Good quality shoes with a wide variety of styles. Unfortunately the sales staff were a little indifferent with regards to sales, it seemed like an effort to answer questions and trying shoes on. This was a marked difference to when I’ve been before where the sales assistant was more than willing to answer questions and tell me about the virtues of Barker shoes compared to others.

Excellent customer service. The assistant (H) couldn't have been more helpful. I bought one pair but also wanted to try the fit of several other styles for possible future purchase. I made it clear I wouldn't be buying them there and then but this was not a problem at all. One style was out of stock but a call to the Regent Street branch (the staff of which were equally helpful when I arrived) located a pair. An exemplary shopping experience and highly recommended.

I went to this store expecting it to be possibly a little 'snooty' but I'd say in fact it was highly accessible. I had read the negative reviews of the Regent's Street branch, having never visited I can't say, but this branch - the service was fantastic, very knowledgable and accessible and also extremely helpful and not unwilling to do you a bit of a deal for saving some money should you ask for it. They stock matching belts as well as socks here too, I definitely recommend visiting if you're in the market for new shoes, as you certainly won't be disappointed in the service you receive. Now let's be honest here, you're not going into this store if you can't afford the shoes, and quite frankly the shoes...are amazing. As soon as I slipped them on, I was sold on them. I only learned afterward that this store has a more professional line, the Regent's Street branch has more of the casual look, that being said I was still able to purchase some casual shoes here which worked a treat. I would recommend to check out the Barker website first prior to visiting so you know what you're looking for. The site has vast amounts of shoes that you simply do not see here, and you may need to visit this and the Regent's Street branch to find your shoes. Treat your shoes right and they'll last you a lifetime, they certainly feel like they will.

Was excited to come here from the US to get some loafers I saw on their website. They said that model was online-only, yet the Barker website made no mention of that. This is of course the website's fault. The staff were reasonably friendly, but didn't really do anything to offer suggestions (like for other shoe models I might like) or help me besides telling me I couldn't get them in the store and I'd have to order online. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, but mostly because the website stupidly doesn't list which shoes can only be purchased online.
