Got recommended of The Beeston Cobbler by a friend. Had an old pair of Clarks with crepe sole that had seen better days.
I’m not local and we agreed the work via social media messenger using photos. He suggested a Vibram style sole would fit best, and they look fantastic, they actually better than their original form!
Great customer service, communication and even better craftmanship, carefully packaged and posted back to me highly recommended - Thankyou

This is a great cobbler! As someone who doesn’t know much about shoes, I wanted my favourite boots resoled but didn’t quite know what to ask for. Brought them in and the guy was very nice and friendly and suggested what he could do. The price is also fantastic- he did a very good job and for a very good price!

Great service and great quality
More recently needed some custom shoes altering and he did a great job stretching them and even speaking to the folks who made them to get them altered. Great customer service, I won't be going anywhere else.

Dan is a great guy and The Beeston Cobbler is the only place I'd buy my shoes from and maintain them. Service and quality is outstanding.

Excellent service. Dropped shoes off for re-stitch at 11 they were done by 3 with a phone call inbetween to confirm what I wanted done and suggest a new heel too. Quick, professional, excellent and a great independent shop!

Outstanding craftsmanship. We had to have two straps replaced on a leather handbag, which was a very fiddly job. The result is perfect to my eye, it has been painstakingly repaired to a very high standard. Amazing value for money too, so in my opinion they simply could not be improved upon. Would recommend them to anyone.

Nothing is too much trouble for the Beeston Cobbler! I asked for copies of a key that was over 50 years old - he obtained special blanks for me and took great care to ensure that the new keys worked properly.
The Beeston Cobbler has also mended many items for us over the years - not just shoes, but a dog harness, a wheelchair, a rucksack - he finds a solution, however tricky the problem at a price that is always good value.
Now this very helpful service is housed in a shop full of interesting vintage items - and parking is very easy right outside.

My wife and I previously lived in Beeston and used the Beeston Cobbler for over 10 years. We now live over in West Bridgford, but as we have always been so pleased with the quality of the work and the service now travel over to Beeston to get our shoes and keys done. I've just treated myself to a nice pair of Barker boots which look great. Keep up the good work Beeston Cobbler.

Beautiful, traditional windows beckon you in to The Beeston Cobbler - which used to be in a tin shed across the road (still just about standing - but not for long). Fortunately, it's kept all the best bits, and acquired some new ones.
The smell hits you first - leather, polish, metalwork and... something else, but I haven't the foggiest what it is – it smells a bit like libraries, steam trains, museums, junk shops and timber merchants all rolled into one. Maybe it's just grease?
Really lovingly laid out, the shop's non-intimidatingly masculine interior is a great backdrop to this well-stock emporium of all things well-made. From socks to artisan keyrings; a lovely range of hand-made shoes to a tiny pot of dubbin. It's a reason in itself to not chuck away those shoes you'd love if they still had sole.
I've have had buckles mended; bags fixed, patched and re-handled, shoes resoled here (in both incarnations of the shop) and I'm so glad it's going from strength to strength and almost can't believe it's in Beeston, to be honest.
Although it is off the high street, so you have to wander a little off the beaten track to find it, it is right next to the bus stop out of town (just passed Amores).
The Beeston Cobbler is the oldest independent cobblers in Nottingham, and if there's a better, friendlier, more helpful cobblers anywhere in the world I'll chew my hat...
... and then I'd ask Daniel if he can fix it.

Oustanding, friendly service and great value. It's unusual to still have a shop like this that genuinely feels part of the local community. You'll quickly find excuses to go back.

Breathes life into battered looking heels, and has made a pair of much loved cowboy boots bought in Chicago, shine. Value for money and great service
