After buying some new Dr Martens yesterday and having bloody ankles from trying to break them in, I went in to Deichmann in Leicester to buy some insoles for them as they are slightly big (not big enough for an exchange). I was served by Rhiann who suggested some foam/gel insoles for them as they are supposed to be great for helping break Docs in. She was incredibly friendly and knew exactly which ones to recommend when I told her the situation.

Busy shop on highstreet good range and affordable price for shoes for men and women and children what ever in the shop quality wise not bad normally they have more staff to help you but this time less staff staff are very good well trained if they don't have item in store which you want they ordered for you and delivered at your home address for free or you can collect from store whatever suitable for you

Very busy shop on high street. Usually well staffed and tidy but on this occasion I staff to be seen apart from tills and boxes lying everywhere. Shoes are good value for money. I bought shoe spray this time which for 10quid did 13 pairs of shoes. In store it is 2.99 a pair!

The shop is clean and well lit with a fairly good selection of men's, women's and kid's shoes. The prices are average and they even sell other items like backpacks, umbrellas etc and there is also a selection of trainers too. My only negative is that they don't really sell real leather footwear the shoes etc look good but far as i can tell they are all man made upppers with other materials which are not always healthy for the feet as well as encouraging them to sweat more, whereas competitors such as Clarkes sell shoes with leather uppers.

A good range of reasonably priced shoes and a very nice lady on the till. However, the shop had a faulty, very loud extractor fan or some other gizmo which, combined with the obligatory musak, made for a must-get-out-soon atmosphere.
