Very special thanks to David and Graham at Mains. They were fantastic! They worked with me via email to arrange fittings for my friend and I. We were travelling from Ireland for a friend’s wedding - My friend got delayed by a few hours and couldn’t make the fitting. David went over and above to help us out by opening the shop an hour early for a fitting the morning of the wedding. David and Graham were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The range of kilts was amazing and all looked brand new. Really can’t recommend Main’s highly enough. Thanks again.

Going to get a kilt was something I found extremely daunting. But from the get go I was instantly put at ease. I got measured for my kilt prior to the Covid epidemic and it wasn't finished until after the Aberdeen lockdown. But the shop rang me up multiple times to let me know where my kilt was in it's production process. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and they take great pride in putting a fit together. I would 100% recommend this to anybody in Aberdeen.

Great place to rent or buy all your highland and occasion wear items. Dave went above and beyond to supply our wedding outfits, even after a last minute date change due to post-Christmas covid restrictions. He made the fitting a memorable occasion and couldn’t do enough to help. Can’t recommend this store highly enough.

Excellent shop to rent or buy a kilt and accessories. Genuinely friendly and helpful service at very fair prices. Great selection of tartans, the kilt I rented was in like new condition and fit me perfectly!

We have hired from Milson and Main on a number of occasions and they have always been great so it was an obvious choice for kilt hire when we were planning our wedding. They were once again excellent, we hired kilts for the groom and best man, also for our 3 year old page boy. We took our page boy into the shop to be measured and they were great with him, really friendly and helpful. We also hire items for some of our guests - some of which had never worn kilts before and they also helped us out with a very last minute shoe hire! Always brilliant service from this kilt shop and we would highly recommend to anyone looking to hire kilts, we are also considering buying a kilt now so we will definitely be back!!

I used Millsom and Main this year for our wedding in August and my brother used them a couple of years ago for his wedding. We had 14 Kilts hired and most people came from abroad, there was a lot of coordination required and Scot and his team provided excellent service to ensure it was well coordinated and everything turned out perfect on the day. I've used Millsom and Main for a few years now, hiring kilts for various weddings, and rate them highly. Their own range of tartans is fantastic, and there is a good variety of accompanying jackets and waistcoats. This year I used them for my own wedding. The guys were great in getting my party measured up and made sure we didn't have anything to worry about. Everything from collection to returns was easy, and we got plenty of compliments on the tartan I went for (Scotland the Brave). They suggested I went for a jacket/waistcoat in a different colour from the rest of the party, which was a great shout too! Highly recommended.

I've now hired from Millsom & Main a number of times, and every time they get it spot on. The reasonable cost for the quality of product and service is hard to believe! Scot is always really easy to deal with, and gives you a personal service that can't be rivaled. I now live in London, but I'm often attending weddings back in the North East and it's as easy as a call or an email to Scot or the team and they take care of the rest. Their pick up and return policies allows plenty of time to get the most use of the outfit and there's never a hold up while collecting or returning. Couldn't recommend more.
