I was surprised to see some negative reviews here, every experience I've had with this shop has been lovely. I took some keys in to get a copy and to my surprise, the owner managed to get me a spare key and computerised fob ready within 5 minutes for less than £10 which was great. Following on from that, I took some shoes in to get a new sole. I've been really pleased with the result. They're expensive trainers, rather than dress shoes. So I'm assuming they had to cut the shoe soles in half and then stick a new bottom on. But it seems to have worked great and it's not noticeable at all. I've attached some pictures. I've also taken a coat in here to get the zip fixed. Whilst they don't do repairs themselves, they found a supplier who would do it for me, shipped my coat away, got it back all fixed for me to come and collect within a week. Every time I get something fixed, the owner always pauses and lets me inspect the items and asks me if it's ok or if I want anything else done to it. I would feel comfortable raising any issues with him at the time, he comes across as very friendly and caring. Overall, they've made my life a lot easier. I'm glad I live around the corner and they've almost become my go to place to get all odd jobs sorted because I know they can do it for me quickly, cheaply and efficiently.

They're the best. Have got my Redwings resoled - they look amazing. Taken countless watches there to get them fixed. And he also made my cat a collar from a belt to fit a tracker on it that I had bought. There's nothing they won't do. A rare breed of cobbler - absolutely dependable. I'd use no one else.

I’ve seen this guy run this shop for nearly 30 years and he’s never lost a step. Always helpful, always fair, always honest. He’ll do his best on a pair of shoes for you and take pride in his work. He just restored a pair of my Converse white leather retro basketball boots that we’re looking at an early death back to health. What can I say!

I brought my old watch in for a battery change. The watch had been sitting in my drawer for a few years therefore the back case was very difficult to get off. After trying a few times by a few different people, finally by the fourth day my watch was returned to me perfectly. The service was exceptional and the owner went extra mile to make sure that they try every possibility to get the job done. I really appreciate the kindness given which nowadays difficult to find. Well done :-)

I dropped three pairs of black dress shoes off - all of which needed a very thorough resole on a recent Friday. Colin surprised me when he said they would all be ready to go the next Tuesday, but I was astonished when he messaged me on the Monday saying they were all good to go - the last time I had shoes resoled (in west London) it took over a week, and that just for one pair! All three were perfectly resoled and good as new, and came back to me polished as well. The price was also fantastic. I will be using City Cobbler for all my shoe repairs from now on!

Boyfriend had a pair of shoes resoled here. The sole had just worn through and he offered resoling in original materials and also in rubber. Went with the rubber and they have been great every since. Great service! Have just returned with a pair of boots for fixing!

My name is Thom Jordan I was looking for a very good cobbler after being in lockdown and sheilding I thought I’ll take my battered Gucci loafers to city cobbler on tower bridge rd which was recommended by my husband who was praising the good work and quality and the customer service, so I decided to try it out and to my surprise I thought it was a new Gucci loafers I was being given the work was of a 5🌟service the gentleman who’s name is Colin was friendly with and greet you with a warm welcome smile and good customer service it a place I would highly recommend anytime oh I forgot to mention that another surprise I had my loafers back within 24 hrs pleases the are not much cobblers left so please use the city cobbler on tower bridge rd Colin thanks again for the excellent job

I came here to get the zip on my north face bag repaired, as I hate buying new things and chucking out perfectly good things that need a repair. They managed to fix the zip and it works no problem, but I felt I had to give 3 stars for a few reasons: 1) They charged me £60 for the repair, claiming they could definitely do it no problem, to me this felt like a lot of money for zip repair, I was also quoted around £30 later on another site, so this just didn't feel right 2) They estimated it to take around 5 days, it ended up taking around 3 weeks, with a few occasions of which they would tell me it would be ready and I'd either call up or show up and it wasn't, so it felt like they left it till the last minute. Overall, they fixed the bag and seemed nice, but I would say be wary of how much they charge and the time they take.
