P. F.I was given a voucher as a Christmas gift for the Taste of East Asia cookery experience. In truth this had not been the course that I would have chosen as it represented a style of cookery with which I am unfamiliar and so was therefore initially felt completely outside my comfort zone.
However I had an excellent , enjoyable and insightful day. The cookery school is fabulous in terms of how it looks and the quality of the produce used and the actual kitchens. Bea our chef was a truly excellent teacher able to instruct with clarity, patience and lots of empathy. Thank you Bea for a wonderful day's learning.
V. D.I attended the junior class with my grandson he cooked chocolate brownie and chicken with noodles.
First I have to say receptionist Katie was lovely and friendly showing us round as we got there early.
We had a chat with our chef Paul beforehand.
In the class Paul was great at giving the children confidence in cooking.
My grandson throughly enjoyed the food was delicious.
Definitely recommend.

Amazing service shown all the rooms and free tea coffee and soft drinks unlimited with little fresh brownies
Learning how to properly season prepare and cook butter chicken samosas and rice, amazing head chef who was friendly kind and helpful.
We took all our food home and even made more samosas with the techniques we learn today.
Thank you so much for making my 24th birthday one to remember will be 100% coming back thank you to the whole team
C. B.I went for the Taste of East Asia class and had a great time. The team were really freindly and professional. I was a little apprehensive because I'm not an expert when it comes to cooking but that really wasn't an issue. They explained everything along the way and made the lessons fun, often giving tips for cooking and giving explanations for the the techniques. I took my friend who does spend a lot of time cooking and they also really enjoyed it. I learned to cook a few dishes and had lots of goodies to take away at the end of the day including recipe cards. I would definitely recommend it and will look to go back again for another class with a freind or for a date. Thank you for a fun day!
L. P.Next Level Teaching from chef Rob Cottam at the Next Level Baking class we attended. Also, knowing we were travelling far by train, the Academy advised us well in time on the best way to safely take our (many!) bakes back home so we were able to arrive organised and prepared for the trip back. Lovely spaces, lovely atmosphere, and the location is very convenient. Can't wait to be back!
G. S.My son attended the Fridge Raiders class (11-15 year olds) yesterday, he really enjoyed it and we will definitely be returning for another class in the future. Both the chef (Andrew) and the lady on reception were very friendly and welcoming.
S. R.Just had a fantastic afternoon at the academy. As a fulltime wheelchair user I was really impressed by their care and concern for a wheelchair user. This is the first time EVER that a company/association that I was visiting has ever telephoned me beforehand to make sure that all my needs would be accommodated. Our chef (Sally) was superb and assisted me without patronisation, which was refreshing in itself ! I attended with my daughter and we will be recommending the academy to everyone we know and will definitely be returning again. Well done ! Just one complaint and the academy is not the only establishment where this is the norm, but in the wheelchair accessible toilet it is impossible for a wheelchair user to reach the flush button on the cistern/wall because of large waste paper receptacles etc that are housed in the toilets. Please, leave more room at the side of the toilet so that we can flush the toilet ourselves after use.
R. P.Booked my daughter in for a Christmas junior chefs class. It was a wonderful setting, all the staff were warm and engaging, and we were made to feel so welcome. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself and we will definitely be back again in the near future to do more classes.
J. K.My partner and I went to the full day Taste Of France class today and just had the most amazing time. The chefs Vanessa and Paul were lovely - great at explaining and showing us what to do while keeping everyone in upbeat spirit. We have learned so much and will definitely cook many of these dishes again. While this was our first time at Gordon Ramsay Academy, we are already planning our next class as it was so much fun.
