Philippa is a wonderful tutor who has helped our son achieve excellent grades in his English GCSEs this year. She built a great rapport and was endlessly positive and encouraging, really bringing the best out of him. Philippa was also excellent at staying in touch with us and letting us know what was working well, where there were challenges and what we could do to help. It's safe to say that without Philippa's involvement, our son would not have performed as well as he did. Hopefully she will have the same influence over our second son who starts his GCSE cycle in September! Thank you Philippa.

I can’t recommend Philippa enough. My son found the transition from GCSE to English language and Lit a level hard and was on course to a C and demotivated. Philippa sparked his interest again and he just received a A in his A Level. Her deep knowledge and ability to share and explain concepts and text, whilst pushing my son ever forward and helping him keep on top of the work was excellent. Her personal care and attention to his well-being as a student was also beyond what I would expect from a tutor. She worked with him for over 18 months and I think the constant learning really paid off. Thanks again.

Philippa is an amazing teacher! I started taking lessons with her when I first moved to the UK. At the time, I couldn't understand a word, so the fact the she can also speak Italian helped me a lot. In addition, she was always attentive to my needs. Our lessons were tailored to help me improve in specific areas that I felt I wasn't good at (e.g. oral presentations, work emails, etc.). Our classes have always been fun and interesting, I couldn't have asked for a better tutor! Highly, highly, highly recommended!

Philippa is such a wonderful and supportive teacher (and one of my favourites!). I have been a student of hers for three years and I have progressed so much because of her. She will always comment on things to improve on and she is very encouraging whenever you are struggling in something. I have always found it difficult to write essays without panicking and overthinking but after all these years Phillipa has found a way for me to not do these things and I feel that I have progressed immensely. She has always answered my questions outside of lesson time as well as during the lessons and she is always friendly, thoughtful, and cooperative which make the lessons very engaging as well as entertaining!! Excellent tutor! Helped me with my A Level for the past two years. Phillipa puts in effort both on and off of calls, creating and editing entire documents tailored specifically to my work. She knows the answer to any question I ask, and always encourages my involvement. Not only is she excellent at teaching English (and the skill of teaching in general) but she is really friendly and easy to talk to, making the tutor sessions even more entertaining. I would take Phillipa over my school English teacher any day!

Philippa taught my daughter GCSE English for only 6 months, which greatly improved my daughter's English performance, especially her writing improved very quickly, which made her more confident! She is a good teacher. My daughter likes her very much. And now she can only take classes online, but she has prepared sufficient teaching materials for each class. The class is very motivating. My daughter likes to go to class with her very much ! My daughter and I are very happy that we can meet her and study happily with her!

Amazing! I can't say enough about Philippa's teaching. Philippa worked with my son for a extremely short period but the results my son received were something he has tried to achieve for a number of years now. Her enthusiasm for teaching makes english fun and my son has learnt more than he has done with any other english teacher. She adapted her teaching to fit my sons needs in order for him to achieve the much needed grades for a university place. Phillipa is amazing!! I had around 8 lessons with her for my English GCSE exam and i passed. I didn’t think i would but with her help she went through each exam question in detail and thoroughly. Excellent Business and Professional English Classes. I dramatically improved my skills and confidence in meetings, presentations and telephoning. We were a group of 3 people with slightly different levels but she personalised the course for us and satisfy everyone needs. Passionate, enthusiastic, full of positive energy and creativity.
