialist support to find the right path, it’s not just a responsibility left to the school. You have to bear in mind that after school comes the real world, that is what we all are trying to achieve as a parent and an education provider.
I can not fault the school. It’s been a hard run for us all, my son, the school and myself. Yet with us all working together on a common goal, we have achieved it.
M. D. M.Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 6m digital planetarium experience to 150 Year 2 and Year 5 pupils at Hadley Learning Community. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the hall prepared just as I had requested. The day was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited but well-behaved students enjoyed a rich selection of content: peering up at the planetarium night sky; visiting the International Space Station; handling a famous meteorite and learning about the Moon and a future colonised Solar System. Thank you Hadley Learning Community for a very pleasant visit.
A. W.My first daughter to go through this school had fantastic support and is now about to start her second year studying maths at Aberystwyth University and my second is about to go into Yr 11, the teachers are passionate about what they do and respect their students.
