N.This is my favorite shop ever I just love it the people are so kind and have no problem looking in storage for you. I go there often with my dad and we always get a few funko pops or comics definitely go in if you are close by
A. H.Bedford's Close Encounters easily rivals Travelling Man or even Forbidden Planet in London--inventory is always well-stocked, staff is exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly. Glad we've got our own great shop in town.
C. L.I haven't been there often [broke secondary school student haha] but I usually visit when I want to buy a few volumes of manga [building up my junji ito and jojo's DIU collection] or just a nice plush. Recommending this over big stores like Waterstones–support your local businesses!

T. M.Great shop! Took my nephew in on his birthday to buy his first pokemon cards. Bub, one of the members of staff, was very friendly and helpful. He helped us choose the right products and even chucked in some promo cards free of charge. Make sure to explore upstairs as well, where there are lots of comics and books to explore.

Can normally find what I want for reasonable price
M. L.Lovely shop! I have never been in a comic book shop that has been so welcoming and nice!
First time being in one in a year and expected to just look at some titles feel unsure and a little overwhelmed with the choice and leave empty handed.
But the staff there (Katy), was amazing, not only very happy and friendly and chatty, but also amazingly knowledgeable! I asked for some reccomendations with vague information and she just went around the shop picking up around 10 different titles for me to consider!
With the choice of them all I asked if there was a surface I could place them down to check them out and informed me they have an upstairs area for customers (or guests!) To sit down and read and review, as well as holding a nice couple bookshelves of amazing books! As well as boxes the length of the room of individual older comics to peruse!
She also reccomended graphic novels I already owned which I feel just proves her amazing intuition at guessing and working out people's tastes!
I ended up leaving with 4 graphic novels and from what I've read so far, they have been amazing and I wouldn't have discovered them without visiting here!
m.Great store with a wide variety of toys, action figures, boards games, posters and a range of second hand books, as well as other product too numerous to list, you'd think they didn't actual sell comics, but.... thousands of graphic novels and tens of thousands of comic over two floors.
By the Bedford bus station, well worth a visit.
L. M.Excellent range of comics and merchandise, a whole room absolutely packed with back-issues upstairs so you can fill in any gaps in your collection and the new novel section is great for a curated selection of sci-fi and fantasy.
Original comic artwork up on the wall to browse and buy is a great touch, and lovely to see.
Shop has also been set up with a little sanitising station, counter screen, and everybody behind the counter was masked up and making sure customers did the same so I didn't feel worried while I was in there.
Staff were great and let me know that they do a subscription service so I don't miss out on anything!
