Tried on a perfectly fitting right work shoe, "yes I'll have a pair of them please" Last pair in the shop, LUCKY i thought. Only to find the shoe i tried on had faded with the light and the left shoe was a totally different shade. Like wearing two different shoes. Offered a £10 reduction but still couldn't walk about with odd shoes on. Had to laugh when asked if I still wanted the insoles. Staff nice and friendly.

Asked for 3 different shoes. Hadn't any in my size, I'm a 9, so not exactly a uncommon size. I usually buy my work shoes from here as it's on my door step but it's not the first time it's happened.

Just rang up to query a purchase. Spoke to a lovely young girl, sadly didn't catch her name. Polite, so very helpful and went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service. Will be back to this store.

I have bought several items of footwear at the Sands shop at Swalwell. I have always found them very reasonably priced, easy to wear and the size that fits my feet (15). the staff are always very helpful and I have no complaints with regard to the service I have received.

Staff robotic I like someone to say hello when I at least make eye contact with them, not walking through the door with little ones bored out of their minds from uniform shopping and having to keep looking up to be polite myself to say hello back. The shoes were well displayed and didn't look like a jumble sale they just didn't stock shoes we liked so left empty handed

A great place for inexpensive footware, loads of choice, I've bought, shoes, slippers and boots here, you may not get the same quality as top of the range brands but the quality is acceptable for the price that you pay and I have no complaints about the durability of anything I've bought, there is loads of free parking at this store
