Just a short walk from the city centre, in a small retail park, so plenty of car parking spaces. Shop has a good selection of items for all kinds of animals, also a selection of live fish, a few rodents, reptiles and spiders, etc. Frozen and live food also available, as are live aquarium plants. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Take my dog here for her grooming. She is a nervous dog at the best of times but they calm her down and she then loves getting her grooming done and won't do any cutting until they go through it with me and advise. Would recommend here for anyone to take their dog.

This is your typical pets at home store. It's pretty clean and offers a wide range of pet supplies. I came to check out the fish supplies and went away with a few ornaments that were in a 3 for 2 sale. There seemed to be a lack of actual pets, not many fish available, couldn't see any rabbits/hamsters etc, but maybe they were between orders.

Helpful staff, and a nice clean store, Have all sorts of stuff for your pet needs, from items for your dogs and cats, have a small tropical and cold fish section which looked okay but unfortunately had some dead fish in a few of the tanks. Lovely staff, always ready to share product knowledge with a smile. Recommend downloading the pets at home app where you'll find handy money off vouchers. Currently customers are segregated at the single entrance. Hand sanitation at store entrance. In store though as with other retailers, it's up to individuals to keep apart from other shoppers. One way marking are not visible in aisles, so bottle necks occur. Staff also filling shelves during the day, creating no go areas as not enough space to pass safely.

Typical Pets at Home store on two levels - cats, vet, and Groom Room upstairs. Usually well staffed and always well stocked. Only downside is they no longer have a dog tag engraving machine. Feb 22 - appeared to be a bit low in some health products, but got a couple of good jackets & sweatshirts!

Always a pleasure to visit... Staff so helpful especially as I am disables if I know what I want they will nip and get it and put in the car for me. My daughter uses vets attached and I am impressed with level of care and knowledge diagnosed quickly rare illness in one of her cats that could have been devastating however on right medication / food one very happy spoilt moggie.

Very helpful place for all your pets needs. I had to change a dog jacket which was no problem despite me pulling off the tags. Star dropped on this occasion because of the quality of the original dog jacket. The store is usually 5 out of 5.

Got pairs of Breeding Guppys' the assistant was very polite' and was help full in knowledge' of these fish' I bought 12 females and 4 males" which was the ratio in breeding pairs" into a 105 liter tank'.I had.my concerns about transporting them home' due to very cold conditions" ( mobility scooter) I had pre thought of the conditions' and took a foam lined box' to contain heat'.we all got safely home' ( No casualties) they are very healthy'.happy'.in there environment' and I already have tiddlers swimming about the tank only after 2 weeks'..*( I have counted 12 tiddlers to date) .

Pet owners can find a wide assortment of materials for all sorts of species. There is a wide range of aquariums, hutches and tanks. Patrons can expect find many rodents, fish and a select few reptiles for purchase here as well as live insects for the later. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable enough to cater for many needs. Welfare is top priority for everyone here which is incredible and refreshing to see within pet stores. This store offers varied selection of materials to maintain husbandry for many different types of animals.

The place has everything we have ever needed for our puppy. I usually have to buy stuff online and have delivered to store (which is free and very quick). The staff almost always offer our puppy a treat when going through checkouts, as pets are allowed in store too - a lovely little touch.

Brilliant customer service; 1 lovely woman took me round the shop to help me find everything I was needing to buy (and not NEEDING to buy I.e I was told I needed much more expensive items and twice the amount I actually did just need) with the help & advice she asked from fellow co-workers who had a bit more experience with certain items and then proceeded to take everything to the checkout for me and then carried it all out and carefully placed items in my car.

My son always loves coming in to see all the animals. They're clearly well-cared for and seem happy. There's a huge variety of products on offer from pineapple ornaments for your fishtank to a huge aisle full of dog food and treats.

Very good range for quite possibly nearly every pet you can imagine! We got our chinchillas from this shop too and everything we needed for them. Whenever shopping in the retail park we always pop by to see the other little furries and pick up something for ours. Would very much recommend signing up with their loyalty card as we get offers every other month or so e.g. spend £40, get £4 off, 1/2 price deals etc. They just updated the app too so now you can get all offers on that so very convenient!

Absolutely brilliant! I've just moved here from America and to celebrate my moving and engagement, my fiancé and I adopted a bunny, since I raised bunnies since I was a child in the States. Ted helped us, and he was EXTREMELY helpful and real with us. I couldn't have asked for better service, especially since you could completely tell he genuinely cared about the animals in the shop. We'd easily come to him again. Our boy, Phantom was well handled, docile, and settled in insanely fast. He's super affectionate and you can tell he was well taken care of. In my years of rabbit keeping, I've never had such a great experience of adopting a bunny. He is super healthy and was even microchipped on the spot, along with given a voucher for the vet. We couldn't be happier, thank you!

Pets at home sells a variety of different animals and animal products. Prices are generally good however it is always advisable to check online first to see if you can cheaper. They will not sell certain creatures to you without establishing particular things first such as sizes of tank, etc., which can be annoying but they are doing it for the health of the animals. Some of the staff know their stuff, others don't. Take what they say and always do a little bit of research yourself. Hi I am happy to see the installation of the 'Vets for Pets' upstairs.

The shop was fine,clean and tidy but there were very few animals in the enclosures I'm sure that's good as they are either housed or at least not waiting to be housed, plenty of live bait, crickets, meal worms, and locusts etc.

Took my Guinea pig in to get his teeth filed down. Whilst initially the service was good, I was not made aware of any aftercare requirements, so when he got home and found he was struggling to eat, it became a bit of a problem. Left the missus to make contact today to get and emergency care pack. Another positive though, he had his clipped right back.

Great love it here, i got all my past pets from this place. My only problem is that the animals are not always in the best health. And some of there workers don't seem to know much, i went in one night to buy 2 hamsters, they didn't have 2 together, so the girl looked in the back, she came out holding 2 hamsters, she said they were 2 boys. As soon as i got home the two hamsters started fighting, so i went back affter 2 days, to buy another cage. I showed the hamsters to the girl at the counter, she said she thought it was a boy and a girl, and that's why they were fighting. But another man who worked there came over and said he thought it was 2 girls. So i bought another cage and now sadley they can't see each other any more.
